Premium Member Jeweled Wonders To Behold

Atop a walnut table with ebonised legs
Sat a Victorian brooch, white and red.
She wore diamonds and rubies brilliant and bright,
That sparkled within all sources of light.
Bejeweled little butterfly trimmed in gold,
A wonder you are for the eye to behold.
"Am I not beautiful?" inquired the dragonfly,
from its perch on an occasional table nearby.
Dressed in diamonds, rubies, and mounted on gold,
With enameled wing and tail, a dazzling bouton pearl...
It too was a wonder for the eye to behold.
"What about me!" shouted a diamond pendant watch.
"And me!" shouted a brooch with a white paste heart.
"What about me?" inquired a flower, art nouveau...
"Enough! shouted a disgruntled Cameo,
dressed in pearls, diamonds, rubies, and gold.
"We all are wonders to behold!"

Premium Member Karmic Rubies

I lured a fragile daisy into my palm.
She thought it was safe, a place of calm.
Slowly I squeezed until it bled,
until there was nothing left
but the stain of Karmic dread.

Next came a wild rose, attracted by my dying scent.
The more I squeezed (it) the more I bled.
I shook my hand, but it stubbornly stayed.
Laughing as I twirled, bleeding down the drain.

Then came a blizzard of brambles.
Careening down from black moon mountain.
Pocking every cell of silver sanity.
Until my wings no longer breathed.

So today I waltz alone, approaching the end.
A fifty-six-leaf clover of hard-earned regrets.

Then entered this mighty viper.
Casually kissing a string of karmic rubies
around this selfish iron neck.

Rubies

Rubies are beautiful stones of red hue.
Structure is crystal hexagonal view.
Hardness of rubies is nine that is true.

Jewel that's deep blood red, I lack defense.
You stir emotions that I sense immense.
Loving this colored gem, my heart's intense.

Honoring years of ones wedded estate.
Symbol of lasting devotion to mate.
Keeping our morals all polished and straight.

July's corundum rock shows us birth's day.
Many think rubies have mystical sway.
They can help you in a healing good way.

Roses, Rubies, and Strawberries

Mi fantasma dulce

Send me a rose
This Valentine's Day
A single red

Reminds me of
The crimson light
We shared

Years ago

Mi fantasma dulce

Send me a ruby
This Valentine's Day
A single red

Reminds me of
The sparkling passion
We shared

Years ago

Mi fantasma dulce

Send me a strawberry
This Valentine's Day
A single red

Reminds me of
The earthen treats
We shared

Years ago

Mi fantasma dulce

Where did all those red years go?

Of

Roses
Rubies
And
Strawberries

Porque

Es día de San Valentín

 Y tú no estás

Premium Member Rubies That Fit the Queen 'To a T'

I spent my day shopping for rubies
Can you picture a grown man doing that
But I was assigned to a very special mission
To decorate the new Queen of England's hat

What happened to Elizabeth II, you gasp
Oh, she decided to abdicate now that Meghan
Markle has lost much of her luster and sparkle
Since the news leak 'bout her and Patty Reagan

What? Patty Reagan! The -- ahem -- alternative kind
Of lover for Ms. Meghan? Why, that's truly alarming
Especially for Prince Harry (The guy must be blind)
He can't find this development too charming...

But, O! About those rubies I was shopping for --
I was trying to find some color other than red
Yet hot pink was the lone shade in the bloody spread
O, dread. Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed

So, I finally settled on these rave ultra-cheapies
Not to snicker: I just picked 'em from Rookery's 'ruby-tree'
And don't you worry. They'll suit the new Queen 'to a T'
You know who it is -- It's Ms. Daniels, Stormy

Rubies In a Bird

A campaign for a bloody jewel!
The gold is in mine insides. Dig through if the greed
So eats you, so seduces you.

Do not fear me for risk of dirty hands;
If you are afraid of the conspicuous coal-scuffs that would be,
here are gloves.
I pieced them over months of lambs I loved.
The ultimate communion in honor of all-others.

It so bothers the wolves, to be silent -
They prefer a singing prey which will narrate its own death
As a loving manuscript, a classic opera!
And the fall of a wailing Athena, to please the
Witch-burning crowds, chewing their cinnamon

But, I never have screamed. My chords a botched surgery
To fix the brain which resides in a concrete block, to chisel out
A fossil that has ever only frustrated.

I flee to some yolk-soaked desert that coats me like crumbs
As I tumble, run, purposed to be devoured by bronze brazen waves
With faces, they.
I am some sought treasure,
A wedding ring plucked from a pheasant's wing
And set aside in a pearled bowl while the bird is consumed
As Sunday's supper.
A life a-chase, a slack-handed clock's base.
It is to be a pigeon stuffed to brim
With aging jade.

Premium Member Rubies For Her

I spent my day shopping for rubies
I was on tenterhooks to make a choice
Rubies displayed on shelves glittered
And seeing the price tags I lost my voice!

Rubies' purity measured in carats
Their colors linked to zodiac sign
It was not easy job to choose one
With so many variations, I pined.

Seeing me grim, girl on counter smiled
"May I help you", she calmed me down
Given my budget, zodiac sign of my love
She helped me zero on to a Ruby crown.

Thanking her profusely, I left the gem store
A full day had been spent to buy this Ruby
Gleefully, my love accepted my day's labor
Hugged me like a scooby dooby do booby.

I let go of shopping pains, felt great
A candle light dinner in down town
As a return gift, I will cherish it forever
I am now more confident shopping a crown.

Rubies

I spent my day shopping for rubies
   a flawless, untarnished gem
that would remind me of you, truly
a recovered memory for now from then.

Your ring sits lonely in the old music box
I see it there when I play your favorite tune
and the thought of you is kept safe under locks
holding the magical reflective melody of Claire de Lune.

New rubies, brilliant stones, glowing, uncut ready to buy
   translucent reds, hypnotic mesmerizing translucence
a vibrant indescribable beauty too often makes me cry
in your smile reminiscent ruby red, calls me to impuissance.

I spent my day shopping for rubies
alas, the ancient memories can no longer permit
the capture of the gem and all its beauties
cannot erase the emptiness each one transmits.

Rubies With a Slice of Diamonds

I’m running

around the world

at not quite the

speed of light

but at the speed

of night running

at the rate that

the world spins

it’s always dark

and oddly lit and

the day never

begins or the

future that I need

or tomorrow

I’m running

around the world

at the speed of the

future that I need

I see the stars

turn ruby red

they shine down

through a window

pane like a slice

of lemon instead

of reflecting ruby

red the day is

nipping at my heels

with tomorrow

I’m running

around the world

like a shadow

racing with the sun

I feel compelled to

run because

no matter

how far I run

I can't find my

way home

My Faceted Rubies

I spent my day shopping for rubies.
It's an indulgence - you see.
I always choose the most faceted ones
and take them home with me.

I fashion them into beautiful jewelry
and by early the next day,
I've need to shop and purchase more
for I give all my trinkets away.

When the clerk sees me approaching,
he displays trays of crimson stones,
then says with a sly twinkle in his eyes,
"Nice to see you again, Ms. Jones."

Today, I chose two with radiant sparkle
and held one next to each ear.
He flattered me so I'd buy the baubles,
"They are exquisite on you, my dear."

He needn't have bothered with cajolery.
I bought those rubies and more.
He boxed them for me, smiled and said,
"Ta ta," when I walked out the door.

I thought he was impertinent and snide.
and will not deal with one so rude.
Tomorrow I will find a new ruby broker;
who has a more courteous attitude.

I spent my day shopping for rubies,
radiant in quality and clarity.
I will continue to browse, searching
for those I consider a rarity.

Premium Member Precious Rubies

Expensive as expressed by the precious Scriptures
Explaining divine wisdom’s invaluable cost
Exclaiming virtuous woman’s priceless host…
…Exquisite rubies* own gems’ distinct blest features.

Excellently created through Providence might
Extremely durable against rigorous tests…
…Exceptional rubies empower man's faith-bests
Exposing the supreme Designer’s vibrant light.

* Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Premium Member Red Rubies On a Stem

The color for me is red, just like the beautiful red rubies. Red looks best on me, the color keeps me from being moody.

I never wore lipstick color like red rubies, I did not want to look old. A pretty pink is for the young, this is what I was told.

I bought a gift just for me, it was a real gem. a flower pin in the box, with roses of red rubies on a stem.

I wear my pink lipstick all the time, I want to stay looking young. My special gift of red rubies I wear, I love you red rubies is on my tongue.

Where Are Your Rubies

Where are Your Rubies?

Win with your cherubim vodka, and defy all,
Seek the conversations within the smokes,
Predicate glossy lips for romance and ball,
Out with serviant regulation’s fix it jokes.

Coin the dignity and fight the right, nimbly,
Fret a glance to shelve matrix B as red,
Periscope expectation as denounced simply,
For infinite returns bevelling the written said.

Where the vehicle, what the production?
The lit removes its ignited mechanism,
To beam the joules within the friction,
Between shaves of mountainous schism.

Premium Member Rubies In the Weeds

Hello Hope, haven't kissed you for quite some time.
Life slapped veils of blackness over my sunny side.
Remember when forever donned diadem of dream.
Rubies tap dancing in maelstroms of witches weed.

You were always there - most loyal of them all.
Lifting spirits onto crystal clouds after my greatest fall.
Even when my venom deflowered your pristine heart.
You never left my hobbled being to bleed out in the dark.
To honor you, in every maze, I've bound minotaur with chains.
Upon the parched face of Oz- you were dew drop atop emerald plains.
