Pope Francis's belief in the Almighty
has been brought to serious question,
when, on his speech on Origins,
the Bible received nary a mention -
save for a passing glance at Genesis.
His credibility has dwindled rather perilous
it seems - considering, of course, Catholicism's
typical rep of condemning holy writ to ostracism.
The acolytes "explode" with his
acceptance of Naturalism,
Evolution and Bigbangerism.
In a pinch he waved his magician's wand
and pronounced all prior blasphemies - gone!
God - he stated - has no such pointy stick
of which to create all, with a simple flick
of his wrist. The Almighty has limits
and shall conform to Francis's rigid
interpretation, thereof. He tips his hat
in one last show of priestly decorum:
I wish you all a most bless-ed
novus ordo seclorum.

NOTE: The term "novus ordo seclorum" is Latin for "New World Order". If you ever forget how to say it, or spell it, just pick up any American federal reserve note - it'll be right under the pyramid with the all-seeing eye.

African-American and abusive, my late step-dad
     was a reverse racist:
an army sergeant; a Vietnam vet; and, a backhand,
     face-hitting sadist.

I once bemoaned that I was a white child
(as if it were my fault!?)
and that he was black and resentful of me.
     So, once in reckless revolt

against his ongoing abuse,
     I rebelled under my breath
and uttered the "n" word at him
(so he beat me nearly to death).

Bruised, I never uttered that word again;
     then mom and he divorced
as I grew older (which freed us at last!):
     now unrivaled (with no remorse),

I suddenly was the man of the house; and life
     for us seemed less stormy.
For the first time in years we lived without abuse;
and, at last, we were a family.

Then I got religion and met God;
     and gave myself to Christ.
It was the best thing I ever did!
Born again, I thus was sufficed.

So the scars of my step-dad's abuse which
     for years I had repressed
began to heal and disappear; and so I became
     less and less oppressed.

Now old, my erstwhile step-dad developed
     advanced swelling of the lung;
I had not forgiven him yet (back when
I was still angry and young).

Not yet able to forgive him for the abuse that
made our lives so unbearably grim,
I nevertheless still realized that the weight
of still having hatred for him

was far worse than my pain. I recognized
that in life we all transgress
and come short of God's glory: so, moved by
     His grace and forgiveness,

I made the right choice to forgive him;
for me a daily, ongoing process,
I at last began to let go of the anger
and truly begin to move past the mess

that was my step-dad's legacy to me. Also, I
     began to forgive God;
for He was not to blame for him (whose own
father, too, did not spare the rod).

Still, tho' I had chosen to forgive (him) and let go,
he was unmoved and unchanged as ever:
but I, however, realized that what truly mattered
was that forgiveness set me free forever!

When at last he died, I had already completely
let go (so that he was forgiven).
Now I can only ask of God whether my step-dad
was changed from his glimpse of heaven?

Theology exists above and beyond the Church
Holy Orders create an esteemed priest from a humble man
Everlasting life surrounds all those who believe

Consecrating bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus
Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit watch over
Under the guiding light of candle, Monks toil
Revering wise leadership of Pope, Bishops and Clergy
Christians receive blessings, giving tithes in honor
Highest is the calling to live as a Saint eternal

Premium Member The Pope Is Coming

Many people are sprucing up the Quaker City.
Everything must appear clean and pretty.
They anticipate the last weekend in September.
That will be one all of Philadelphia will remember.
Countless visitors will be Philly bound.
Not one vacant hotel room in the city will be found.
There may be some difficulty for commuters to get around.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority
will be selling train passes to a select few by lottery.
Restaurants and stores are expecting a boom in business.
What do you think will be the cause of all of this?
Philadelphia will be visited by Pope Francis.

In the Name of the Pope

Vanguard in death and deception,
Innocent hearts heed to his illusion.
Cry Mama Africa, cry for your children.
Angels with dark countenances are raised against them.
Rise black man, awake from your slumber,
Inactivate the medium that is deceiving you.
Understand, no! over stand the number:
Six, six, six is the number of a man.

From the west they came, with bibles and guns,
Igniting a fire, a burning desire to be like them.
Lost in the labyrinths of prayer, summoning gnomes and goblins;
In persuasion we fly with angels and jinns,
Incarcerated in spins of sins.

Dark is our external shades, but our heart is as red as blood.
Ethiopian blood stained the suit of the woman we dearly loved.
Is the black child a sacrifice to god, their god?

Pope Benedict Xvi Chants Pater Noster

The Pope Benedict XVI chants, " Pater Noster " with a voice not so grand
while distracting himself by gazing at God's outstretched hand
that Michelangelo painted so well
on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

This is a Gregorian chant with music sumptuously composed
by monastery monks whose life dedication was to preserve knowledge
despite the barbaric invasions that they constantly endured...
they knew that their song of celestial sound would survive another age.

He is not wearing a tiara decorated with stones as other popes have,
perhaps it is to express his true humbleness towards God Himself,
that the power of a crown is a selfish manifestation of earthly power,
so on his feeble knees he prays for all, "Pater Noster. "

And while controversy about his birth and ancestry is absurd and unfair,
he's breaking down the barriers of prejudice and race laboriously...
although he came from a nation that conquered and slaughtered without pity;
let us join this selfless servant of our merciful God by chanting, " Pater Noster. "

Before the almightiness of the delighted Creator with " Pater Noster qui es in caelis, "
he displays his devotion for Him and admiration for the artistic hands of tireless bone
that embellished the ceiling of the Sacellum Sixtinum: a gem of the Renaissance;
Rome is in constant transformation, and here Pope Benedict XVI lays another stone.

English translation: Pater Noster qui es in caelis:
Our Father who art in Heaven

The Lay of Sir Donald

The Lay of Sir Donald

(Or: Le Chanson de Donald)

An orange man – of red and trailing tie,
Small hands, and copious twitter-feed – sing I!
Most staunch ’gainst Saracen and Mede is he,
Bare-armed and ruddy-necked his followers be.
Brightly he barteth, and knows how, full well,
In sev’n-score characters his truth to tell.
Courtly he is to nymphs – yea, most correct –
And any contradictions he’ll reject:
Talk of “ailuric rapture”, he maintains,
Was nothing more than banter between swains.
And though, by direst foe as “dotard” shamed –
By REGAL liege-man “moron”, too, proclaimed –
He’s shunned by ANGELA, the Teuton queen
For policies much nearer black than green,
He’s loved by VIKTOR, chief of Magyar horde,
And (still?) VLADIMIR, Muscovy’s dark lord.
But all now tremble at his reckoning,
In Orient far, with JONG the Hermit King.
Tis hard to know whose head is the more beefy
Or whose hair more eccentric’ly coiffefe.
“Since in ballistics you indulge, and fission,”
Quoth he, “Let us contend in micturition.
My country’s armoury is locked and loaded
To make yours but a wilderness,” he goaded.
You doubt he sets his cap at Tyranny?
That risk of Bloody Warre augmented be?
As well to doubt the POPE’S denomination,
Or Silvan Sites of Ursine Defecation!

Ate humble pie dressed white spoke not lipgloss

Memoirs of Pope John Paul Ii

He gave me a strong impact,
with his gift for immemorial gestures;
he embraced the sick and handicapped
he kissed the soil of the nation on his first vist.

As an occupant of the Chair of St Peter,
he brought the world, a message to everyone
his defense for the poor, a substance to carry on
as a church in her journey across cultures.

The awesome volume of his writings,
reveal the kind of pope he was
as a theologian suffused with faith;
as a philosopher endowed with reason.

In his very person, he was charismatic
as a teacher and defender of faith,
he set new directions, left a legacy
and continued the Roman Curia, multicultural.

On themes expounded in his documents,
speeches, homilies and reflections,
he brought the Gospel vis-a-vis the Magisterium
in all spheres that concern contemporary life.

As the first non-Italian pope in 455 years,
since the Netherlander Hadrian VI in 1552
and ever since his election to papacy,
by any measure, he’s a man for all seasons.

Albeit, he’d his disappointments,
his own share of sorrows over clergy in misbehavior –
the scandal of sexual abuse, particularly in this nation,
he remained firm and prayerful as a leader.

In spite of his frailty, Parkinson’s disease and other ailments
he continued his journey with deep faith and sacrifice.
his interreligious relations made a difference,
he visited mosques, synagogues and convened those other leaders.

He canonized saints more than 470 of them,
he beatified more than a thousand men and women.
such a milestone in the life of our Catholicism,
the call to holiness woven in discipleship.

He impressed believers of every faith
with his greatness in many ways;
like one of his favorite phrases,
quoting what St Augustine once said,
“Vobis sum episcopus, vobiscum christianus,”
he celebrated life, helped shape Christendom
with analyses of countless human lives.

Premium Member A Message To Pope Francis

You have seen me in all my woes.
And yet you forgive.
You know me not personally,
But you have seen me on the Streets.
You care that I am a casted-off human-being.
And yet you take me in.
How wonderful you are,
for this is not a sin.
I am grateful to you.
Where you lead, others follow.
You are a Fisher of Mankind.
I am grateful to you.

POPE FANCIS VS PRESIDENT EVARISTE NDAYISHIMIYE

Sanctify them by the truth , your word is the truth.
John 17:17

Pope Francis vs President Evariste Ndayishimiye
As pope Francis called Roman catholic ministers
to start blessing gay and lesbian weddings.
Majority of African cardinals
rejected his orders.
One African cardinal said loudly
 in the church,
"even animals know to reproduce
through a male
and female.
humans can be brainless
to  focus on stupid words.
President Evariste Ndayishimiye did not stay
quietly ,
as Burundians are majority
Roman catholic and protestant.
He said ," gays and lesbians
will be stoned to death
in the Stadiums."
Whose Burundian lesbian or gay
can think to marry
in this country?
did Burundian  president call
for the mass killings
of the gays and lesbians?
I think he referred to the gays
and lesbians
who will try
to come publicly
or officially
as in some countries.
Do African culture and traditions
allow such nonsensical marriages?
What the bible says about homosexuality?
I don't think there will be some gays
and lesbians who will take risk
to do such wedding
in some African countries.
African spirituality
rejects relationships
of people of same sex.

It can seem difficult to question animals,
some people can always ignore senseful questions.
What can be the reason of some folks
to keep supporting  nonsensical ideas.
