A Girl

As light leaves us,
the truth is unveiled.
A girl lies with sorrows unscaled.
To wither and die,
without hope on her side.
She can no longer see a light,
to guide her through those forsaken nights.
She waits for a sign,
that all will come in line.
She is in pain,
with no one to help, all efforts sought in vain.
When will the girl see,
there are others like she.
Others share her pain,
others like me.
Her light once pierced through the shadows,
it was a beacon through the night.
Now it is only a dying flame,
leaving the world to darkness,
cowering in shame.
A girl lies dying in her pain.

Farewell To Her

I grieve a life that can't exist
for things that could not be
of cherished plans that upped and left
of a girl no longer me

I grieve my dreams that slumber on
that I can not wake from sleep
and as another does drift away
for it's emptiness I weep

I mourn the loss of who I was
of possibilities and more
and wave farewell to a life not had
as she walks out through the door

I sit and ache for what is not
for the girl that can't be me
of things that only might have been
for the she that can not be.

Through the Eyes of a Maniac

Her world is black. Dark,dismal,depressed.
She sees through the eyes of a maniac. Not a killer, but a twisted mess.
She is damaged. Torn apart at the very core of her soul. She is me, and I am her.

She desperately wants to end this charade. This bleak excuse for a life. That light at the end
of the tunnel seems to beckon her to come. But there is one single thing that keeps her
clinging to this existence. That keeps her from becoming a part of that light.

Her name is Avaya. An angelic little girl with hair like fire, eyes of the deepest blue skies ,and
a laugh that lights up the deepest, darkest places in her mind. She seems to be the very
breathe of life, the only life jacket in a sea of a hundred thousand miles.

The little girl is there with her once again and she is plunged into a different world. A world of
incredible beauty. Here she feels loved. Accepted! This is where she belongs. The little girl
will forever have her heart. Forever be her heart. "Mommy loves you baby! Please stay here
with me!"

But in an instant everything begins to fade. She can feel the little girl being ripped from her
arms. She desperately clings to her heart, but it is torn away from her, along with all the
great feelings that she thought would last forever.

Back in this maniacs mind, she sees the light. She must fight to keep herself from it. From
becoming one with the end of her existence. For she knows that her little angel will once
more come and save her from this life, if only for a second. So she shrinks into the darkness
and stares through the eyes of a maniac, waiting for her heart to return.

Lovin' a Damaged Girl

You say you'll be there til the end
You say you can forgive where I've been
But how much do you truly understand
A damaged girl needs a strong man

There are things that go on in one's mind
Certain memories one may never leave behind
Certain wounds that may never heal
At times I won't be able to tell you how I feel
Moments may come where I force myself not to run
Do you truly see the price I pay for damages done

I feel your gentle touch and see the love in your eyes
But the baggage I carry and the road I walk
How much do you truly realize

I love you within my soul and beyond my heart
I toss and turn missin' you every moment we spend apart.
I become a giddy little school girl knowin' you'll be home
Fall into your arms knowin that never again to I have to live in this world alone
But you must take the time to understand
Lovin' a damaged girl takes a strong man

Things Aren'T Always What They Seem

I’m so pissed
I’m so sad
Holding all this back
It’ll make me mad

This piece of paper
Is all I have to confide in
To get this life
I don’t know what I did

The pain hurts
And so I bleed
There’s no hope
And nothing to believe

I’m all alone
In this dark world
This sad cold
Depressed little girl

And who’d have guessed
That girl was me
Starting inside
I’m letting go of my dreams

How did life get this bad
With nothing but hurt and pain
Has it only started
Or has it always been this way

It’s hard to believe
It was all a lie
Just cheating and deceiving
Time after time

I’m dying on the inside
And bleeding on the out
You judge me
Though you don’t know what I’m about

The sorrow never stops
And tears never end
Pain is always there
I can’t look ahead

I hide the hurt
And painful secrets so well
Look me in the eyes
Can you honestly tell

I’m the girl you may want to be
But look a little closer
And then maybe you’ll see, it’s the truth
Things aren’t always what they seem

Peace At Last Was Not Found On Earth

I live my life wondering why I’m here
Trying to right the wrongs of the tormented
When the wrong has control
And no one gives a darn

I wander trying to make sense of a way of life
People trying to make the American Dream a reality
When the Dream is an illusion
For the Middle Class and the Poor

In the midst of all the world’s drama
A young man mourns for the loss of his brother
A little sister tries to hold on to the brother left behind
Only to lose him just like the first

First love, young love stops short of forever
A young girl devastated by the loss of innocents
A dad trying to help his little girl through it all
The loss of her mother now her lover

A best friend, a little sister, a girl friend, and a father traumatized
By a young man choosing to follow his bother into Sheol

* Denial Is So Easy

Mom, there is something I have to
tell you about dad, he comes in to my
room at night, we play this game'
it's just between 'us' he said then he
leaves and goes to bed.

I know you won't believe me but
it's true, please don't be mad at me,'
the girl said.
'You are a 'liar' her mom screamed now
get out of my face and get to bed.

Late, that night on the nightly news they
reported about 'a little girl who had been
killed from being beaten black and blue
by her parents, the girls mom was 'apalled'.

Her mom said 'how could any parent do that
to their own kid'!?
The girl sat confused, she had just told mom
about what her dad did and her mom called
her a 'liar' it's just 'denial is so easy'.

Angel To Beast

Raised to believe she was beautiful and special
a look in the mirror reveals a ferocious beast,
with empty eyes and a sinister smile. Wicked
thoughts fill the head of the angel
in disguise whose eyes used to sparkle until she became addicted
to booze and her best friend Mary Jane. Origami

swans fill every nook and cranny. Origami
creations, folded neatly from paper, hold a special
meaning to the girl who is addicted
not only to Mary Jane, but heroin, that ferocious beast
that goes around stealing lives like the one of that angel
in disguise, turning even the most innocent people into wicked

monsters who care only about themselves. Wicked
hangovers don't stop her from making origami
swans because they take her back to the days she was an angel,
when her mom and dad loved her, told her she was special.
Now when they see her, they weep at the beast
she has become and long for the days before she was addicted

to Mary Jane, heroin, LSD. They wonder how she became addicted
to so many things when the little girl they raised didn't have a wicked
bone in her body. They wonder who the beast
is that wrecked their daughters life. Origami
swans, folded carefully, precisely, for someone special.
Every nook and cranny full, she fills bags full for her angel,

wanting to give the most amazing gift to her angel,
the gift of time. Time is all she has on her hands. Addicted
to shrooms, Mary Jane, booze, she knows she is nothing special,
she longs for the days before that wicked
man came along and taught her how to fold origami
swans while smoking weed, snorting coke, turning her into a beast

that nobody wants to be with. Now that she is a beast
she can't be with her daughter, her angel.
Her daughter loves swans. It is her daughters birthday. Origami
swans are all she folds, until her fingers bleed, addicted
to Mary Jane, she smokes herself to oblivion all because of the wicked
man who never made her feel special.

The wicked man who got that angel
addicted to Mary Jane, and taught her to make origami
swans was her boyfriend Bobby, the beast who never made her feel special.

She Watches.

She watches as no one moves
She wonders where she is at
Taken by a man she has no clue of
She wonders if he will ever let her go
She wonders why he ever took her
She wonders where her family is

I wonder everyday when this girl will be found
I keep watching and hoping she will appear
I watch the family
Leaves are falling
So are tears
The sun is shining
When rain should be pouring down

What a sick man to take a young girl
With potentional to be someone
To make something out of her life
To be someone that other people would be jealous of
To have a family and make people proud
Because of this man

No one will ever know if she have this this
No one will ever know if she will be coming back home
No one ever wants to think that she will not be coming home
No one wanted to ever see this girl leave
This world is not what everyone expected

For you kayla I wish that you will be found
Be happy with your family

The Girl

I knew a girl once
She played the victim very well
Let you know how much her life sucked
How it's a living hell
I knew a girl once
She pushed all this guys buttons very well
Let him know how much pain she had
It made him feel not so swell
I knew a girl once
She blamed all her problems on life
Never once admitting
That she was the cause of her strife
I knew a girl once
She never grew up and chose to live in her fantasy world
The man in her life finally grew up
And the woman remained a little girl
I knew this girl
And maybe you do too
Just don't be conned into feeling sorry for her
For she has put this "pain" on herself and you

Angels Fall First

In a blink of an eye
The angel appears on the sky
I see the innocence in her face
While she tries to fly with grace

A broken wing under a devil skin
Her face is full of lust and sin
She can not reach the sky again
She sinned so much she will remain

She is so perfect for this world
But she will stay, she gave her word
Even the Heaven closed its door
And let the girl sleep on my floor

No more wings and no more grace
She is a human in a place
A place of beauty, joy and sorrow
The girl won't stay until tomorrow

The gates of Hell have opened wide
To get the girl that sinned with pride
There she will pay for what she gave
Beauty, joy, sorrow and all with ave

But will she ever meet again
The one that crossed her path, the man?
 Will she have the everything
Even though she has now nothing ?

 But the memories remain
And they bring her joy and pain
She fought the war and she has won
And now she bears her unborn son

The gates of Hell await the muse
She wants not but she must choose
The being that she will gave birth
Will mum or she return to Earth ?

A soul has fallen from the sky
Born in a family, but born to die
Which one is she, the she or mum?
I do not know but she will come!

Ghost On the Highway.

>>>>>>>>>A traveling sales man was driving home one night,
He was about six hours out of town.
A sign said ,there is a dinner just two miles up road,
So he had to use the washroom, and it would lighten up the load.

While i am stoped i might as well have a few before heading home.
He drank them down, paid his bill and left the diner on his own.
After driving for awhile, his eyes were getting hard to keep open.
His family was thinking he was on his way, or thats what they were hoping.

As he drove up a hill where it came to a bend in the road,
He hoped the car would make it there, for he carried a heavy load.
He pulled a cigerett from the pack and pushed the lighter in to heat,
As he pulled it out, it was hot and feel between his feet.

When he looked up again, there in the middle of the street,
Was a young girl waving her arms but could not move her feet.
He hit the brakes, tires were screaming, but he could not stop,
By the time he got to the side of the road, the tires were smoking hot.

He walked back to where the girl should be lying on the ground,
As he looked all around, she was no where to be found.
He looked up towards the heavens, theres a message here tonight,
Dont drink and drive, stay alive, help us keep up the fight.

Lazy Susan

She's the girl...
I left behind...
  The girl inside...
Who blew your mind...

  The girl without...
A care or thought...
  The girl who left...
With a broken heart...

  She's grown older...
He's grown cold...
  Their life together...
Remains untold...

  Their dreams and passions...
Exist in time...
  Forgotten feelings...
She longs to find...

  Extinguished fires...
From a lovers flame...
  With charcoaled ashes...
Now who's to blame...

  His love had scared her...
So she ran away...
  But, dying inside her...
Was a longing to stay...

  Love's what she wanted...
But, love doesn't last...
  Because love is a shadow...
That dwells in the past...

Invisible

Wipe away the make up,
The stain no one sees.
Don't fuss with pretty clothing,
Pains no one needs.

For you are invisible,
A girl for no eye,
Room full of people, but,
No need for disguise.

A heart full of feeling,
Love no one shares.
Stand just by doorways,
Know no one cares.

For you are invisible,
No face to recall.
A shadow in the corner,
Some one very small.

The man will not see you,
Watch him pass by.
The man will not love you,
Will not see you cry.

For you are invisible,
A girl no one knows,
Excluded always, but,
The pain never shows.

Another Sunny Day

another sunny day has come and will go away this is how my day began.sitting in the sun on
the front porch of "kathy's hair salon"basking in the sun and being chocked by the clouds of
cigerette smoke in the air.two young girls in a mustang looking cute talking o the phone
never realized it might be there last goodbye.im swamped my mosquitos and traffic all
around, never imagining the relity of that horrible crash sound.
bang crunch slam.spun around and flew into the ground people screaming all
around."someone call 911'.a man came running from out of the crowd screaming outloud
to the girl on the ground.he checked for her pulse as he watched her bleed gave her c.p.r
with air to feed.no help had arrived no one coming to help only god knows whats next in this
horrible mess.
she gasps for air but cannot move its obvious to all she lost control.no movement in her body
no voice from her mouth who is this little girl what happend to her world?exhaust fumes mixed
with gasoline is corroding the air still no sign of help is on the way there.to the man on the
scene he only wants to help but to others shes a black girl and really nothing else.
to end one life to spare one more as she lays helpless on the ground.
suddenly a siren from out of the crowd rushing to help but not allowed.the crowd begins to
throw bottles at the men on the scene,it becomes a factor that race is what they mean.little
girl lost in a white mans town, paralized and confined and wheelchair bound.finally they get to
help the girl but suddenly she realizes her friend might not be alive.
as they put this little girl in the ambulance she looks to her right and sees whats next.its her
frien in the crowd standing tall standing proud giving her the finger as she walks away.
