Best Poof Poems

Poof

That childhood faith, vehemently spirited,
Difficult to bend, impossible to tame.
That still-cradled heart, curiously open,
Eschewing fear, shunning struggle,
Accepting of each coming day.
The journey so hazardous.
Now a cold-forged and unyielding heart
Beats out each agonizing minute.
Jared by indolence and disappointment,
Vision unrecognizably scarred.
The journey so quickly done.
Needing to chance upon that child again
To lightly touch the angel's brow.

Ponder the lengthy life of our planet
Here we are for only a bitty blink
Many creative creatures now span it
Each having hardly enough time to think

Seemingly senseless gnashing of the truth
Turning it all about and running round
Silently stopping, then there's just poof
Leaving little trifling traces to be found

Funny how flawed and frail we all are
Never knowing what will nudge us next
Mostly seeking some silly thrills thus far
Impacting human lives to small effect

We were wondering who will carry on
Without warning we poof, then we're gone

You always say that in America
anyone can grow up to be President
Then you chuckle and offer
  the current President as proof

I say that your proof is no good ~
He wouldn't grow up if he could

Premium Member Gold - Poof It Is Gone

The morning bright sunlight in the sky, gold rays reach far and wide. After a mighty storm, leaves make a gold carpet to walk upon. Pretty flowers are opening up, gold is exploding over the hills and fields. Nature's gold will not last, watch it when you can~poof it is gone.

Sole and Soul Brother Waves Magic Wand Poof

Sole (and soul) brother waves magic wand (poof)...,
and eldest sister absolved of guilt once and for all

Be happy don't worry
understood how thee feel sorry
for never defending me madam norry
(a real word meaning "woman of honor").

She (mine eldest sibling)
unfairly self burdened with blame
must jettison emotional baggage claim
forsooth (upon her person) pardon I exclaim
courtesy reasonable rhyme typed

now after LXII orbitz round the sun
able, willing and ready to relish game
of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

Upbringing gifted me
with older kin named Amelie

hashtagged after she pledged troth
said first twixt Boyce and Harriet
donned mantle of protector
trumpeting forewarnings against bullies
lest they verbally and/or physically
assault puny socially withdrawn brother.

Later  existence (mine) witnessed unbridled wrath
more'n half my lifetime, a long time ago
hurled at greased lightning speed at yours truly
dealt Matthew Scott Harris
one after another severe psychological blow

they did viciously crow
and spew expletive laced ultimatums

For Just a Split Second--- Then Poof Gone

Here as time
as we know it
everything is
going so fast
one moment... here
then next...
poof.... tis gone
Nothing lasts..
Except for Eternal Life
With Our Savior Jesus Christ

I must say...
As I had seen
Your sweetness coms...
Heart shining with Love
Beholding charm..
Sweet as Sunshine
To my heart from yours
As mine expresses tis same...

then as I had another write
went to post.. it tonight
but then poof... it was gone..
my write of "My cup runneth over"
the one your sweetness
 commented Tender heartedly
upon my heart...
Sweet treasures
now tis... within my mind
of What you said...
to my heart...me...
for that split-second of time...

For just a Split second...
Tis all it takes...
Moments are gone..
For some shall be
their fatal mistake..

For Now tis time
Please those who not know
Jesus Christ
Time is now
To ask Him into your heart
Into your lives

Come please those who not know
Please come to Jesus for He
It The Way... The Truth.. The Life
The Only way to go..
Jesus is the Giver of Life
Come be Born-again...
Before this split second of time
            is

                Poof...
                         Gone...

Where are going to be for Eternity???
When your Time runs out here on Earth

Here We Go Poof

Here we go poof
(From China with love)

I remember kids in America
at the Bank of America
in their baggy pants, baseball hats,
   tee-shirts.
There was snow on the mountains
   clouds in-pressing to get over
   dust the sagebrush with snow.
For the life of me, I think
   it was their shouting which
held back or drew the clouds.
They on their skateboards
   taking turns with trick jumps
   over the sign:
      Absolutely no
      skateboarding
       or rollerblading
As if the freakish haiku of the admin made it tru…
There was more I would say but time’s up.
You remember Tiananmen, won’t you?
They are here now. So long.

So long Huang Qi.
The Tao that can be spoken of
is not the Tao which is.

               Just off McCarren some November
               (and all those miles away)

Poof

Need your problem to disappear,
make that irksome trouble magically go away
Just say the word and it's done ...
Poof!
... like smoke vanishing from the barrel of a gun
Ms. I-Don't-Know-Her-Name is the person you need
How do you find her? Honey, please!
She'll find you ... provided you have something interesting,
something challenging for her to do
She'll fix your problem,
she has a solution guaranteed
Leave your name and number
in the classified section of the Dark Net Metro Times
Put: "Need roof and fireplace fixed" as the opening line
Then in a day or two, you'll get a call,
asking if Fauntleroy is at home ...
don't bother wondering who that is, just answer the phone
That sultry voice you're sure to hear will be her
Follow the instructions she gives to the letter,
the less you know about her, the better
It's gonna be a public place she sends you to
You won't see her face, but she most certainly will see you
But try not to look suspicious, whatever you do
Place the envelope on the ground face down,
walk away slowly and don't look around
If she doesn't take your case,
then said envelope will be returned,
leaving you to solve the problem on your own
If however, she decided to take your case ---
once payment is received surreptitiously,
then a week later, your problem will be gone
Poof!
With no questions asked,
or it could be you getting put in a black body bag

Poof I Was Born a Star Not For Contest

Form which I came from a black hole bright and shinning down on this world you stand upon, I see the ocean glittering back my light through it’s waves reflecting off this moonlit night, your wish I hear although faint it has reached me bouncing off another star, yet be assured I hear you. Your wish I have received and I have sent it to the one who created me the one above me. Your wish for love will be answered a new house or car I give you no promises for you are wishing for things I cannot give, I light the night for all to see we are here watching over the, so wish upon me and I will give you a love, for that will always be.
