An Abiding Thirst To Quench and Admire

When wands of beauty spell the core of heart
a rapture gasped and pounded into me
my vision I long to capture in art
with hands of poetry dipped into glee.

When music flows through the chambers of mind
no sounds heard but steps of the soul in trance
as a glow of joy through the soul would glide
the self whirls and twirls in a divine dance.

When smitten with supernal sensations
mysteries, you seek to perceive and frame
taste sweet pains to reach higher dimensions
the soul is deeply moved by light and flame.

Ever, the heart fill and the mind inspire
With abiding thirst, to quench and admire.

Water Can Not Quench

Cold, relentless rain
Pound on heated, fevered skin
Nature seems jealous
Water can not quench, my love
Nor contain this deep yearning

Soul Thirst Quench

In draining sand I trace the line
the tide has made in bubbles, fine,

where scalloped wavelets sloped in foam,
halt the ocean’s wide roiling roam.

Pale seashells shimmer in bright sun
and tiny crabs sport sideways run;

whitecaps dancing, turquoise to green,
toss at my feet a glossed sea bean.

Solitude, loved quiet and calm,
give to my weary soul sweet balm.

The mornings that I stroll the beach
seem like heaven slips into reach;

I pause to rest on driftwood bench
drink in the sea, my soul thirst quench.

Premium Member Quench My Desire

If my thirst for love, I could quench
my heart would beat in rhythmic sound
and not be saddened, torn in wrench
Happiness would be joy unbound

Hunger to be wanted, sated
if my thirst for love, I could quench.
For eons of time I've waited
Lonely wallflower on a bench

Sorrowful tears, my clothes in drench.
Embers would glow in my heart's fire
if my thirst for love, I could quench.
At last I'd be filled with desire

Where is the one of whom I dream
To his love, I shall ever clench.
I'd search each silvery moonbeam
If my thirst for love, I could quench

Kindle and Quench

Your touch plugs me in,
Lights my body from within,
Fills my veins with liquid light
Till my dormant heart ignites
To be moulded like blown glass -
An urn to hold this cooling ash.

Quench My Thirst.

Now you’re in dark waters,
Tried to be the puppet master to my mind.
I don’t know why you even bothered,
I’ve just been trying to live my life.
You should have seen there’s no strings on my shoulders.
All is ruined, all that we had.
My heart is still warm it hasn’t grown colder.
Lucky for you I never fell into your trap.

I see you drowning in the water.
There’s no revenge in me so I will act quick.
Just let me know when your feet touch bottom.
I will help you out and come take a sip.
I see you in panic mode, your mind is lost.
So I will come and quench my thirst.
This is what you get for trying to control my river of thoughts.
Yet sadly you’re not the first.

Everything I have inside me,
Is the love and emotion that I feel.
You tried to manipulate and grab it all.
It was never yours and yet you tried to steal.
Now you’re looking for the shoreline,
That is where you will see me.
Just try and live your own life.
When you learn that you can put dry ground under your feet.
I never wanted things to end up this way.
I only hope there’s something you have learned.
Trying to control me is a game you don’t want to play.
You will be in dark water with the only guarantee of not getting burned.

Water To Quench My Thirst

In Summer I must be sated
Or my health will be ill-fated
I long for rain from a cloudburst
Only water will quench my thirst

To satisfy my need to slake
A drink of water, I'll partake
It's the liquid I think of first
Only water will quench my thirst

I swim in rivers when I dream,
where currents carry me downstream
In cool rapids I am immersed
Only water will quench my thirst

A vital elixir of life
I'm thankful water is so rife
for without it, death is accursed
Only water will quench my thirst

Quench This Fire, a Retourne By Ronald S Porter

Hold me like you'll never let go;
love me, each time, as if the first.
Shake me and quake me, slake my thirst
Quench this fire-My desire.

Love me each time, as if the first;
relearn my flesh, again, anew.
Discover new ways to excite me;
uncover passion's mystery.

Shake me and quake me; slake my thirst.
Give me nectar; let me drink deep-
'til I am filled and satisfied.
I promise I will fill you too.

Quench this fire-My desire;
leave me exhausted, limp, and drained.
Then renew urge, with tender tease.
'til urgency arouse once more!

Quench Their Thirst

their every heartbeats are for each other
no intake of food
they live on love
they drink each other’s smiles
nurture their love
his, every tender word
her nourishment
his touch sends shivers up her spine
his thought only of her
she is his dream girl
never did she believed that one day

her dreams would come true
and still she is dreaming of him
still she is longing for him
when she looks into herself
she aches at night without his touch
because she is not with him
 words spoken
desires placed on hold
soon her dream will come true
together they will quench
their thirst for true love...

Quench Me, My Love

When it's late at night and sleep can't be found-
when the loneliness walks through to say hello,
…because I miss you, all I do is close my eyes and you are near.

Softly, you appear as I turn on that song, and memories rush back.
I am drawn to you like a magnet; I am in love with you like no other.

The gentle and sweet smell I try to remember, becomes so clear.
I am the one; you are the one.
It's so late tonight, so dark,
but beautiful with closed eyes and memories.

As you breathe new life into me, I release my defeat.
My obsolete sorrow has left and we are free inside our intimacy.
You bring me passion beyond measure and on this starry night,
       we shall embrace...

   me. you. just us two...
and after all we've been through.

Shower me at dawn like a dew drop on a rose nurturing her nectar.
Thirst for me at dusk as a constellation does for a shooting star.

For I am your drought in July, an Arizona heated blistering infatuation;
I need your rain so I may be quenched-
for it has always been your love…

To Quench You

I move slowly still closer
Melting in your attention to shock hopeful dawn
The shuddering clouds are smiling
Coaxing me to frenzy forward
The roots are growing on me, wrestling amongst each other
Clutching, wanting to become me
Calmly, knowingly...when seen, I hide
Revealing my weakness, my need to please

I am holding my own, guarded inside the nearest obscurity
I desire your dreams to tip me,
As I whir in your tempestuous dusk
Mirrors reflect monsters moving with intent
With appetites that no longer shame me
Facing you, full form
I am the longing phantom, flooding shadows,
Hiding my tears in my frustrations

I would release them if I knew for certain you would drink them

Premium Member Sunshine Doth Quench a Beautiful Day Qd

Through the wet willows, we stumble on

Right in mid of autumn, perfect days.

With first breath, the wakeful light of dawn

A mystique flaming fire rise a blaze

In the distant horizon, upon

Hope, this perfect time didn't drift a-ways

As gray, slow, swirl clouds and nearer drawn

While the sun is rising. Nature plays

Immersed under waves of warm sunshine.

Premium Member Many Waters Can'T Quench Love - Song of Solomon 8: 7

The love of God is unlimitedly vast
no measure of it can we attain
it’s fathomless in its great depth
no description’s possible from any brain

Almighty God Himself sends it forth
in all His great deeds of kindness
protecting sustaining this earth here
no matter our worsening spiritual blindness

God loves us no matter our great sin
how often we betray Him but yet
He keeps pouring it out upon us
this we owe Him an unpayable debt

But this debt Jesus paid in full
giving His life as a sacrificial lamb
what price is this of such love
granting to us His healing balm

Many waters can’t quench love
no amount of oceans remove it away
for God’s love is indeed simply perfect
coming constantly filling our needful bay

(‘Many waters can’t quench love, rivers cannot sweep it away.’
Song of Solomon ch. 8 v. 7.)

Lover's Quench

Velvet soft rose-petal red lips,
Honey-slathered promises drip.
Luminous blue star-laden eyes,
Encompass soul-mate realized.
Blossomed kiss lingered in morrow,
Withered dead blossoms of sorrow.
Famished, reaching for sunlight drench,
Withheld desire, lover’s quench.

Who Can Quench These Sights of Tomorrow

It will be evident too
much in our sober
confidences,
Trusting all we needed
and to our little yatch
turns,
Making room for so much
creativity and learned
respect,
Grace for tommorrow
and our hope's needed
leaps to be in reality's
endform,
The signs are true...thus
the times were hard.

Above earth's schemes to
life,
Placing mysteries in little
"Salient-Natural-Things"
that came-by to salute a-
halloo and
balloo,
Pacingly..Here is what we
call thinking Old eyes...Still
thinking...
"Salient Minds"....Reality
linkings,
A Dreamy Phase...A
Dreamy Phrase...A Sinking
Haze,
This dreamy paraphrase.

Lets "Rock" on Basses
and Sambas,
Lets lighten on Cymbals
and the Guitars,
Lets level on "JAZZ and
SALSA",
Lets happen to travel on
pure white Dragons and
More,
The fumes of the
Lotus...Say while travelling
along with salient minds
along the banks
of Tommorrow in whited
yatchs and more,
Jack's bean stalk and
sundry linkings,
Cleanliness another fitting.
