Premium Member - Young Divine Happiness -

She is young and free, and most of her love lies in front of her
As the dawning twilight holds one breathless air under misted whispers

A sight she often looks beyond the vast land that always ends in the ocean
Upon the rocks driven by a seabreeze salted fragrance lingers

Waves and natural forces full of power draws upon sound and rhythm
Mixed echoes crying gulls rise and fall as they crash ringing home

To walk along the beach barefoot, she has time to be young
Reflecting back on each step forward petals of a sunbeam enters

Feeling divine happiness every second heartbeat without a special reason
Time begins to challenge the labours of the trodden path

Live it is to dare, nobody has gone in her step before
Standing upon the apex captivated by thought spiralling

Form a sculpture of wet sand, without being critical
Leaving an imprint under the shell where holds precious pearls

A way to expose oneself to something unfamiliar and unsafe
Petals of a flower dancing to a winds melody rings midnight bells

She dreams of love, with expectations and hope to be a queen
Under the starlight where a moon's cradle swoons her with a smile

A hand to hold, the first kiss ... a puzzling thought
Where memories are born a fire always burns regally sealed

RETREAT TO HEED OUR HONEST DEEDS

Two old oak trees weathered by winds and rain
with fallen leaves, branches and toughened bark
to shield a core of grandeur, and sustain
the wisdom borne to see the light from dark.
Two noble men aware of twilight time
both face evil world with courage and grace
Love and Nature gifts each, a life sublime
all standing with courage none can erase.
Each rooted within mother earth's great fold
weathering this world's darkest raging storms
images show lives lived regally and bold
tho' existing in weakened earthen forms.
With words of wisdom written in our seeds
we seek retreat to heed our honest deeds.

Premium Member A Beautiful Day In Spring

Out of the dark, a lambent, lovely day has dawned
In silvery brilliance the early morning is drowned
In the sapphire sky, the sun has appeared on his diurnal shift
Over the firmament the vagrant clouds aimlessly drift

Pigeons nestle with their fledglings in the eaves
Bright sunshine seeps down through the leaves
Flocks of birds take on wings for their morning flight
Like diminutive dots they eventually disappear out of sight

All around is seen spring’s mesmerizing presence
The dormant bulbs have sprung back with a vengeance
They bear blossoms of pink, purple, yellow and white
Flashing before every watchful eye a spectacular sight

Like a bride, the Earth is clad in her silky emerald dress
Around honey laden florets, the bees restlessly buzz
Every heart overflows in cheer with no tension’s trace
On every face, smile shuttles from lips to eyes

In the wind I hear the lilts of a forgotten melody
From a woodland nearby, a lone bird sounds its parody
It seems Heaven has flung all its treasures down
And the Earth appears regally decked in floral crown

Within me, all of a sudden, I sense a divine elation
Erasing from my sullen soul, all traces of vexation
Through every fiber of my being, the waves of joy rise
And my spirit leaps out in ecstasy to the skies!

Premium Member Gate

Regally it stands, the staunch guardian of her lonesome heart,
Reminiscing in revelries of yore, treasured memories impart,
Defying glum turbulence of now, hanging on to seasons past,
When springs-winsome banished, doldrums harsh-winters cast.

Disheartened, the gate harkens back~ O, so young its master died,
Lamenting of distressed times, when grief stilled her teary eyed;
Yet, with resolve, it squeaks its hinges, resounding a voice of pride,
Beckoning to benevolence of bliss, fate had so callously denied.

With kindred vibes it greets her, vying elation of cherished days,
Suppressing aches and rattles of its rusting, clamoring, phase;
Preferring realm of time, when he was the keeper of this place,
As dutifully now it opens wide, exuding mirth of youthful grace.

O, how fondly the gate recalls, dance of duo beneath full moon,
Humming melodies intimate, passions of doting souls croon,
Embracing celebration of life, as heartbeats enamored attune,
To rhythms emanating song of love, strumming infatuated tune.

Despite groans and whimpers, blaring aloud clattering of pain,
The gate vows to protect her, refusing ever to wither or wane,
Unwavering through thunders, rains, vicious strikes of feeble age,
Challenging its steeled bones, to gallantly defy seasons’ rage.

Premium Member A Unicorn Spell

Opening wings spreading out
one pure beautiful image in beholding
Gracefully embracing inside visions
greeting Mother of pearl shimmering rainbow hues
Her horn sparkling tipped diamond
Under the moonlight silver gleams
Her silhouette reflecting light
Princess wearing golden horse shoes
One mane in softest satin silk
Regally standing mustang wild

Magically colored purest washed from the ocean foam
Cascading hair scenting of burnt honey
Eyes penetrating in baby blue awakening
Her long lush lashes flutter and glisten
Upon her lips last rosebud's dew
Her coat in white like slushy snowflakes
reflecting glass shards of crescent cradles
She roams the fields singing to the prince
it is only love that will finally set her free
from a curse cast on her beauty
by an evil wizard

To be the only winged unicorn
of it's kind in the world
flying into softest cushioned clouds
She dances and sings, then she stills
In distance she listens to the sound of a flute
And there She sees a gorgeous young man
lying on carpets of evergreen
along with his father, and mother the queen
Her melodic voice like that of a jeweled string harp
hypnotised the prince
He ran and ran after pink butterflies which led the way
They took him to her
They glide above them
then to the promising celestial sky
they flew away baby blue
infinite their love.

As if He knew her in another lifetime sweetly
His eyes where glued. Into her own
He knew he loved her and had to hold her
Never to leave him all by himself
regally standing mustang white

His eyes were fixed into hers...
To her he went with joyful tears
His lips brushed smoothly her every fears
As then he whispered behind her ears
You are a unicorn and I'm a man
but with no other my.heart will share
I ll make you mine if you say yes
The first winged unicorn as a princess
Then he kissed her upon her neck
and a strong wind just pushed him back
From a white horse. ,fair lady She
had now won over her destiny
The prince's lips removed the curse
Now she is his ,as he is hers

Overflowing his heart
in sweeping golden joy
forever on deep sands
living always together
in everlasting happiness

Premium Member Florida Nature

Blending in so beautifully in the endless everglades
The heron waits patiently

The warm wind ripples the water
He waits regally

Standing still like a statue in silent blue waters
He waits hungrily

Catching his first fish of the day
No more waiting - he dines like a king

Premium Member The Old Rusty Gate

Withered memories invigorate, rekindling rhythm of heart,
Grabbing hold of me to retrieve elation of forgotten past
Throbbing in enchantment, treasured memoirs now impart,
Where decaying house stands, bearing grief seasons cast.

Up the hill I trek, gazing pastures glistening in dawning day
As glint of dawn slowly scintillates horizon shrouded gray
Amid mooing calls of cows, where mango trees gently sway,
Waltzing echoes of yore, clucking~ clattering hens convey.

How regally it welcomes me, my cherished childhood place
Beckoning as it peeks through the creaking old metal gate
That opens wide its fatigued frame, exuding welcome grace,
Lamenting of rusted hinges, squeaking of weathered fate.

Buoying on impulses serene, you enter boldly realm green
Fixated in pristine meadows~ burbling tenor of streams,
Holding my indulgent embrace, there you proudly preen,
For being blessed to own endearing piece of idyllic dreams;

Envisioning an intimate chalet, built on love felt and known,
Where cattle graze, birds built nests, animals freely roam,
Among paradise of orchards, vines, bedazzling as it’s grown,
While rusty old gate, loath to moan, beholds bliss of home.

Premium Member Luna's Eclipse

Luna, to the depths
     of my fondest delight,
You are regally dressed
     this beautiful night.
Your beaming full face,
     frosted splendidly bright,
Causes Venus to become
     pale in your sight.
Your reflection shining down
     from your lofty height
Dances on the swaying sea
     in bejeweled light.
Known as the `beaver'
     full moon eclipse tonight,
In awe still am l as your
     shadow takes flight.
I rejoice in the return
     of your graceful might.

© Connie Marcum Wong

Note:
**Why is the full moon known as the "beaver" full moon?
The U.S. Naval Observatory's Geoff Chester offers the reasoning behind the name:
"[The] name comes from Native American skylore reminding trappers to set their
final traps for the season before the beaver ponds freeze up for the winter,"
Chester writes. He also notes this moon is sometimes also referred to as the "Frosty Moon."

Premium Member Walmart

I want to mingle
with the people of Walmart
as they regally push
their shopping carts
Eclectically dressed perfection
each a work of art
Camouflaged chic
or an old guy
dressed like a tart
Back and forth my eyes dart
Over there
a sequinned heart
and here
a bedazzled jacket
that looks real smart

Some saunter,
some sashay
reaching into pockets
and purses to pay
The happy faced discounts
make everyone’s day
Treasure troves in hand
life’s better than okay
See the flying nun
with her habit hiding her gun
Today’s discounted ammo
is tomorrow’s fun
As I watch her pay
I wonder if her beads and bullets
help her to pray

A coupon cowboy
basement bargain pleasure
a new pair of jeans
some pork and beans
for good measure
Get in, get out
no time for leisure
Here the world moves too fast
he don’t like the pressure

Low cut tight tops
girls searching for cheap
bargains galore
listen to the cash registers beep
I let the sights and sounds
into my brain seep
None of these people are sheep
humanity is well beyond skin deep
Lingering laughter later
might make it hard to sleep
Perhaps too much butt cleavage
and beep bleep bleep!

Premium Member Ice King

He grew within a frigid place
No one thought those legs would ever part
A Dark Prince thawed her frozen heart

A member long and stiff like ice
Penetrates
Cuts through the cold
His seed
His power
They both take hold
Invade
Satiate
Invigorate
Skin white as snow
begins to glow
A subtle blush
She feels the rush
Heated up
Ever so slightly
His cold blue eyes
shine brightly

She screams in the night
Pleasurable blue light
Her senses take flight

Then the dark prince goes away
The night was night and this is day
There's no desire in him to stay
With a heavy heart on the bed she lay
For him just a thing of play

Inside
His seed
Her baby grows
What is happening
she does not know
Pulse is rapid it will not slow

Her red veins
turn to blue
There is nothing
she can do
Her heart now frozen
a block of ice
She thinks cold thoughts
that are not nice
Inside the child feeds on her
The days and nights become a blur

In the middle of winter
The Ice King is born
From fragile womb
his body torn
Arrival accompanied
by a storm

Those present become statued ice
The King extracts his sacrifice
His mother spared
To her his love he shows
She wraps him in blanket
of pure white snow
His skin translucent
begins to glow

All of a sudden
the Dark Prince appears
He commands bring the baby over here
I wish to gaze upon my son
He is a truly magnificent one

He looks closely at the baby's face
Resemblance more than just a trace
Blue eyes dark they extract a toll
Sucking up the Prince's soul
The Ice King
emerges
fully grown
Regally rises to take his throne

Mother cries
Blue magical tears
Time for coronation
Rapidly nears
Diamonds fall
onto the ground
Placed in ice
The King is crowned

Premium Member Moon Rays

It promised to be a bright starry night
as the sun dipped over the horizon.
Poignantly poised the few clouds scatter
as majestically the moon makes her appearance.

So close as she starts her nightly sweep
her rays near bright as day, regally
she dominates the dark sending it to oblivion as
she highlights this and that according to her whim.

Fickly she slips behind some clouds and
plunges the lands into inky darkness.
Laughing with glee she travels to her zenith
hovering there perfectly framed in beauty.

Now past her apex time rushes on as she dips down
her stellar light slowly begins to fade away.
With a final flick she bathes the world in silver
then bows to the dawning sun as she slips away

Premium Member Each Day a Gift

Perceive each day as a gift!
A gift freely given “no strings attached”
With the added bonus of free will for spice
On this beautiful serving tray of life
Two choices regally displayed- The Light and The darkness
I bow, I choose the gift more profound
The gift of light, free and clear
From the God of order and mercy,
Daily admonishing "Take only what you need in life,
All excess be kind and share"
I taste it, I accept it, and I kneel in humble worship of Him
His promise-eternal life in God’s presence
Everlasting peace!

To choose the darkness where tyranny reigns
Temporal riches galore amassing
Pure foolery, as these gifts- none are ever free
All illusions, just as magic, will vanish - poof!!
From the god of chaos and lies, beguiling
"Take! Live, the world is yours! You deserve all the best!"
All this for your immortal soul
But comes a day when the bill comes due!
No grace period, no mercy, and to be paid on demandl!
I decline! I reject! this god of chaos with
His promise - eternal separation from God
Everlasting anguish, suffering and pain!

Gently petals touch Heaven's gate
Flowering blossoms beholding captivate

always crowning heartbeats opening turns key
Daydreams lingering precious dewdrops glisten

Upon the thorns standing out

Lovingly a queen among'st flowers
