~Chasing Bigfoot~
Across the Bayou Waters
Into vast trails of wilderness
I follow a sound, a sullen scent
---footprints
He was out there,
hairy large and in charge
Drugs under the beastly moonlight
Heavy torrents swept me in
Deep, down and dark
Under a hidden den
Between the moon and stars
I gaze into a world unknown
A comparison of salt water and bonnets
Lord of the forest deep
Entrapped in a romantic secret sonnet
Over the corner in every shadow
Red Auburn hair, above a 12 foot pair
Daring to face the lone gallows
In one peek
I observe it was not made by men
The fear became excitement
It offered a moment to think
I don't know if it wants to injure me
It sniffs me repeatedly,
Smearing my skin with his nose
This type of behavior, this smell
Began to arouse my rose
Rough nails grip around my neck
Forest flavored lips
Unravelling a taste unhuman
The touch erupts and fills me with fear
Still, I long to linger near
Sunrise starts with a grin
Revolving around the mood
Upon his long coat of shrooms
Without fear I stroke his thick fur
Rough and sweet I repeat
Living or dying, I stay
To love the fear-driven inside
Day after day
Deep and gray, life fades
Then becomes elusive
11 years the sun hides
Dark eyes, hold me all night
This wild man, by the bedside
Cries from the woods before sunset
I follow----
Somewhere behind hidden walls
The woods stand tall
Flowers welt from this burning love
My heart owned by the sasquatch
Though rapid dreams and streams,
I scream
Of Big Foot and I

While we sit with our coffee and poetry,
The Fear Frenzy Makers burn the midnight oil.
Digging up lies, just anything man!
To stuff up your brain like cement in a can.
They've succeeded in making you believe the
world is ending and...
That only chemicals sold by a fracture led
pharmacy nation
Will lead you to be a health sensation.
The Frenzys have determined God to be
extinct!
You can replace him with shrooms, ganja
hash or a drink?
Try Don Lemon at CNN, inhumane and so
vicious, the latest god on the street.
Worse, get your news from social media,
Driving the country nuts!
With our Congress making a new law
(I had to guffaw)!
That we don't need lawyers with integrity,
Just let mob rule take over this country.
(Oh,yes...and everything free)
The hatred of police is growing.
The rise of criminals is so revered and
spreading.
The body count of innocents is growing,
The murder of Jews is spreading.
Frenzy Feeders are nothing more Hitler
youth.
Spying and lying on Americans who
have done no harm.
Envy driven monsters...
It doesn't matter whose life they will
ruin.
We face a very formidable foe!
Big Brother is here- following you with
your cell phones everywhere.
Cameras on streets in dressing rooms.
As poets we can alert others to the
manure being peddled by fear smugglers.
Not all of us, but a few, may remind people
hard.
That God is in charge of when the world
ends not them.
Hate to tell these scientific brains, that
God created the world not them.
We cry over the extinct animals!!
But have not a thought nor remorse
to murder a baby.
66.000 babies were aborted alone last
year!
If we support murder, we have plenty
to fear.

Hear the clip-clop of iambic beats
Sounds like Shelley with a side of Keats
Is that the scritchity-scratch of a goose quill flickin’
Or just the tippity-tap of some mouse you clickin’..?
So you a prophet poet, regular Marley meets Dylan
Writin’ about oppression and unjust killin’
Shootin' the Sheriff with a Reggae song
Inspirin' your generation with a sing along
A shot of tequila with a wedge of lime
Saddle up and bide your time
Every line don’t need to rhyme
I can give you a million examples
You don't seem like the lyrical type
Kickin' cold turkey with oranges ripe
That's the fruit that rhymes with nothin’
Fresh squeezed it's good for somethin’
Citric flashback, Tang for the brain
Hyperspace wormholes one cannot explain
Sun dippin' below the rim of a rhymeless plateau
Cow skull and cactus, a timeless tableau
In the twilight gloom, a weather-beaten sign
Free Verse Ranch is the place to dine
Gorge on rhyme-free wordplay victuals
Linguistic linguini and cage-free visuals
Specialty of the house: lemon chicken couplet
With a side of mashed onomatopotatoes--plop!
Gravy sloppin’ down slopes like molten lava
Washed down with mugs of fresh-brewed java
Buzzards circlin' the sky in a lazy ellipse
Moon moseyin' in for a total eclipse
Flee in the dark, take a steed for a ride
Jump the split rail fence to the other side
Leap back in time to a buzzin' hive
Looks like the vortex, circa 1995
Can barely think amid the din
Perfect time for the ‘shrooms to kick in
Tie-dyed girl where I left her spinnin' in place
Band still playin' a trippy Drums n Space
But how strange that I cannot feel my face
How did twenty years vanish without a trace?
Tumbleweed twirlin' down the rutted street
Empty rocking chair swayin' skee-reet skee-reet
'Taters still steamin' like a mini-volcano
Room reeks of whiskey stronger than Drano
Spilled orange juice tricklin' a fly-food slurry
Someone cleared outta Free Verse Ranch in a helluva hurry
The clip-clop of iambic beats, Sheriff on my tail
He wouldn't shoot an unrhymed man, would he?
Jim-I-Nator,
chase creator,
imitates a song,
recreates a major,
sail's you to saviors,
reinvents the round,
reelects the tasers,
summons it in a bong...
Bites it right out
just like the Chong.
Waits in a mile-
just for the hump,
butts heads with the viral-
just like the slums,
does a downward spiral like a swivel,
dials 911 to spy on individuals,
random as hail in July,
hits like nails-
out on the lake in the sky-
just where I had wanted to die.
Like a Laker in a coat,
like a disastrous danger running wild and remote-
just like Ebeneezer Scrooge with a check book and the holy ghost,
just like Jesus on an electric motorcycle,
flying with angels-
jimin' with a bagel,
rotating at an angle,
fly's in the sky like a needle near the eye!
Random as hail in July!
Eats prunes,
and then pray's not to die!
Greets his shrooms with venom,
beats his moods with a pendulum,
hears through stethoscopes when he's endin' the run,
goes to the gym to have a little fun!
Waits for the time to stand still,
eats all the cops in between him and his pillz!
Says **** jail!
My ******** is a nail!
**** being out on bail!
I'll still be here until the killer is unveiled!
Fungi, fungus, funguses thousand fold,
eukaryotic life kingdom of yeast and mold.
Ancient legends and myths from many times,
beginnings and ends through mulching slimes.
Egyptians sensed the connection in fungi to gods,
only Pharaohs allowed to have them as foods.
Consuming the fungi to become immortal static,
Mushroom stones in Mesoamerica enigmatic.
The Rig Veda describes the juice of Soma,
considered as precious liquid of stardust and earth aroma.
Indispensable in all worships and ritual,
similar to Greek deities of cognate ambrosia.
Consumed in Shamanic sessions to contact spirits of the dead,
fortifying long hunting trips an dreams thread.
Penicillin antibiotics against bacterial infection,
surviving the war with needed invention.
Psilocybin and psilocin magic shrooms,
DMT, acid blotters magic truffles booms.
Alice in wonderland and the philosopher’s stone,
introspective hallucination and psychosis throne.
Natures secret language by mildews organisms,
earths everlasting fungi dew compost prism.
It only took me one cap and one stem,
For the Halloween feeling to kick right in.
I took to the night,
Like a ride in a bike.
Please do not quote me on this,
But I really had to piss.
And in my one piece clown costume—
My poor pecker was not free to pee I was doomed.
A lush, drinking like a fish,
Plus I am lazy as it gets...
So I cut myself a pee-pee hole and found mushroom's tip.
And I continued to party, fading deep into my trip.
I was so high and way passed drunk that—
I had completely forgotton about my junk—I was lit.
Somehow I left out my magic wand; my lizard;
Hanging out like honey i shrunk the kids or a tiny little sliver.
If it hadnt been for the shrooms, no way could have I remembered;
What's her name tapping me on the shoulder pointing downward at my member.
My package was on display.
Man meat, free for all to gaze.
It was limp as limp could be, as if I was part of a parade.
The cat's out of the bag now.
My poor kitty was so sad, wow!
And to this very day it is blister,
Hearing, Hey buddy! How's little mister?
And this is how my story goes.
My life really sucks but it never blows.
I even changed my name; moved all around.
But the joke of Halloween never fails,
It follows me and we are bound.
No escape can be round from every farm to every town.
I tried every last trick in the book and
Finally, I have found,
An enhanced new look.
And now they tell tall tails
Of how it hooks along the ground.
Although I still eat shooms every year on Halloween,
I take time too think about my costume, just in case have to pee.
The End...

Poem submitted for My Most Embarrassing Moment Contest
Eat shrooms til everythings pretty, pop molls til your caring and witty.
Smoke trees til your chill as the breeze, and drink to forget what you need.
Do all the trippys to think like the hippie, make sure your an expert and not be so picky.
Just let me know when your drug trip is over, so I can tell you how you are when your sober
I only said it, to make you smile back
You wouldn't say it back
I like to shy away from the world
To silence the thoughts
don't have to think about the camera girl
With soft locks
Just stick my head in a book, my masking mistook
I think I killed the atmosphere
It's okay, it wasn't so great in here
Some say my vocabulary is full blown
And some say I'm a misanthrope
Oh ho, you couldn't wait to say hi
Is she looking at us? just smile and wave
I don't know what she's saying
Does she want us to come over?
You do it, now say it
Oh you disappoint me
She's a party girl if I ever saw one
And I only saw one in my brother’s black room
Air always smelled like a Hippie reunion
And I'm pretty sure they were all doing shrooms
She's a Rhythmic, non-cynic, hygienic class act
She likes to speak like a debaucherous Nazz
I don't know what I want
But I know what I need is her
Stay right here
I'll get the girl
Can't sleep as I think of a song
I can't remember the words but it went bom bom bom bom
my wind, my world
Ah, Those dreams with my girl
Ever notice in the life of your dreams
You're never self-loathing, or nervous or mean
It's so fine
Good times
All sorts of lives
With her hand in mine
Time and time again, I'm on the far side of Earth
They say it's different as you get old
But I doubt I'll stop myself from looking too dumb
Where is that so called spirit you speak of?
"Oh stop, you silly boy.
I told you I like you as a friend.
Oh is this for me? Why thank you.
We're still just friends.
Oh my now you say you love me.
We were just friends a week ago.
You're too attached.
It's okay, we all get that way sometimes.
Here, let's go for a ride."
"See all the boys think of me as a temptress
Like I use guys and make them do my bidding.
But you'll find I'm just trying to be nice.
We can't all be lovey dovey.
What's a girl to do?"
Feeling sappy on my own
I know someday I'd make you turn
Well it's the classical pneumonic state you're in
I can’t believe this wild wicked sin
It's in your genes, it's in your blood
It's 90 degrees
Let's flood flood flood
Time to do it tonight
Muse 1 to Muse 2: "I wonder what it's like in the rabbit burrow"
Muse 2 replied: "Stand a little closer. I'll be happy to kick you in"
Muse 1 with trusting innocence: "Can I let you know tomorrow?"
Muse 2 just rolled her eyes, trying to conceal a Cheshire Cat grin
I warned in lines of, 'Go Ask Alice,' exactly what you'd find
down a rabbit hole. I said its depth would devour your soul
If you ignore this advice, your life will be cursedly confined
You can't break free of the warden's warren. He's in control
Another prisoner of addiction, like those in a California hotel
known as the house with a thousand mirrored-ceiling rooms
Sign in and you can never leave. You'll be captive of the spell
Ask Alice. She's trippin' in the woods, searching for shrooms
If you continue your journey down that dark desert highway
You'll be greeted with pink champagne when you first arrive
then taken down a dark maze inside. They'll invite you to stay
Kill the beast and you'll be released, if you want to survive
Lewis Carroll's tale is a fable; a dark satire written in allegory
"How long is forever, Rabbit?" asked Muse One, just for fun
Muse Two answered on the run, "Sometimes just one second."
It's profound that his words reveal the valid moral of the story -
You can't tell seconds from years, once the hare has beckoned
This was not written for any contest.
It's a follow-up to my 'Go Ask Alice.'
he was unaware
wolf
which was disappointing
never attempt to move or donkey punch
the empire state building
ten years of planning
ten years of shrooms
ended with puppets
and strings like cave cheese
and shreddies
we were alone in the pool
the lifeguard looked like
satan's gumdrop
layered like pie
and like a puppet on a string
junk socks and dutch rowboats
i told reception it was my first time at this pool
i was told i could use my token for the locker
i told reception again it was my first time at this pool
an overchlorinated swimming hole
Raised to believe she was beautiful and special
a look in the mirror reveals a ferocious beast,
with empty eyes and a sinister smile. Wicked
thoughts fill the head of the angel
in disguise whose eyes used to sparkle until she became addicted
to booze and her best friend Mary Jane. Origami
swans fill every nook and cranny. Origami
creations, folded neatly from paper, hold a special
meaning to the girl who is addicted
not only to Mary Jane, but heroin, that ferocious beast
that goes around stealing lives like the one of that angel
in disguise, turning even the most innocent people into wicked
monsters who care only about themselves. Wicked
hangovers don't stop her from making origami
swans because they take her back to the days she was an angel,
when her mom and dad loved her, told her she was special.
Now when they see her, they weep at the beast
she has become and long for the days before she was addicted
to Mary Jane, heroin, LSD. They wonder how she became addicted
to so many things when the little girl they raised didn't have a wicked
bone in her body. They wonder who the beast
is that wrecked their daughters life. Origami
swans, folded carefully, precisely, for someone special.
Every nook and cranny full, she fills bags full for her angel,
wanting to give the most amazing gift to her angel,
the gift of time. Time is all she has on her hands. Addicted
to shrooms, Mary Jane, booze, she knows she is nothing special,
she longs for the days before that wicked
man came along and taught her how to fold origami
swans while smoking weed, snorting coke, turning her into a beast
that nobody wants to be with. Now that she is a beast
she can't be with her daughter, her angel.
Her daughter loves swans. It is her daughters birthday. Origami
swans are all she folds, until her fingers bleed, addicted
to Mary Jane, she smokes herself to oblivion all because of the wicked
man who never made her feel special.
The wicked man who got that angel
addicted to Mary Jane, and taught her to make origami
swans was her boyfriend Bobby, the beast who never made her feel special.
I Turned My Back
A spirit casually approached, shat its parched load,
producing a small cloth it worked its hands furiously,
fashioning of clay and soot something to assuage a
deep yearning in its soul, something that looked,
as it looked to itself.
I turned my back to the left, my sight took in these images,
touched to my core this phenomenon pierced hot like a steel blade,
searing a scaring wound punctually within, permanently set.
I let out a scream, which carried back into the canyons and the recesses where smoke resides apart from fire, where water breaks into its separate molecules.
A world-like landscape emerges from a thinning air, dusty and rough in texture, sprouting forth smallish shrooms in iridescent hues, resembling footprints in snow they shimmer and vibrate.
The spirit and itself have moved in and around this landscape before,
leaving their footprints, their mark.
The immediacy of my experience continues to pierce impressionably,
I am now a marked man, my goal; adapt consciously.
Music is my high,
Soda is my drink.
Sugar is my ecstacy,
Laughter is my drunkeness.
Anime is my anti-drug,
Strobe lighting is my LSD.
Dreaming is my hallucinogen.
Imagination is as psychedelic as I can get.
Being with family is when I'm as relieved as I can get.
Happiness is as sober as I can get.
Masturbation is as stimulated as I can get.
Orgasming is when I am as relaxed as I can get.
Poetry is my coping mechanism,
Art is my creative outlet.
Writing is my addiction,
Reading is my inhalation.
Exercise is my steroid,
Food is my shrooms,
Cooking is my sniff.
Gaming is as tripped out as I can get.
Being with friends is when I'm as hyped as I can get.
Depression is as down as I can get.
Inner strength is as strong as I can be addicted.
Internet browsing is as stoned as I can get.
Dancing is my adrenaline,
Overtiredness is my hangover.
Cake mix is my acid,
Sparkling juice is my booze.
Soberity is my perspective,
Shopping is my drug-dealing.
Healthy as can be, drugs not for me.
Emotions run deep to the core
I've eaten so many shrooms they should be growing out of my pores
My mushie girl just wants to show me the secrets about the universe and more
Psilocybin just wants to get inside your soul and enlighten
Big Pharma wants you addicted to Fentanyl, Xanax, and Vicodin
Pharmaceutical companies just wanna ruin our lives again... and again.. and again
They don't want cures they just want you taking some kind of medication
This ensures there profitization
They are the root of the Meth and Opioid pandemic in this nation
Is it so crazy to believe in the power behind our plants
Is it so crazy to go on with these psychedelic rants
I think it's crazy that we all serve our government like little worker ants
For what? For our government to lie to us about every substance they fear
It's because they know the control they have is near
They know we are educated and we are going to prove these truths they covered up
They take tax money for marijuana and still incarcerate our family members
One day my footsteps will be remembered
As soon as corruption is finally dismembered
Blind sight in reflected face lye crumpets.
Taste-falling feet,crimson shrooms.
