When Thor struck his hammer
upon the flat ground on Earth
it was the pieces withstood the blow we named rock,
constructs we came to know as the mountains.

Even before that time
I crossed my fingers
wished I'd one day experience
...you.

I knew you before heavenly purity grew wings
before angels blessed hearts
invoking what we now know as love for our brethren .

I held you in the sphere of my understanding
as the lover I'd never meet but always carry
in the most cherished of my thoughts.

When Zeus handed me his quill and inkwell I knew
I would only use his gift for my inspired notes to you.

Though I was not blessed a poets words
like Robert Browning
he who took Elizabeth Barrett into his heart from the first time he read her
so I did with you.

Only laid blood on parchment
to declare the love you inspired in me.

Like a schoolboy's first kiss
was the day my eyes embraced the body of your work.

Before the first pine broke the ground, the first lark sang,
the first orchards rare enchanted the rainforests.

Before the first chameleon blended
into the multicoloured break of dawn.

Before infinite rows of wheat invitingly waved from the fields to greet Hera.

Before liquid rose to separate into
creeks, swamps, rivers, lakes with fish of all kinds
wasn't it me who rode the first seahorse just to make you smile.

Anything, all...
possible
with the swirl of a letter
the turn of a word.

I found an immense love tracking the shores of your fine poetry
always a chill that ran up my back.

No one.

No one!

Only you.

Your fine talent,

gifted,

honed

perfected...flaws and all...

moulds

sculpts,

breathes life into ordinary words,

creates poetry

owns me.

Seduced

Today I find
yesterday's essence
still tarries within my mind

I try and wrap myself
in thoughts of you
to regain warmth
from November's wind

the trees
are less blushed than I
as they stand naked
from this weathered touch

I feel you
in a winded breath
like a tongued whisper
against bare flesh

the lake
mirrors my reflection
as I smile back
through its ripples
as if fingered
by the soft caress
of your hands

I can see the sun
paint passion's red
across the sky
I get lost in the depths
of you within mind
and climax
between the folds
of this day

Premium Member Seduced By Poseidon's Daughter

As rippling horizon
douses fiery orb,
you are at your
most alluring.

Ethereal,
diaphanous limbs
stretch out,
reach for me,
beckon to me.
Barely audible murmurs,
laced with
forbidden promises,
cross the distance
between us.

Whispers become
more insistent,
more urgent,
more pressing.
Begging, cajoling,
pleading, coercing,
demanding that I come to you,
that I give myself to you.

Eventually,
inevitably,
relentless appeasement
erodes my resolve.

Heedless of the warnings,
heedless of the risks,
I succumb completely,
totally and willingly,
without compunction,
without restraint.

Wrapped in your embrace,
rapt in your presence,
I submit to your whims.
So implacable,
indefatigable,
I'm utterly entranced.

You draw me down,
encourage me,
guide me,
bid me explore you.
Probing your inner sanctum,
I crave you,
love you,
know you.

Your scent,
your taste,
your sounds
fill my every sense.
I inhale you, imbibe you,
devour you, as you -
in turn - devour me.
Your very essence engulfs
every inch of my body.

Breath snatched from lungs
as passion escalates,
threatens to consume me,
promises to consume me.
I thrash atop you,
beneath you,
within you;
borne aloft
on waves of ecstasy.

And finally,
finally,
when I have
no more to give,
you cast me aside.

Giddy,
exhausted,
totally spent,
I roll over and watch,
helpless,
as you pull away.

Trembling
outstretched hands
cruelly snubbed.
Desperate pleas
callously spurned.

And then you're gone.

Our time together
was so brief,
so fleeting,
so transitory.
I'll never forget
our impassioned tryst,
but you won't even
remember my name.

Jealousy's venomous barb
pierces my chest
at the thought of
you with another.

I have no wish to share you,
yet I lay no claim to the
Daughter of Poseidon.
You belong to nobody...
...but...
...you do belong to everybody...

Bit of a departure for me... before you think I've gone all "Fifty Shades of Grey", the whole poem is metaphorical.

Seduced

The crime scene was Cobo Hall
where I attended the annual show;
minding my business, dressed in a suit,
flirtatious NOT at the car expo.

A beautiful orchid centerpiece
oozed pollen o’er table and chair,
while across from me a salesman sat,
an accomplis in the affair.
He distracted me from the temptress
as her rouge lathered my hand.
I tried to wipe it clean
but the mess did only expand.

That night I checked into Motel Six
where I noticed all were staring.
The bathroom mirror did solve the crime
and showed me I was wearing
orchid pollen on cheeks and brow,
orange streaks from the sick cabal,
for today I’d been seduced
by a fetching femme fatale.

Seduced is a mild term
For what some
Are trying to do
To all of us.

Materialism

Commercialism

Consumerism

Spend your money to save some

WTF

A wake up call is needed

Well here it is

What do you really need

To live.?.?.

Seduced By Fear

Rotten apples are desirable,
When one is starving,
After the frost has fallen
Bare trees tenderly seduce
But, when the sun begins to shine
Revealing all that’s bruised to the bone
Suddenly, one realizes
It was impossible to choose.

Sweet-Toothed, Treat Seduced

Most sweets their nectar pollen pollinates,
Preserving life before their sap gets sapped;
Yet amber's sweetest resin resonates,
Ambrosia's essence from death's lap gets lapped.
But you, my sweet, are most untimely soured,
Indulgent hungers feed with greedy gluts
On dulcet fares, you're from your prime devoured,
Consumed unsweetly through most seedy guts.
You're like a cloyed, discandied bubblegum,
A sweetened, syrup-sugared pixie dust;
Your cheer gets halved, they're more than double glum,
An eaten snack succumbed through tricksy lust.
Most sweets conserved from death live still distilled,
Yet those most sour that have their fill fulfilled.

Seduced, Or Not?

Dear Diary,
I had a dream last night.
A king was traveling across the land,
looking for true love.
He stopped at my house to rest.
I cooked up my finest meal,
I tried to make him comfortable
in my simple cottage home.
After we ate, we sat by lamp light,
telling ghost stories into the night.
As the light burned low, magic filled the room.
He took my hand and asked me to be his wife.
It was then I awoke, to the sound of a door closing.

Seduced

Rage! Rage! This angst, oozing from yawning deep,
Render to numbness, silent cornered weep,
Iniquitous decrees, when lulled to sleep,
Seduced by dybbuks, only vice to reap,
At impasse is reason in chaotic sneap,
Battle! Battle! Wrought courage to muster,
Nerves, sinews and pulse to not surrender,
Unto Death's embrace, believe, relive valour,
Cease the recreants who plunder honour,
Justitia unfold, raise sword, discard scales,
They excorcise a conjuring of wrongs -
Your wimp giants with their death-laden stales,
Who snatch, stuff, snuff, the hapless teeming throngs.

Bitter! Bitter! This death that lives in me,
Caged in dreaded mirrors, life dies in me,
‘Creep' - deep in my grey with seductive glee,
That heaven-flash, garden-lie, cursed harmony,
Sexed this soul, fervent red and sensory,
That ransom rush of crimson redemption,
Flesh sunk spirits misrender the Passion,
To quell the knell of that culmination,
Scrolls, religiosity and rendition,
For power, for heat, in false absolution,
And this death-row of bliss to deathless role,
Into eternal licking tongues since old,
All and I heedless to that Sword and scold,
Then brazen doors to pleas of curse served soul.

Seduced, I Fold the Known

Seduced, I Fold the Known;
Showering the bleeding moments
To allow the Soul to dance
Delighted
Devoured
carefully caressed
to uphold the unfolding Unknown

To notice a moment of such a wonder,
sometimes passed in silence
where ghost-like bodies melt into skin;
footprints are evident to Existence,
shadow-filled heartbeats pound Times into Lifetimes
for a split Forever shared

It's dreamlike and lust filled
when worlds are weaved into a star-like parlor;
Breathing Heaven empty of Angels,
Licking words upon peeling skin,
voicing the resonance of Sound,
[moans and sounding breaths]
unto the dripping Void

I'm Unfolding
between being alive and living;
To Fold the Known
and reach further still

Limitless

Seduced By the Subtil Sound

Seduced by the $ubtil $ound

Put your elephant ear to the ground,
and listen pachyderm carefully
Do you hear the err stampede sound ...
stimulus assisted thievery deed

There’s been a clandestine meeting
at the Guv’s backroom, ivory Oval table
Secret society plans
got discussed after a pirate greeting:

“Jingle jingo, ho!
Mingle that death germ, yo!
Coughing coffins don’t pass Go!
Collect the money subtilly stole!

The Dons of the gobbling globe
are putting trillion$ into their one-arm bandit $lot
There ain’t no oversight probe
to see who’s double dipping into the taxpayer’s pot

Can you hear that ‘coined phrase’ sound —
Telling hope po’ citizens
richer prosperity will be ‘trick-ling down’

Blind mice hearts are getting seduced
by the cobra charmer’s horn
Boa induced purse needs
are a-putting the squeeze
on that agreed deficit-spending truce

A plundering tone in major D
got seismic depression paltry
of pockets picked empty ~ Quaking thought waves
cratering poverty, fearfully coming virally

Pilfering lobbyist moans
got an executive order of grift execution
to do silent heist carry on

Now, can your tusk ail mind
hear the hog murmuring under the ground?
The day of spoils ill-gotten b’ruptcy abound,
G-mob thieves of every kind

There’s a seductive drone
whistling past the pyramid scheme graveyard
of your no bank account savings a-dying hard —
So a-cyber long dead gone

Don’t dare ear tarry in the impoverished dirt,
which burial groan (from dis mo’ wallet hurt)
$afari pocket poacher$
know where to find those
po’ ivory-rich bones

Can you hear that ‘chiseling chuckle’ sound —
Telling those graveheart citizens
revival e-con-omy lie on pickpocket ground

Seduced By the Sea

We played by the sea, come swim with me

you shouted, I was frightful so very doubtful,

she looked happy free, splashing, full of glee

sun shining, water mistrustful though delightful,

where are you, not sure, I’m planted on seashore

panic filled my being, your beauty I’m not seeing

lack of courage I deplore, your safety can’t ignore

my heart is racing, find myself in water swimming,

it’s certainly apparent, I’m taken by your strong current

I find myself lifelessly spinning, constantly turning

consciously it’s self evident I’ve become your servant,

mocking with your waves, enticed into watery graves

seduced now at your mercy, you show no courtesy

your power totally enslaves, my body now craves

life not controversy, though you’ll end my life early,

I see your psychopathic smile, I submitted to your lie

so now within your heartless merciless beauty I die.

Seduced

I find myself at a new place in my life,
where the terra firma of my safe, and
known existence, has become a shoreline.
I stand, poised, at the water's edge, its
small, rippling waves, caressing my toes,
beckoning me to enter farther.  The
strangeness, and beauty, of this new
place, has had me mesmerized. The
wonder of discovery, is like the excitement
of new love, blinding in its beauty, its very
newness.  So ,it isn't any surprise, that I
have thrown myself in, completely, into the
deep, shimmering, moonlit waters, and
have immersed myself completely, like a
woman with her lovers touch.
But, now, the spell is starting to ease its
grip. Now, the doubts and fears, start to
creep into my thoughts. Have I been
foolishly blind? Will I find, that the water is
deeper, the currents hidden beneath the
surface stronger, than my ability to swim?
Will this new lover, suddenly take off the
mask of gentleness and love, to expose
the true monster that was hidden behind?
Aw, cruel doubt! So poisonous, and
insidious! And I am so easily swayed by
your venomous whispers! I have, long ago,
lost the brash over confidence of youth,
and now wish fervently, to have some of it
back again. But, wasting myself on
wishing back the past does nothing, but
build the fears, and doubts stronger. If I
panic, I could drown!
