Heart Shaped Balloon

I gave you a balloon,
It held my life inside.

Within a shiny rubber tube
components of my soul aligned,
a sign,
I became something new
for you...

Memories
Feelings
Ideas

Each speck
a tickle upon my breath,
a tiny bubble
of nuanced personality;

The strengths of me debrided
the secrets of my lungs,
pink and untold
for you to confide,
ease trouble
in eyes before me.

Yet
were you astute?
Could your mind compute
the depth
of the beautiful find
floating before you?

You bent,
my unique particles ended
their show of strength
broken in length;

You twisted,
crushed and divided
my dreams subsided...

Molded to an unrecognizable form,
I became your norm.

Though you never knew,
my secret hope to survive
my own gift
thrive and lift,
lay within you.

Your grip thirsted control so long,
the pieces of me left burst
to skitter away in song
among soaring clouds,
leaving shrouds of pain
grounded and gone...

Flying far from the land
one beautiful day,
away
from you
and the broken balloon that laid
in your hand.

The Place That Shaped Me

I left my
  heart in
 a magical
  place. A
  place that
  holds years
 of wonder and
 awe. A place that
 knows me better
 than any other place
  I’ve been. This place
  has changed me and
     molded me into the
       person I am now.
     The forests, trees, creeks,
    and open skies instilled in
me a love for God’s works.
The harshness of the winters has
taught me to be patient and to endure. My small
town is where I  learned the  small-town work  ethic;
you don’t get what you don’t earn and earning what
you want takes a little bit of sweat and tears. Here
I learned that you don’t have to be blood to be
family. Brothers and sisters are made throughout
years of school together. We relied on each other to
be happy. This place will forever hold my heart and
soul. I am a small town girl through and through.
It’s who I will always be. Forever. Thanks IDAHO
for shaping me into something more than I was.

While the pale stars shine above
Entering a world beyond dreams

When beauty shines through peaceful harmony
Shadows dance where sweet music stands spellbound

A link of iron our love so strong
Bells inside distant echoes bouncing over oceanic waves

We shall never see the ghosts
Invading purest crystal light encircled

The words are written in white silver
Like a bolt of lightening striking clouds

On a journey of high waves in your hair
Pockets of air within skips kiss every strand

I feel dreams meet you in daylight halfway 's
Starlight across every wing holds strong

Heartbeats inside flames and rhythm will never die
Loving only valentines eternal, breathing sands of time

Everything will be wonderful, as long as you're near
Embraced in sparks destinies fate ever existing romance

The quest is holding on until finding earth,s smitten angel
My heart has found you breathtaking beautiful spirit we fly free

Shaped By the River

Silvery ripples and swirls of viridian currents
Moving through ancient gorges,
Molding and shaping solid shades of gray granite…
Soft and round,
Craggy and sharp,
Here and There…

Solid rock thrusting up
Shaped by shifting currents of the river
		Rising and falling,
		Rushing and fading,
		Over time.

Who knows where
The current will go next
Or what shape the rocks will take,
Over time.

Nevertheless
	The river and rocks remain,
	One, solid and steady,
	The other, fluid and ever-moving.

Sitting here
My heart longs to shed its burdens
To let them slide like a rock into the gently swirling water
And be carried away by the swiftly flowing current beneath the surface.

I want to know …
Can I remain solid and steady, yet fluid,
As the currents of change swirl
                Around me?

I want to know …
Can I be molded and reshaped
As the river of life courses
                Through me?

I want to know …
Can I be moved in new directions by love,
Harmonious and true to the voice of my heart
Echoing in the ancient gorge of my own soul?

The only answer that comes
Is the flow of my tears and
The sound of the river as it continues
To ripple and run around the rocks.

Maybe
             That
             Is enough,
             For now.

An exquisite scent of summer

Heart-Shaped Stones

Strewn beneath my shuffling feet,
they lie in peace at water’s edge—
polished stones of shape replete
atop and side by side they wedge.

Searching now and then I find
a sight so rare, my gaze transfixed.
Amid the coarse and unrefined
lies treasure in between and twixt.

A mermaid’s love lies nestled there,
brought ashore in dead of night.
Heart-shaped stones she placed with care—
a gift for us of truth and light.

A Heart Shaped Through Time

A heart has many shapes and forms...
Some are fragile glass because of storms...
One could be a dresser draw with no handle..
Another could be dark like a wick less candle..
You have some that are warm and bright...
Others might be locked up and ready for a fight..
Mine has some hidden cracks not seen by the eye..
It has been tested over the years for some that
have stopped by..
Hold your heart strong inside, know when to open it
you might be surprised by the ride...

Premium Member What Shaped My Life

Time and events chisel and shape our lives,
an unknown sculptor blue prints your life plan,
a knock here, a cut there, we think ‘not fair’
we journey along through ridges and lairs,
rewards flow in that we relish and cheer,
count our gains in terms of money we earn,
real reward is that we don’t understand,
the gift of wisdom that comes with failures,
the gift of forbearance that comes with grief,
the gift of love that comes with family,
the gift of happiness comes from sharing,
the gift of compassion helps us wipe tears!
from end of life we look back to admire,
the road map of our journey now much clear,
brothers, sisters with parents and teachers,
have guided my life to what it matters,
enemies who threw at me their arrows,
helped me strengthen to counter my sorrows,
every defeat made me that much smarter,
thanks to many foes for playing their part,
If my life had been happy and easy,
I would have ended up a useless slob!

Premium Member Heart-Shaped Clouds

Clouds playing around
In the sky tramping above the ground
Dangling in merry-go-round
Smiling at you year-round

One cloud zoomed outbound
Glittering ice flakes fall in mound
Flowers and trees have all found
Heart-shaped clouds in pieces on the mound

Crystals in diamonds plodded on the ground
Stayed and freezed like a heart spellbound
Prayers in hearts everywhere that astound
Heart-shaped clouds in you, dwell pound for pound

A God Shaped Attitude For a God Sized Assignment

What is your assignment? Why are you here?
Do you know your purpose and are you prepared?

Many of us are lost and in a state of confusion
We don't know our purpose and have come to no conclusions
We need to realize that it's our attitude and relationship with Christ
Which will determine our altitude and our aptitude in this life
To not concede during seasons of chaos and destruction
To believe that God has our back with a heavenly production
To comprehend that the Lord God answers to no one
As He is the Creator of everything under the sun
To fully understand that God makes the final choice
Amen, so be it He has the final voice

And it does not matter how complex or crazy is the task
Your assignment is to do whatever the Lord God asks
And you don't have the luxury to participate in the decision
For God's plans are designed with heavenly precision
He knows what you're capable of and what you can endure
And He will fully equip you to do your assignment and more
Just have the spirit of excellence when getting the task done
As it will separate you from those who always cut and run
For the beauty of excellence highlights the ugliness of complacency
And complacency is the trait that God had no desire to see

A God sized assignment requires that you do your best
And with a God shaped attitude you will ace the test
But first and foremost do a true self examination
To see if you're still able to handle the situation
To now think critically and take a second look around
To see if you're still operating with all cylinders on the ground
And if a God sized shift must be made
A new horizon in your life will be laid
And every aspect in you will be rearranged
So that you can bring about true change

Never forget that the depth of your God relationship in this life
Will be the foundation of how you worship Christ
Just don't get it twisted by misunderstanding your assignment and your role
You can't replace God for you ain't got that kind of power nor control
Just pray that the Lord God finds favor in you
And that His grace and mercy will come pouring through

A God sized assignment requires a God shaped attitude
Just be excellent when doing the task that for you God did choose

The Heart Shaped Highway

The story of two different highway drives
But it all amounts to a strive
The event is a Greyhound male bus Operator named Jeff
The Female Trucker being Jennifer
It was the California Highway 101
Just around the bend
Suddenly the bend came a when
The Female Trucker broke down on the side of the road
Then there was a behold, Greyhound Bus Operator Jeff pulled his bus right behind the Female Trucker’s trailer
Jeff approached Jennifer and asked, “Do you need some help?”
At first, Jennifer seemed skeptical that a Greyhound bus would stop on the side of the road to help somebody else in need
But the question became an answer in proceed
Now mine you, there were Greyhound bus passengers aboard, but the bus schedule was behind
Will this put Jeff in a bind?
Jennifer responded in an abrupt matter
But you will be surprised in what happened after
Jeff knew exactly what was wrong with the truck
After all, he once drove a truck before coming to Greyhound and was once a mechanic before that
In Jennifer’s mind, Jeff and the Greyhound bus having all the right tools
But Jen was no fool
Jen thanks and kissed Jeff on the cheek
The truck was fixed and ready in being complete
The Greyhound bus passenger’s all applauded, and stated, “Forget the Greyhound ride as we all just witnessed our own live movie love stride”
Jen then drove off onto highway 101
Jeff pulled off onto the highway informing the passengers that next stop will be Los Angeles, the final stop
The highway bringing maybe two hearts together
Yet it is a secret between the two
Now don’t look further into
This is not for us to pursue
As a finale, sometimes this is what love can do.

Premium Member Heart-Shaped Slipper

Million and one things better than applause..
okay to go through life ne'er seeking praise.
Though rain tree unwatered, grows half as tall,
an unloved heart wilts in overbear'n shade.

Your so called friends left such beauty undone.
chide more than console you 'can't win 'em all'
Well, perhaps not your day courageous one,
they meant to maim, not name belle of the ball.

Love's heart-shaped slipper, torch carried for you..
finest soul yours, only fit worth trying.
Turn away from bright stars, riven'd in two..
my eyes were ne'er any good at lying.

Can you hear it pretty belle of the ball?
a heart's applause, best won prize of them all.
