Red Rubies On a Stem

The color for me is red,                                                                                      just like the beautiful red rubies.                                                                        Red looks best on me,                                                                                        the color keeps me from being moody. 

   
I never wore lipstick color like red rubies,                                                               I did not want to look old.                                                                                        A pretty pink is for the young,                                                                             this is what I was told.

 
I bought a gift just for me,                                                                                       it was a real gem.                                                                                              a flower pin in the box,                                                                                       with roses of red rubies on a stem.

 
I wear my pink lipstick all the time,                                                                          I want to stay looking young.                                                                              My special gift of red rubies I wear,                                                                        I love you red rubies is on my tongue.
