Water To Quench My Thirst

In Summer I must be sated Or my health will be ill-fated I long for rain from a cloudburst Only water will quench my thirst To satisfy my need to slake A drink of water, I'll partake It's the liquid I think of first Only water will quench my thirst I swim in rivers when I dream, where currents carry me downstream In cool rapids I am immersed Only water will quench my thirst A vital elixir of life I'm thankful water is so rife for without it, death is accursed Only water will quench my thirst August 6, 2022 A Kyrielle About Water Contest Sponsored by Kim Rodrigues

Drinking water to satisfy one’s thirst explored in the first two verses then you bring us into a dreamlike trance followed up by what feels like the fountain of youth - a vital elixir! Congratulations, Jenna!

Lucky was I to be raised where there was only water to drink! Children raised on soda pop will suffer from it for the rest of their life! Enjoyed, Jenna! Aloha!

Thanks, Rico. When I was younger, a drink from the garden hose was the best. Now, it has to be bottled for some.

We are so lucky that we can just turn on the tap and it's there and it's hard to believe that in this day and age many don't have that luxury. Nothing beats it on a hot and humid day. Best of luck Jenna and hope your weekend is going well. Tom
