Ghost Guitar
I think of you and play you, any time of day
You understand my needs, understand what I must say
You’ve always been so close to me, been a cherished friend
You’ve always been there for me, and will be till the end
You know my moods so very well, you know when I am blue
You pluck a tune from out the air and make me play with you
Then we will strum a rock song or a golden oldie tune
Then I know it won’t be long, till I’m lifted out of gloom
Ghost guitar in my hands
I know that people laugh, when they see me tug your strings
But they don’t know the happiness that our duetting brings
You take me off to places where the memory lays sublime
We travel through the years, back and forth in time
And when my baby’s far away and I’m left all alone
It’s you I cradle in my arms and know my songs are blown
By the winds of love, across the earth, the mighty sea
Knowing she will hear them, and hurry home to me
Ghost guitar in my hands

My favorite verse from THE soft rock song of my youth
Hit song of 1969 by the Carpenters:
(They Long To Be) Close To You
(middle stanza of the song)
"On the day that you were born
the angels got together and decided
to create a dream come true
so they sprinkled moon dust in your hair
of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue."
Dream Boy
To fall for him I needed just one look
and after that, he had me on his hook -
a fact which I’m not sure he even knew!
Dream boy with hair of gold and eyes of blue.
I lived for those church dances in his town.
I’d see him there but always feel let down.
Girls followed him around. What could I do?
Dream boy with hair of gold and eyes of blue.
Not being in his orbit or his school,
I longed for him and simply played the fool.
The fantasy for me would not come true!
Dream boy with hair of gold and eyes of blue.
Dedicated to Chris Frogley, wherever now he may be.

Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.
When the Moonlight would rise
The sleeping waves of Sea
And your sweet arms would be
Encircling me close to thee.
Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In Summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.
I know why you watch
The Sea waves rising to kiss
When the Moon began to pour
Its love drops on the Sea.
Watching the joy of Sea waves
You always come in mood
And then like the rainy clouds
You shower your love on me.
Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.
O’ Darling I am waiting
For the Summer days to come
As in summer days you shower
Your rain like love on me.
Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we would be
Singing our love songs.

Once in a blue moon I have been told
The cliché’s clan gets together with the Catch Phrase posy
If I have told you once I have told you a thousand times this story or are you the last one to know?
Well, it all started for no rhyme or reason but you could see the writing on the wall.
Rat Race and horsing around would be in charge of the children’s activities for the day.
While crazy as a loon and Wacky Tobacky would take care of the entertainment.
Ice Queen would be the bartender for the night and Wall Flower would play the music.
Requests were already pouring in from the peanut gallery.
Young whipper Snapper like to hear a country song called one step forward and two steps back
And Jonny come lately wanted to hear a rock song called Chip off the old block.
Class clown always wanting to be the center of attention got drunk and started dancing
On the picnic tables.
Simon Says and Mother May I where there to tell everyone what to do and where to sit.
This would be a catered event so One sandwich short of a picnic was hired to feed this Motley crew.
On the menu was Fish out of Water served with two peas in a pod and for dessert The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree Al- a- mode.
Everybody was having a great time until the trouble makers showed up.
One for the road and Three sheets to the wind where known for starting drunken brawls.
The worst thing was they brought their 3 grown sons Hammered, sloshed and pickled.
If I only knew then what I know now left early. She had a feeling there would be trouble.
Penny for your thoughts would be collecting the raffle ticket money and No time like the present would be handing out the prizes.
Liar Liar Pants on fire and Cry me a river were sore losers and always made a scene if they lost.
It will be a cold day in hell didn’t want to go so he sent his wife Heaven to Betsy.
Too much of a good thing got sick and ended up taking the bus# Catch22 home.
Well, nothing lasts forever was the last song of the night and Turn out the lights the party’s over security guard company showed everyone the door.
The end.
SO UNCONSTITUTIONAL
They're all just out here rolling
And they're burning again.
We got their heat higher than it's ever been.
Cause we're so unconstitutional.
We're just so unconstitutional.
O say! Can you see
In the dawn's early light?
What so proudly we've hid in the dark of the night?
That we're so unconstitutional!
We're so unconstitutional!
We're just so unconstitutional!
We got 'em rolling.
We got 'em burning.
We got their heat on high.
They'll keep on loving.
They'll keep on breathing.
We'll keep their heat on high.
Cause we're so unconstitutional!
We're just so unconstitutional.
It's all unconstitutional!

lYRIC TO A new rock song, that just simply wrote itself. I could not, not write this song. Ron Wilson akd Ron Arbuthnot
Sent down from Heaven, their jobs are sure tough
But they don’t fly away when the going gets rough
They rise to the challenge to bring back wonder and hope
Failure does not happen in their line of work
Cuz’ Angels, no Angels, they don’t sing the blues
Angels sing strong from the high mountain tops
Sometimes it’s a rock song to wake spirits up
Sometimes it’s a ballad when babies must sleep
Or a love song in country that just makes you weep
But Angels, no Angels, don’t sing the blues
They work behind the scenes to enlighten world faith
Always there when you need’em, our Heavenly base
They make house calls to heal another broken heart
Gatekeepers to the soul, they lighten the dark
The sky is the limit as only Angels can know
When times are a troubling, their first on the scene
Not afraid to help out or even dirty their wings
The tune that they dance to, comes from Heaven above
Giving rhythm and gospel to everyone they love
Cuz’ Angels, no Angels, they don’t sing the blues
And you know Angels can’t read music,
but they sure wing it well
As they learn from the Almighty,
Who swings with, the heartbeat of humanity,
From Heavens high hill
Angels sing strong from the high mountain tops
Sometimes it’s a rock song to wake spirits up
Sometimes it’s a ballad when babies must sleep
Or a love song in country that just makes you weep
But Angels, no Angels, don’t sing the blues
They just don’t sing the blues
No, Angels don’t sing the blues
Angels don’t sing the blues
The Musician
I need a singer, to sing me a song;
Anytime of the day, I will need her love.
I need her beauty, to shine as she sings;
Or I need to hear her scream in sympathy.
My eternal sunshine, you look divine,
Beneath the light that shines, to show me your smile.
My love is yours to behold, my life.
I allow you to see through me; to see inside.
To see what is real;
Like the pain I feel without you near.
I wish this heart would pick a new career;
Because it is useless at love; it’s like me - a loser.
All I ask for, is you to sing a song I choose;
A rock song, a reggae number,
An indy tune, rap, comedy or something other;
Like a poem I wrote, after having a smoke.
My poetry has rhythm, so any poem could become a song…almost.
But if you find a song of mine you like;
Take it within your soul, for the rest of your life.
For I shall always write another,
For it is my hobby, my job, my love, my career.
So I pray you hear the words I speak;
For one day I could write the words for you to sing.
If you understand me,
Then be with me.
Read all my poetry and songs…
If you want to know the real me.

Adrenaline Rush
This drug that surges through
my veins and floods my brain each day.
Giving my brain just the jolt it needs
in all the right ways!
This electric stimulation is organic.
Nothing bought on the street
or over the counter would ever compare
to the sparking flares this natural
drug delivers to me.
I find my fix through
various avenues and pathways
of my life, any way that will deliver
this potent rush to me quickly.
While speeding down the highway,
weaving in and out of cars with
the radio blasting my favorite rock song.
The "endorphin fix" my body delivers
while running across a ten mile run.
A really scary movie, or roller coast will
do in a pinch!
The intense buzz
I feel the moment
I take my first step
off the highest bridge
I can find with a bungee
rope attached to my waist.
The exhilarating feeling of delivering
a public speech in front of a crowded room.
The bells and whistles
that sound off in my body as I ski
down the steepest black diamond path.
That fleeting feeling as the blade
of my skate digs into the ice and
I project into a triple axel-spin
in the brisk air.
It’s this rush that I enjoy
running to every day
in my own way,
my adrenaline rush.
I’m so addicted to you!
I love to rap and tap most times ,
My wrist ,I can twist with real ease ,
Even though I’m not in my prime ,
My femurs and knees slide like grease ,
Hip for hip-pop dance and axis
for break dance which pivots the neck,
Enabling girdles to assist,
Failure can lead to serious wreck ,
But blues is safe with little pulls ,
Making you close to your dear one,
Backache is close where rock song rules,
Ballroom or ballet is full of fun ,
Wasteless waist is more used than tarsals ,
And restless chest more than carpals .
Parts of body used are :Wrist ,femurs ,Hip ,neck ,waist ,knees , etc.

They thought he might be a queen
Bohemian, yes but not dumb
If he wore pink, Floyd didn't care
Claiming to be comfortably numb
He loved being high as the eagles
In a hotel, California style
When locked out, though he'd turn purple
Haze checked, he'd Jimi it in style
He once asked Lynyrd for chicken
Who said, "There's no free bird here!"
He said start me up some, I'll pay
His eyes rolling stones, with no fear!
Sometimes he'd come back in black shorts
With the AC turned all the way down
And he'd carry on, my wayward son
Still the pride of this Kansas town!
Though his boat burned a deep purple
The smoke on the water would fade
Killed by a falling Led Zeppelin
His Stairway to heaven was laid!
He thought he was a poet
but turned out to be a lyricist
He didn't even know it
Until his words were on the hit list
He wrote sonnets a-plenty
Rhyme and meter sublime
They made songs of almost twenty
Without paying him a dime!
He woke up to it all too late
He dozed too long, too ignorant
But such is the blind fool’s fate
If of worldly ways indifferent
“how I missed my ultimate calling!”
he wailed and cried and sobbed
as he heard his words on beats a-falling
Of honor and credit robbed
The producers made a killing
The poet died in debt
But the words stayed alive and thrilling
On vinyl’s preciously kept
In the end the poet was rewarded
By life’s eternal song
And posthumously awarded
Credit that tried to right the wrong
But far above the earthly sky
Looking down upon the thieves
No tears were there to cry
As he sat under Abraham’s eaves
Seeing the producers one by one
Shedding their fleshy pants and top
To be wrapped in burning flames and sun
Wailing and crying for a single drop
As the darkness reaching out for the darkness,
her black scalpel eyes met mine across
the crushing divide of a revelling throng.
The amateur axe band strangled a bargain basement
hard rock song, born of a talent cremated at birth,
deservedly consigned to ashen oblivion.
Her prurient, feral crimson gown bore precipitous
neckline plunging down, stopping some small distance
short of her succulent, perfect navel
I imagine.
As if the marble finger of an ancient god of dreams had
stabbed the "mute" on some cosmic remote control,
the squeals and howls of wolverine party animals, the blackboard
screech of lousy rock and roll, cut abruptly out of frame.
Silence kissed my eardrums with lips like sudden death,
I hardly drew a solitary breath, only stared, locked upon the
twin abyss' of her black hole pupils, ebony irises,
feeling myself magnetically reeled and reeling in.
Electrical conductivity skittered epileptically about my palpitating heart;
a faulty blue laser skipping and sliding upon a scratched cigarette-burned CD.
Damned screaming skulls and "Auld Lang Syne" despotism
jump-started this momentary glitch in time's fabric.
Harsh trespass of cacophony, acute and violent,
aural assault and battery exploded on this reverie.
And in a sea of human chains, a soup of sweating limbs and torsos,
of shattered silence,
she was gone.
As arcane ditties were ritually slaughtered on a Stratocaster,
my flesh turned the dying colour and texture of sickly alabaster.
I was drunk, weeping, mourning, insane,
aware I would never see her again.
The night solidified, a fortress of granite, folding batwing walls,
shutting me out of it's embrace; alone in a darker place;
spelling it out in starkest script: I would never taste her flesh, kiss
her lips or touch her face.
I wondered if she felt the same loss, the grief, hollow desolation,
writhing, burning, cruelly denied, in Hell; bludgeoned by the
ironic, knowing
the highways we walk upon this earth were cursed to eternally be
parallel...
COCOON (A Rock Song)
I do appreciate your being here
But one day soon you know I'll disappear.
And when I fly,
I'll fly on butterfly wings.
I know you see someone you think is me.
But nothing's really what it seems to be,
and when I fly
I'll fly on butterfly wings.
Bright light.
Never ending white light.
All my life a sweet ride, on butterfly wings.
Highway.
Always going my way
I'll keep going my way, on butterfly wings.
Out there
I'll be going somewhere
and I'm going to get there, on butterfly wings
Bright light
never ending white light
all my life a sweet ride, on butterfly wings.
It's not that I don't care, you know I do.
And you can feel it, when I think of you,
and when I fly,
I'll fly on butterfly wings.
© Ron Wilson aka Vee Bdosa the Doylestown Poet
This rock song I wrote came from 2 sources/muses of mine, one of the from Jim Morrison, I believe it pretty well described sort of in his own words, how he felt about our world, the other from Maya Angelou, one of my own favorite poet mentors.
There are no happier eyes than yours,
there's no kinder heart than yours;
my huge universe is built on these,
my passion is an incurable disease!
Happier eyes and kinder hearts
rhyme perfectly in any song...
then sing it for love, then sing it for joy;
you'll be amazed for how long
it will stay on lips that taste happiness...
while arms hug tenderly!
I've been loving others
for the wrong reasons,
did I ever abuse you to fulfill
my selfish desires?
Every touch you felt was a thrill,
every smile was brighter than stars!
There are no happier eyes than yours,
there's no kinder heart than yours;
I may seem hard in looks,
but kind in tender emotions!
Happier eyes and kinder hearts
rhyme perfectly in any song,
then sing it for love, then sing it for joy;
you'll be amazed for how long
it'll stay on lips that taste happiness...
while arms hug tenderly!
Isn't the concept of men
who hold back tears
an unfair perception?
I have cried silently not showing
more sensitive eyes,
how much harm I did to myself
hiding in shame, not letting
tears fall and reveal my true self?
Happier eyes and kinder hearts
rhyme perfectly in any song,
sing it for love, sing it for joy;
you'll be amazed how long
it'll stay on lips that taste happiness'''
while arms hug tenderly!
[This poem can be sung to the tune of Memory from the Broadway Musical,
" Cats ". I haven't written the music yet. Most likely it will be a crossover:
a pop/country/rock song.]
I was taken for a ride
by another poets desire
to take my love
and warp it from above
but I got wise
to love in desguise
and I became stronger
my intuitions longing
for flying friendly skies
buying the ticket
waiting in line
the thrill of this chase
got me thinking
is this a
wonderful ride
or Satan's demise
so I took the time
to comprehend
that this game
wasn't my time
to explore my mind
in finding
the thrill ride
was just a game
in a players find
minding his rhyming
for pleasures of
unwinding inside
so I tore up
the ticket
and walked away
thinking
to myself
I'm glad
I ended
this game played
so I could
be myself
with my quest
for real love
in playing
my way
