Shrouded in dark purple cloak
I behold your languid gaze
Tears glisten on your face
Heart with poignant passion filled

When the fire of Autumn fills limbs of trees,
And the covering light frost comes around.
I still remember a summer's wet leaves,
And your footprints fading in its soft ground.
Seasons distant now, though once fresh and new.
A memory faint of our love remains.
The ever haunting silhouette of you,
As you disappeared in the falling rains.
Should we meet again, if for a moment,
To gaze into life's eyes where time unfolds,
And relive each breath when bodies were spent,
Finding hunger from love crossed all thresholds.

  Can time capture a dream that once glistened?
  Can we hear beating hearts if we listened?

The Poignant Death of a Beautiful Dream

Her seemingly happy dream was killed before it was born
Flabbergasted she is by the shattering response you have shown
You believed the stalker and left her with tears in the phone
I could never imagine that your heart is as hard as a stone
You listened to those rumours and lies, but couldn’t hear her heart tone
For you she is but a phoney, but without you she is dying alone
She became a recluse and in the sea of her tears she is thrown
She is shambling along in a tumult of agony. My heart, my heart she moans
 And she is no longer the empress who was to wear the crown
She packed up her things; it’s her last day here. She is leaving the town
Leaving your memory forever;
Toward an unknown direction, without a compass she is wandering alone
Was that a real judgment, or it was just an excuse to let her down?
Ever thought about the pain you caused, to an innocent lady; who loves you alone?
I know you bear a grudge against her and without her you’re so fine.
 You once vowed: ‘I’ll be there for you”, but the way u left her was so malign.
  Best wishes of an effulgent future; with another one your life will surely shine.

(Combo Mixed Verse Forms**)

Dark canopy, skyline deep black;
Morn suddenly flings radiance back.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Dawn hurls
Fiery outburst;
Shadows flee

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Sparrow bird song, balcony choir;
Arise to morn with fresh new eyes;
Psalm sweet and strong, salutes day's sire;
Purge thoughts forlorn, explore new highs.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Awake
Aware now
Feel bold endow
Wakefulness enlightens
Feeling

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Feel
Thought
Feeling
Touch once more
Surging whirlpool tracks
Going around mulberry bush

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

So here we glow
Around the swirls;
Churn fast and slow
In world that twirls.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Be of good cheer for love stays near
To deny fear that tempts us here.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Look up and see truth and beauty;
See what must be joy laid plenty;
See things fondly with ecstasy.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Listen now,
A voice calls
From deep within;
Style takes a hint,
Fill your blank page.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Flash of new day in a spreadsheet;
Plus or minus is but a choice;
Do what you say with your cheat sheet.

Know your finest in style of voice;
Smart works kindest in street-smart poise!

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

Ask and align
See sensuous signs
Keepsake knows kind

Pungently Poignant

PUNGENTLY POIGNANT (STRONG & EMOTIONAL)

I am from the Mississippi Delta where cotton use to grow.
	I am a codified bonified mind that way sets the flow.
When Hurricane Katrina hit, the vibes of so-called power were felt.
Crossing the Mississippi River was a manifold shown.

I went to the North to discover self.
I gain knowledge and intellect.
They say the ways of the oppressed man was embedded by King, Jr.
Who went to West to learn Gandhi’s concept!

	Oprah Winfrey visited his slums.
Where she was greeted as a great one.
She walked through the City at night.
Gaining her insight as sums of sums.

You see the Northern region of the U.S. desires the prophecy that man bought via
        enslavement.
        The time of servitude and bondage.
Today the power struggle cover is iniquity.
A paved path of emplacement is the European man statement.

X marks my footsteps said 101 Black Man of the Delta President.
He is a statue of political etiquette.
He hides behind a culture of low-downiness.
He broadens my world as the bawdiest *****.

	We all family out.
	What do we talk about?
	The systematic discrimination happening in our lives.
	To conclude, family and friends is how we socialize.

If you want to know how this lineup.
I will see you in stance as a home front hand-cuffed.
Get your house in order.
Your blood does not provide a hidden culture of defiance.

Poignant Passage

Twisted trail of opportunities
to grow, progress, change,
to gain lifes' meaning.
Adversity builds character,
a character once proclaimed
after learning all their pain
was past, as grist for a mill.
Past?
Past to ... bread?
When life hands you lemons
and you make lemonade,
do the nickels mean more than those
thrown in the hat of the corner beggar?
Better to give than receive is said
as lifes' curtain comes crashing
upon the dead and our collective ... why?
as an eye to write it all
pretends to the realm of poetess
feeding a need that will surely furnish
the landfills of today
or the cyberspace of tomorrow
and tomorrows' tomorrow.
Only a distant bird
passing by drifting clouds
holds a promise of meaning
in this madness.

A Poignant Question

What will endure in 20 years time.

Poignant Haiku

spring dream
a rooster stirs the stillness
into dawn

distant hill
a river carrying
the spring

rolling out
of the rice fields –
remaining snow

spring’s end
my infant fingers
the fallen petal

sun bath
an eagle circles
the day moon

autumn dawn --
mother serves white rice
on an almond leaf

autumn sky
patches of twilight
in the falling leaf

Sound of Nothingness

Grow in silence,
That I call a reliance;
In that no one will choke
And break my heart like a joke .
It picks me up from the mess;
Sh! Hear the nothingness.

An escape from the raucous world,
And the stories which are themselves curled.
Imagination thrives in it;
Where the soul feels a certain grit.
It gives a meaning to the esse,
Sh! Hear the nothingness.

Silence has a lot to say
And shows an unerring way.
It holds answers,
That are as right as lancers.
It makes the erroneous situation redress;
Sh! Hear the nothingness.

It makes a person ablaze,
For 'tis more poignant than a phrase.
Silence is often misconceived as an uncanny situation;
In truth it's a peaceful combination.
It offers calmness and makes the hassle less.
Sh! Hear the nothingness.

Some thinks that 'tis traumatic,
While some thinks that it's erratic;
But though 'tis full of hope and not a runnel,
Verily it's like a light at the end of the tunnel.
It's like an ocean that's serene and pulls me from distress;
Sh! Hear the nothingness.

Premium Member Boxes Set High

A chorus of boxes hums tonelessly on high rafters
where unwieldy boxed and stocked memory realms
squirm under drowsy dust just beyond my sight’s reach.

On my journey, family, romantic loves, places
and friends have deeply dipped me twisted
then spun in bleary pieced feeling conditions
that time tossed dark-shelved from my vision.

But around does come moments of poignant grabs
that hoist me thru the dust to see a memory touch
and as I sit or lie with it, it seeps my depths inside of it.

Dawn sings brightly;
Thrill in sure spill

Darkness flees;
New insights hurl

Breezy feel
Bamboo pines sway;
Memories collide

Killing, willing, birthing;
Change is king

God dreams of you
Thus you are here;
A fresh transit

Pointedly poignant points portend pointillism.
Pontiffs pontificate pointless pointers ponderously.
Pompous poems populate Pompei pottery potently.
Porous *********** portrays Portuguese porta potties.
Poppies pop Popeye’s popular popcorn.
Populist populism pots ponies properly.

Blithering blather blots bloody bleeping blips.
Bloomberg blogs bleach bleating bloated blinks.
Bluebloods bloom black blackberry bloopers.
Bluetooth blizzards blame blurry blackboards.
Blithe blighted bladders blatantly block blades.
Blazing blasts bleed blooming blenders.

Fumbling fumes funerals fast.
Feuding fluid furniture flutters flaps.
Fighting flatulent flamingos flounder.
Floating flotillas flee flying flops.
Families foment future futile forms.
Freaky frozen French fries frighten frogs.

Premium Member Poignant Gaze

Dewy grass bed
Wait for sunrise;
Kissing goodbye

Sparrow choir
Sings chirpy psalm;
Unrehearsed splendour

Joy of morning
Aura of magic;
Blessing the earth

By winding footpaths
Butterflies flutter;
Flower promenade

July wears colours
Sparkling and grand;
Hot sun teasing

My window view
Tells a fragrant tale;
Eyes soak the sights

Joy wears a gaze
Radiant with zest;
Smiles sparkle

Take a quick stroll
Greet sleepy neighbour;
Breakfast takeaway pack

Time looms large
With calm retirement;
So much undone

Day time dreaming
Impose new feelings;
Doing nothing

Excursion to nowhere
Time is no luxury;
We got a lot

My darling and I
In poignant gaze;
Years now a maze!

Self-talk heals
All sorts of unease;
Keep focus positive

Old age intrudes
Upon the present;
Punctures young moods

Pursuit of happy
In insane world;
So much suffering

I remind me:
Live just one day;
One day at a time
