Sleepy Soul
indigo has fallen
upon my lovely petunias
they are patiently waiting
because they do love the sun
quiet calm has fallen upon my heart
the gossamer winged angels
are patiently waiting to
astound me,surround me
guide me to dreamland
meanwhile the night and i
carry on like lovers
caught up in an endless dance
a fine romance...

The Sleepy Pianist
He'd practised all day with his Mummy
A tune for his Daddy's delight.
His soft little fingers were aching
From trying to get it just right.

He gave it his full concentration
Determined to master the tune
Expecting that his darling Daddy
Would be coming home very soon.

His Mummy had guided his...

    "A P.D. Sleepy Lullaby"

Star Light ... Star Bright ...
please send P.D. sweet sleep tonight
wish she may ... wish she might ...
close her eyes by candlelight.

Star Light ... Star Bright ...
cuddle P.D.'s head in pillow bright
wish she may ... wish she might...

Premium Member Sleepy Town
We were getting old, our minds still quite sound
Just one more move before we’re glory bound
We made the decision to look around
Decided we’d look for a sleepy town

It was harder than we thought it would be
To find just the place for Sara and me
We wanted...

Premium Member Winter's Sleepy Dreams
Icy winter storms swirl
within the clouded night,
wailing winds howl,
gales rage, and slushy sleet
freezes the ground.

Will the dawn turn red?

Chances you'll never know
as you're snuggled cosily
under thick downy quilts and covers,
dreaming the crystalline snows away.

You cuddle snugly up towards me
stealing my warmth away.
I feel such...

Premium Member Sleepy Delusion
Not quite awake, I drifted back to dreaming
as sleep would not give up fulfilling magic;
soon lifting me into a sense of twirling-
among bright flowers dancing in a meadow.
I quickly woke to see small snowflakes falling....

Wake up little “Sleepy head”
It’s time to rise and shine –
Get up out of that old bed
There are mountains yet to climb.

Put on your shoes and sweater
Take a walk amidst the trees –
Come listen to the sound of loons
Wafting in the breeze....

In our heads the season was far from over
so we played a game in late September.
He said, "before the sun sets
can we not take a rest?"
"But we already are, this is baseball remember?"...

The Sleepy Woods

The brook glideth shadowy and green,
White shimmering gown of soft petals;
Upon the cold bosom lay,
The lilies of the wooded valley.

No path doth go, no feet doth tread,
No breaketh the mossy silk of floor.
No wind shall howl its dreary moan,
But gentle it lingers over the haze.
And...

Sleepy time girl. She never gets her rest.
Sleepy time girl. She never does her best.
At anything!

Sleepy time girl. She's never on the ball.
Sleepy time girl. Her words! They're always
off the wall.

That little sleepy time girl.
Sleepy time girl.Sleepy time girl.
She's always late for school.
Sleepy time girl.
She never ever seems...

The satin blanket of night
With it's silky silence
Wrapping whispers around
My head

Tucking in my dreams
Clicking out the light
Of reality
To reveal the depth of desire

The soon to be forgotten future
Cosy with the pervasive past
In the twisted landscape
Of perception

Where unicorns dance
Where unseen monsters lurk
A place...

Reader
I feel your words upon me
As they race across the page.
A running sense of wonder
Even late upon this age.

The whisper flips of paper
As the pages burn and turn,
Setting me afire...
It seems I never learn.

The secrets whispered to me
As I pause and try to hear,
Are echo...
