A Sloppy Love Story

 One might think I've gone crazy,
Sure because I act loony.
This is far from being lazy
T'is neither piquant nor funny.

Why reminisce on the life of a friend?
When he is out to strife for his ends,
I doubt that he ever remember,
That we once shared a cucumber.

Why stair at his pictures with tears?
When he has been gone for years,
I smell of him while daydreaming,
Though I'm not close to his thousand dreams.

To my friends I call out his name,
And some mistake it for his fame.
I hear his footsteps growing this way,
When actually he's going away.

Oh! Why this long and sleepless nights?
When he is happy with no plight.
Why with pleasure I wait his return?
When someone has taken my turn.

This is phooey!
But certainly not a hooey.
When will I leave this aimless lorry,
For mine is a sloppy love story.

Sloppy Joe

Chicken is nice
But I enjoy something with a little more spice
I looked at my head and I looked at my toe
I thought, "Dang I need myself a sloppy joe"
I went to Mcdonalds but all they have are burgers and fries
I wanted to leave but I really hate goodbyes
They came to take my order and I yelled, "I'll just take a sloppy"
They got a menu and went and made a copy
They told me they didn't have that here
So I just told them to bring me out a beer
They then said they also didn't have that dear
And I told her that she better stop being a *****
So finally after an hour of complaining
I left because it was getting a little draining
So I went home to bake my own dang joe
I couldn't find any meat so I cooked an old dang crow
Finally I got to eat
A sloppy joe is the best kind of meat

Sloppy Joe

Sloppy Joe
My messy surprise
They didn't know
Or didn't realize

What was in store
For they're meal today
It was not a bore
Like the sunshine ray

It would be such a joy
To see their faces
Like a kid with a new toy
To get all over places

It would be quite a mess
Give me some cleaning to do
But I can't expect any less
From a Sloppy Joe so true

Premium Member Sloppy, Slippery Rock

(Parody of Hickory Dickory Dock)

Sloppy, slippery rock
The boy ran up the rock.
The rock shook once.
The boy ran down.
Sloppy, slippery rock

Sloppy, slippery rock
The boy ran up the rock.
The rock shook twice.
The boy ran down.
Sloppy, slippery rock

Sloppy, slippery rock
The boy ran up the rock.
The rock shook thrice.
The boy ran down.
Sloppy, slippery rock

Sloppy, slippery rock
The boy ran up the rock.
The rock gave way.
The boy lost his sway.
Sloppy, slippery rock

There is hope beyond the words
Spoken by hearts, afraid and lost
In the silent thoughts, the darkness
Where doubts cast clouds, shadows
Across the sun’s reflections, prayers
For sweetest faith restored, the open door
To light that silences the turbulence
Of a past filled with grief and regret
Shame that sucks out all the wealth
Wisdom alive beyond the guilt, the distress
A life lived beyond the words, weathered
Poetry, prose, promises of psalms
Colored by hues of saccharine truth
Soppy fidelity to a maudlin youth

Sloppy, Jo

For the break.fast at hand,
So that I'll understand,
He makes me a sloppy jo.
... ug. So over I rolled.

She nibbles at JO,
waves g’morning to MO…

Mmmm.
A tasty treat, made so sweet,
I’m glad, one of us can cook…
First it was Sweez, now it’s Swowz…
I politely, normally don’t eat cows.

Having said that, while I pet my cat,
I’ve bitten in anyway.
Was like the day, the corn turned grey,
Was that by chance, in May?

!! Eleven elevens !! cried those sevens,
While being tossed into the pan!!!!
Who is the cook with spatula hand,
Who is the chef, and Who, this man?

. . . . .

Little salt my dear?
Little taste on the fix?
Was that May?
Or did you say May-trix?

. . . . .

With the morning JO,
He makes Sloppy MO!
How can I show him, to understand….?
My friend the chef, reads to the left,
So Who, is the spatula’s hand?

Psst…
They want a plan.
Four corners are on…
and the Dan said ‘when’.

. . . . .

Don’t assume, my cutest Jew,
That spelling is all for not.
My dog is a Rot, but a Rot she’s knot,
And the language She barks is new.
Did you want that clue?

Bye and bye, for now I must fly,
My belly has quite the mix.
Did he say JO, or was that MO?
I know, SHE said May-tricks.

. . . . .

Hey Jo…?
Little Do,
Rayed me,
but falls hope?
Know,... T.
La.tte...my Dear?
Satire is *****.
Hugs you love,
The morning calls,
From Above.
Xoxox

. . . . .

Makes note: keeping friendship.s.new, that's me and you.
~I'm such a muse.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

~wow and meow the Catz say, how,
!~! did he fix you, a sloppy JO?
Does he not know,
That you never show,
Your face, in the drive and go?
~except maybe four treats,
that have no feet...
Like the splits, and
the camels, pistachio...
~and why aren't cow,
a treat you say?
~they have square feet,
and it's knot my way.

Premium Member Saint Nick

Sloppy Santa spent his Christmas jolly
Until in folly he sat on holly
Yet Old Saint Nick laughed like a loon.
Bright eyes twinkling, his cap did doff
Watching a rich eggnog run off
With his dear sweet hot cross bun, soon
To a damp honeymoon spittoon.
Santa saw it, please do not scoff.

Sloppy Seconds

and the whole time that the big family meal had been going on
sister went to pass the bowl of Manwich, but brother, being the
vegetarian now (having changed so since leaving the nest to college)
shook his head slowly with food in his mouth (salted baby Yukon Golds) &
sister scanned the rest of the table when her cousin (the attractive lawyer who moved to LA) threw up her hand remarking that she’d like some, sister who never liked her
“hot” cousin who never passed up a moment to rub her success in the face of everyone, replied “oh, i didn’t know that you did sloppy seconds---“

Premium Member I like sloppy haphazard stuff

a lopsided asymmetrical haircut is the one for me
I want my bangs cut into fierce dagger points
straight across and even is boring and bland

I am an artist; I like messy, sloppy, haphazard stuff
these ways suit me fine
in my dress, my surroundings and my man.

Sloppy Seconds

wine, dine & sixty nine
 she was dressed to impress that night

 sporting long vicious hanging fangs that fright
 we came this far not to turn back now

 cooling at the bar then chilling in my car
 soup up body kit & a hot bod that wouldn't quit

 see back in the day I used to pray
 today in the hood it doesn't come out that way

 listening to old school tunes of Heavy D & the Boys
 Now That We Found Love

 today the heads are always looking for a fight
 like wrestling to the acid drop

 flip flops body drops & getting chased by the cops
 I'm still chrome in the zone flipping channels

 tied up with knots when there's a dozen of pots in my sink
 can't even think to dismiss this earthly bliss in a time well spent in thought

 I don't know why when you find yourself buried in the lonely ground
 still I play on this one string that I have been dealt

 like watching as the ice cream melts
 now sadness fills my eyes does this come at a big surprise

 She was once a virgin now many men have had here
 stretched forth her legs with a stench inside

 now she makes her living down at Tony's Bar & Grill
 with cheap thrills in the back of the room

 still when I'm inside she has no where to hide
 taking me on a fast rollercoaster ride

Premium Member Sloppy Hands

Sloppy hands writing blind,
they can’t see but they feel;
Tracing cursive letters
slowly onto your back,
art bleeds from go getters;

Sloppy hands writing blind,
beauty’s pulled from within;
Dreams in abstract phrases
grace the poet’s chapbook;
Bonfire of heart blazes;

Sloppy hands writing blind
free every primal thought;
Outside the lines and wild
aggressive comes alive;
Melting into self- styled;

Sloppy hands writing blind,
at times in a circle;
Emotions lead the way
but often don’t make sense;
Poet, let yourself play.

What version do you believe?
The story morphs with each phone ring;
Rumors are my biggest pet peeve;
Have you decided who the villain is yet?
Be skeptical of the intel you receive
it could have no basis in truth;
Misinformation is hard to conceive
desperate to trust what you’re hearing;
Sloppy mouths with dirt up their sleeve.
