Premium Member Floating

Being here is like being in the womb
Of the woman who carried you in this warm
Safe pool where all your worries were how to
Move your arm, how to not get entwined in that
                     Weird rope in the middle.

The water is cold, but not too, and if you close your eyes
You can imagine, you can JUST imagine what it feels like
To be so free again, and looked after and cared for
You can JUST hear voices quarrelling
And this very instant you realise this water is not
Your mother’s love just below her heart, her love
Is here all around you and she will worry if you float
                     On and on.

Most times this is how life is, trying to get a grip on it
But it evades like the little waves you can make with your hands
Little ripples in the surface that mean nothing
Like trying to get a grip on what people say around you
Words without meaning or at least it eludes you
As if swimming between fish with their own language
Forever trying to guess
                     And being rejected

Once you liked to swim,
Once you were a wee one
So with slow calculated strokes you move to safety
And sit shivering.
Not knowing how to live life and connect
Nor knowing how to stop life.
Once you loved to swim, hearing your mother
Sing to you from a distance. And that sound brings you
                     Back home again.

A Selfish Request

Don't go before me, please stay awhile,
I want to remember your quirky smile
and your dancing eyes and the lilt of your voice
and the way you laughed when I gave you the choice
of marrying me or, something worse,
to wander the earth forever cursed,
unable to love or care for another,
and now we've become like sister and brother.
Grown old together, and set in our ways,
quarrelling, laughing and counting the days
when we are apart, two halves of the whole,
my morning papers, my Sunday morning stroll,
your Laurel to my Hardy, the quench for my thirst,
whatever will I do if you go first?

Don't go before me, have some regard,
life without you will be terribly hard.
How will I cope? It's impossible to tell.
Pictures and memories are all very well
but they'll never replace the smell of your hair,
or being in a room and knowing you're there.
Or squeezing your hand whilst you are sleeping,
or watching soppy movies and knowing you're weeping.
If you're not there I'll be missing all this,
your involuntary laughter, your goodnight kiss.
The way you wear your specs on your nose.
The startled look when you wake from a doze.
The Gods in their heaven will forever be cursed
if my prayers are unanswered and you go first.

If you do go before me I'll never forgive
the way you relinquished your willingness to live
and left me bereft of feeling, and more,
a ship without rudder, a boat without oar.
For without you, I'm nothing - a meaningless thing,
a quest without purpose, a bell without ring.
A pale imitation of a man that used to be,
blinded by a growing rage that would not let me see
any further than tomorrow, if you should go before
and leave me here floundering on life's barren shore.
For what good will I be without you in my life?
My friend, my companion, my partner - my wife.
If you do go before me, can I ask you to be kind
and don't walk too quickly - for I'll not be far behind.

The Animal State

No earthquake, no thunder, no volcanic eruption
Or even there was no any of natural calamities,
A sudden loud sound broke out all through the bush
With whizzing, shuddering, cracking, tearing, echoing,
Fear, horror, dark, terror, misery and ill spirits spread
Committing destruction, death in a horrible situation,
Dust, dirt, smoke coiled over the whole atmosphere
The harmless animals are quite perplexed, helpless
They began crying, shouting, running, rushing, fainting
Seeing reddish spots and innumerable torn bodies,

They blamed one another for committing the crime,
Brawling, harming, plotting hardened in them
A long conflict complicated and awful tangled,
Loosing the worms of crime, injustice and corruption,
The virtues sunk and the vices rose everywhere
Envious state of barbarism, terrorism inflicted on them
The poor animals lost peace and principles they had
Centuries curse engulfed all what was out of thought,

Ferocious animals are in the neighbouring big forest
They always wait for chances on the helpless ones,
They do not care for hesitating in violating terms
Committing all sorts of hyenas and monstrous harms,
They know how and when to cook poisonous broth
And how to throw an unseen net to catch the rest,

Once some cats were quarrelling nearby the bush
Some wild dogs of the big forest made an instant rush,
For repeated barking mewing was beyond of hearing
Foxes and monkeys also joined within a quick haste
Crows, kites and vultures started crowing for the feast
What more, rats and mice left the bush being frightened
Dreadful tumult, commotion, collision, conflict took place
At the arrival of buffalos, deer, bears, wolfs and hyenas,

But with the unexpected appearance of lions and tigers
All the surroundings became instant silent and isolated
All went away murmuring without a single looking back,
The victorious were excited having got all easy victory
But they found troubles to enjoy the whole empire lonely
So there were roaring, shouting, blustering, threatening
Of occupying empire, power, lordship and over lordship
‘Might is right’ established in the ruleless bestial state.

Face Book Status

I have face book on my smart phone
 And get some notifications yesterday
I was driving down by k mart
But was curious to see what it says

But as I pick up my phone
A police stop and give a ticket to me
I have to pay $250 to see
Some one post “they feeling lazy”

What is wrong with this people?
Like face book have them going mad
They posting all kind of craziness
Like “I wake up and feeling sad”

Face book is a social media
To connect with friends and family
But some people get the wrong ideas
And use it as their personal diary

Face book can be very entertaining
With some very interesting post to see
I just use it to share my poems
 And nothing personal about me

But sometime it does make me wonder
If face book getting to people brain
Why else would some one want to post
“I going back to sleep again”

So let us get this straight
They wake up to say “going to sleep again’
If you don’t find something wrong with this
Then I’m the one going insane

A woman post pix of her lavish Sunday meal
On the table with the candles lights dim
Then writes” romantic dinner for me and hubby”
But this morning she was quarrelling with him

Yesterday a girl post a lot of bad words
Then today she only posting religious
And when I ask her about it
 She said I’m being ridiculous

The men crazy for face book to
But they keep them posting informative
And one in a while they may post a joke
 But nothing to derogative

Men like to read what them women post
They have us curious and amuse
 Although some we don’t understand
And some does left us confuse

Amanda changing profile pix every minute
Face book can’t keep up with she
So they make a new site just for her
 And call it ‘Amanda’s library”

A couple goes to the grocery
And post their location where they are
To share the very interesting facts
That they buying rice and flour

Some goes out with friends and family
 And post very pictures
Them some does post interesting words
 From the Holy Scriptures

A lot of people use face book
The way it was intended to be
And then some just use it
 Show case their stupidity

Natures Call At Christmas- Contest

all is calm this winters night
branches heavy with snow,
creating twinkling icy patterns
delighting the eye as we take in the show.
everywhere you look, natures decorations
fondle everything, a wintery scene,
greetings they seem to say, be
happy this Christmas day, because,
in a stable so long ago
Jesus was born to save our souls
kind and generous the son of God.
let us light up the candles, carollers sing out
many words about God on high,
nature adds the back drop to the nativity
oh how the voices ring, echoing throughout the land
peace is the magic word, peace of mind
quarrelling we seem to have a plenty,
rows between nations seems the norm, like
squirrels for ever arguing over hidden nuts
the politicians, should listen to natures call, to
unite together to forgive the past.
voices can be heard coming out of the mist
welcoming all, let's enjoy this precious time.
xmas the word conjures up a snowy white glow
yuletide time for natures show.
zany memories to forever hold.

If I Didn'T Think What I Think, Here's What I'D Think

If I didn't think what I think...here's what I'd think....

I think I am a product of my raising.
Destined to be no better or no worse.
I'd think there is no reaping nor no justice.
I'd think fun is life and life is good.
And love don't live on my street no more.
Quarrelling and strife were the crux of life.
Thinking backwards is not that easy thinking forward is harder still....
Tomorrow is now until I close my eyes that moment is eternity....
My quiet place behind my eyes.

(Continued from Part Two - 2)

While those that lay claim, nay, boast of
    to the largest democratic state
	   a bi-cameral constitution
simply inherited from Westminister
as much as the unifying language
     and the soi-disant socialist stamp
  transported lock stock and tablier
from a Cambridge freemasonic lodge
         by the Nehru dynasty progenitor
look the other way
with thumb and index closing on nostrils
when their pariah cart their faeces away
and still after millennia acknowledge and uphold the Brahmin
    the self-proclaimed superior priesthood caste
those who speak for the Godhead Brahman
albeit speak with Him in the only sacred Sanskrit tongue
                                           thus to be enthroned
      on the highest pure-blooded pedestal

Can there be an Asia
   the cradle of quarrelling Gods
which can listen to the little voice within
the voice of innocence

Is there an ASIA
 or
   are there asias

As there were warring Euro-nations…

Nature Is Stubborn

Nature Is Stubborn

See where its siblings are abundantly born
You will concede Nature is wisely stubborn;

On a parched desert that gives no reward
Cactus’s juicy, naked legs shoot upward.

Temperamental grass, like tresses or locks
Eke out a living breaking into hard rocks.

Corals quarrelling with coldness of brine,
Sprout under water flowers of dazzling design!

Nature breaks every manmade barrier-
Would man heat and thaw Iceland glacier?

Scientists to genes’ inclination they follow...
They alter organs, yet to hormones kowtow!

We can easily alter every corporal activity
We cannot successfully tinker with gravity!

Dim Lit Night

Quiet is the Dim Lit Night
Tearing Eyes cannot find sight
The Quarrelling Mind gives up the fight
Nothing now to make it right

The road to Freedom long is paved
So much Heartache along the way
The Eyes into the Soul today
Are blind and numb and well Betrayed

Kind and Gentle the Soul longs to be
Yet hopelessly Mental seems it Destiny
Save this Pen it's Company
Through times of Pain and Agony

Quiet is the Dim Lit Night

America, the Age of Conflict

America, the land of the free, catering to the wealthy and pushing the poor.
Blacks are all but exempt; they are seen as property and nothing more.
California brought into this nation by gold, as a false equality,
Demanded by some to spread the systems of vast irrationality.
Extradition in compromise to abolition.
Fugitives thrown back to chains, complete pacification.
Grace, all too fallen from, that was this nation.
Humble as many others were, one woman changed the nation.
Illegal activities by abolitionist became the norm, in hopes to stop degradation.
Johns and Janes educated in the taboo subject of the naive.
Kings and knights replaced with tyrannicals and elderly slaves.
Liberty and freedom for all,
Men and woman, Black and White, all readying to fall.
Night falls, creating a stage for the quarrelsome show.
Oppositions face each other, their bodies ready to feed the coming crows.
Position between this and that,
Quarrelling over the proper way to skin a cat.
Runaways are forgotten for the time being,
Say it so, as many were fleeing.
Tackless politicians following a false tradition,
Utilitarian, one may say, on their decision.
Vicious out cries spread across the nation following
White men's decision to take a stand being,
Xecute the evils of the world.
Yells coming from each side, each saying they are more moral'd.
Zephyrs blow across the grasses, to contrast what is to come.

Song of a Teenage Girl 1/2

PRELUDE

The song expresses the feelings of an Indian village girl. Her parents have fixed her
marriage (It generally happens in the rural areas of India, even to-day). She is about to
leave for the first time for her in-law’s place. She do not want to go to her father in
law’s place leaving her parents, her soul mates friends the animals and birds. The song
sketches the tender feelings of her heart for her Mother, Father and Brother & for the
animals and birds, whom she used to look after until now as her most precious friends and
who taught her how to sing a sweet song.

Song of a Teenage Girl 1/2

Why you are sending me to an alien place, the place of my in laws, O Mother dear and Father,

I played and enjoyed my child hood and youth, in your courtyard O dear Mother & Father,

You always kept me on your eyelids like a pearl of tears,

O Mother, you always kept me close to your bosom, like the beatings of heart, where I laughed and bloomed.

O Father, after quarrelling with my brother, I used to weep for hours,

Whenever you call my name, I used to be so proud of you, O my dear Father.

O Father, by seeing a smile on your face, we used to bloom like a flower.

Then, why you are sending me to an alien place* O My Mother and Father *,

Please listen to me, O dear Father & Mother, if you have already decided to send me to my in-laws,

-Now you have to give food and water to the Parrots on the Tree.

-O, Mother you have to give now fodder and water to our Cow in our courtyard.

-And do not forget to give grains to our oxen Chun Mun, whom I look after in our fields.

-My melody singing Koyal* would be sitting and waiting for me on the Mango tree.

O Mother, it is Koyal, who taught me how to sing a sweet song,

Please do not forget to look after that lovely singing bird.

Listen to me, O My dear Father & Mother, if you have already decided to send me to my in laws,

All my birds, animals and my childhood friends would be waiting for me with tearful eyes, O Mother,

Please tell them your daughter has left this place forever and has gone,

To her in laws, a place so alien to her. .... concluded in part 2

From the Pages of My Book

From the pages of my book

From the pages of my book
I learnt there are opportunities more
Selection among them remained my courage
Whether to jump from heaven for score
Down in the earth to explore gems and
For conquering love of country and country men

I dug out grains from the pages of others
Knowingly or unknowingly appeared such
Why do people tend to cultivate fame?
There are many important jobs to do from selections
Why people incline to choose dejected lots!
From which cannot spread course of love

A narrow lane to walk with difficulty
From where one day need to return from fear
And should meet the requirement of other brothers
Then in vain to disperse unwilled force
That cannot produce almighty’s source
A creation permanent and immortal search

Such lost minds of the people are scattered
Searching to find actual needs of all
That could be stamina for all, for love
Perfect stay and provision of rest here and there
A class of solace acceptance for all
Natural win for all brothers and sisters

Examine yourself O all distracted minds
Love blooms in all hearts please leave to mature it
Find solution there are multiple choices for peace
Quit the habit of quarrelling, please remove deposited clots
A win there can be when falls conjured barriers
Shake warm hand to build globe for all, glory to all.

A nation for all
Peace for all
Win for all.

The 21st Century

This new age technology
Have me confuse I must confess
Cause while I spending more money
Everything else is getting less

I will give you some example
Hope you don’t get depress
But if I’m telling the truth
Just answer and tell me yes

Our telephones now
Are all wire wireless
And them new stoves
 Now are completely fireless

A woman in Trinidad washing cloths
On the tree she throws her dress
I ask her why not use a line
She say she going wireless

Google making new cars now
That is driverless
And you just press a button to start
Its is also keyless

They even changing fast food also
To make them completely fatless
So you can eat all you want
While your wallet become cashless

A woman in Malaysia
Have to children who are jobless
And she quarrelling with her husband
Because them wives today are fearless

So while the cost of living rising
Our value become less
The world is in recession
Those leaders are directionless

Today you see young couples
Some of them cheat so heartless
Because to them relationships
Are completely meaningless

Some today have bad attitudes
And live life so careless
And when you tell them good morning
They say mind your own business

 My friend the romantic dude
With then women he has success
But if he don’t marry one
Then he will be living wifeless

The fees in universities are expensive
While education are become valueless
And everywhere in the world today
You will meet people who are manner less

A man buys his wife a perfume
They call it timeless
Then he trying to lose some weight
so he drink is completely sugarless

My girlfriend gives me lunch in a bowl
It was completely soup less
Them ask me if my belly full
Saying today we going foodless

So I tell her yes darling
It was so delicious
Because if I hurt her feeling
She might leave me loveless

Yes the 21 st century
Has everything is getting less
But still am and optimist
And will keep my hope endless
