Plain Jane blew her wishes
down a wishing well
Lit long white bless'ed candles
dipped in holy water
Brackish
Crocodile tears from Hell
Witches hold hands together
Stand united
show and tell
Plain Jane
knows her subjects inside out
Sisters plain and simple
holding hands

GOD
Wondrous of many blessings.
Smiling never a frown.
My prayers, Lord, are suddenly being ignored.
I've taken a tumble of fallen down
Lord, my life was plain and simple
How did it come to this?
Lord, now I carry a burden so deep
A torn up life not easy to fix
Hard to get my prayers before I sleep
Bleeding only internally!
Feeling very minutely!
God, have you deserted me or is it me who deserted you?
God, my Lord, my savior, how could you abandon me?
Must I drown in my own sorrow?
Must I wake up like this today and tomorrow.
Why have you left me, or is it me who left you?
God, I need you like never before.
When I wake up,
When I head out the door.
Tormented in a mood ring of stock
Heavily my tears hit the floor.
God, do you not feel me, or is it me who no longer feel you?
God, what is your plan for me?
What things did I not see?
I asked for you to forgive me in my ways of sin.
Why do you let him provoke me?
Lord, I forbid for him to win.
Relieve me from his gutless pain.
God, do you not believe me, or is it me who no longer believe in you?
God, do you not hear my call
My pitiful excuses make me weak and small
In your eyes, I no longer feel tall
I remain cursed in every single fall
Lord, only you can break this wall
Do you not see me on my knees
Must I beg and crawl?
I am at your mercy, crying out with grief
Open the path to the lighted hall
O' Lord, the day you judge me before your throne
Please tell me it was a lesson for me to stand up on my own
God for now I will end this talk
With the dignity to never look back
I ask if you were there on my endless journey of a relentless walk?

Indigo, not black, nor brown
not one or tother, coffee ground
It’s plain and simple, the eye to see
like winter’s bark on maple tree
I’m indigo, in mood and skin,
to be this colour is no sin
So to my friends of red and yellow,
just chill out, it’s cool to mellow
It was the end of the job
a big do for everyone concerned
they who were invited
We were the last standing on the site
today was our last day working
got a big lump of money
with a fat bonus thrown in for my loyalty
It was held in the city center
food and everything was laid on
Stayed for a while had four beers
ate loads of the best beef stuffed myself
I had just worked twelve hours
really felt very tired after a long day
hailed a taxi as one always done when paid
felt a lot safer as my brother was mugged three times
in the underground ubhann I was done once dumped for dead
jumped in the car just fell asleep exhausted
next thing I remember him wakening me up
shaking me quite hard done this trip hundreds of times
Always landing at my door looking around
not the strangest sights that meet my eyes he says I am home
Almost having a heart attack he demands money for the fare
I have not a clue were here is taking me
then he starts grabbing for me saying if I do not get out he will
get the police so I got out he tried to run over me
could hear the sirens in the distance so I ran
just because I was illegal in the country at the time
now they are trying to do me nearly twenty years later
on micky mouse charges brought up against me
this is the only story I know he never dropped me home
so I never paid him plain and simple in my eyes
this is my sworn word in testimony if not in this life
I will be smiling if you reach the gates
have you felt the pain and suffering this has put my family through
no one ever has luck in dis honesty
I heard this on television
One-line of a narration
One-line so plain and simple
It filled me with expectation
The words quoted
I wish I had wrote
A-line that resonated
Bringing understanding and hope
I never thought Evil existed
I thought things
Were either Good or Bad
Evil I resisted
Then as I became older
Things started to go awry
The realization that Evil
Is always standing by
Ready to attack the vulnerable
Or give a helping hand
To any of their followers
With their Narcissistic plans
I've wandered off, as I often do
From the line of the narrator
This is only my point of view
I am just a spectator
The opposite of LOVE
Is not Hate, INDIFFERENCE was the quote
What an interesting concept
We all should take note
INDIFFERENT people have no feelings
For anyone but self
Interest means INVOLVEMENT!
And sharing their precious PELF!
This does not make EVIL
Any better or worse
They are both deplorable
Both share the same SATANIC CURSE!
EVIL causes devastation and FEAR!
It's TANGIBLE, at times you think you can
SMELL, TASTE and HEAR
It's PRESENCE ever near
EVIL creates feelings
Palpable and real
Narcissistic people are INDIFFERENT
To how other people FEEL
Sung to the great single: "Loves Me Like A Rock." from There Goes Rhymin' Simon. (1975.)
(Half heard :)
The camera's got to be rolling, man. It's got to be rolling... Gospel Chorus: “ Ahhwoo…
Well, I'm running, yes I am. (Running, yes, he is!)
And I'm asking all of you. (Asking all of you.)
Now tell me, are you? ( Are you?)
Are you better than you were before? (Much Bet-ter than before.)
My opponent's had his chance. (He has had his chance.)
And I'm here to tell you straight and true
He's failed you. He's failed you.
He'll stand there and say I'm wrong
But you all know that I'm right (Yeahhh.)
It's got to be so plain and simple
That he's wrong. (Ohhh, he's wrongggg.)
So, let me promise here and now (promise here and now.)
That I'll do what I say I'll do. (Promise what I'll do.)
For I tell you people, who does (Whooo.)
Who does he think he's fooling? (Who does he think he's fooling?)
He'll tell you everything he's done. (Everything he's done.)
But if you care to look up his whole record
There's just nothing. There's nothing. (AAAhhh...)
He'll argue and scream and plead
But you just know that he is wrong. ( Ahhhh.)
The facts and figures tell his story.
That's he's just wronggg. (He’s wrong, he’s wrong.)
And if I should be elected now. (Yes, elect him now.)
The minute the people call my name. (People call my name.)
You know that I hear you! (HEARRR.)
Hear every word you're saying! (Hear every word you say!)
Just ask for anything you want! (Anything you want!)
Because I'm just a town hall a-way from you.
I hear you! I hear you! ( Yeahhh!)
I'm eager to preen and please
Because you know.. I'm here for you! (Yeahhhh.)
I represent the people truly,
I hear you! (Hears you, yes, he does.)
You all must know that I can hear you! 3x (Hears you, yes, he does!) 3x
Hear you every day and night now.
Hear you, yes I do! (Oh yes, he does!) (Repeat in staggered cadence and FADE OUT.)
(Insert Howard Dean yelp or yelps here!)
Hear you, yes I do! Hear you, yes I do! Whoop!
Hear you every night and day, now, hear you! Yes I do! (Repeat and FADE OUT :)
when the heart has gone bad and there's no blood moving about
the main organ that sustains us which we can't live without
the heart is the core and essence of each and everything
be It the church, the community, relationships or whatever life brings
Jeremiah had come along to preach about the Book of Laws
for mankind can't function in a system that has flaws
but the law is one thing and the heart is another
It's the thing that motivates our fellow sisters and brothers
If the heart is not right everything else will fall apart
so accept only those things that come from the Lord God
the heart is the one thing that the devil can't get
It's under God's control and contains the Holy Spirit
so don't put your trust in those things that are temporal
rely on the promises of God, plain and simple
when the heart is not right there's not much that you can say
all you can do is turn to Father God and then start to pray
pray that He will bless and anoint you with His mercy and grace
pray that His righteous hand will fall on you perfect in place
pray that whatever motivates your fellow Christians
comes from their heart, the essence that's within
If the heart is not right, It's time to seek The Lord
and hope everything in your life will be in accord
don't put your faith and trust in the hands of mere men
for mankind will let you down again, again and again
and whatever motivates you, let It come from your heart
allow your thoughts and actions to be spiritually smart
and be It the heart of the church, the community or your own concerns
may It be a heart of purity and goodness with the spirit to discern
lead us not oh Lord, to our own understanding
let our hearts be full of that which You are commanding
for You have given us love, power and a sound mind
so let our hearts be full of the knowledge and wisdom of God's kind
they body shame
they spew hate posts dipped
in virulent venom
vehemence for the voluptuous
crazy mad about the curves
mocking the well stocked
where do they get all the hate
wait!!!
they manufacture it
burning off calories
they work themselves into
hate hysteria
zero sized is no prize
what makes thin, in?
Beauty goes through phases
women through their crazes
must fit the body type
that's the hype
fashion famished
emaciated models
thigh gap miles wide
poking bones they can't hide
unhealthy unwell
they send the fat ones to hell
well....
big booty bullies
think they'll get away
with what they write
with what they say
they have no shame
lame...they're so lame!!
haters will hate
to give a damn?
it's too late!
Beauty isn't a size
it's in what you see with your eyes
the beauty within
is not limited
to fat or to thin
it's the size of your heart
so shut up and get smart
Listen to this big girl
Take a bow, take a twirl
Sexy unbound to size
GET WIZE!
Be Body Beauty Brave
Silence the Shamers
Give them a smile
knowing what you do
about BARE truth:
Better to have thick thighs
than thick sick minds....
Eileen Manassian
I follow Tess Holliday on Instagram and Facebook. I love that woman. It really angers me what haters write to her. Her message is simple: Big woman have the right to feel beautiful too. Plain and simple. Haters...move on!
THE CARPENTER
The carpenter was studying a piece of wood,
Thinking about designing something nice and good.
But a vision entered then into His mind
About a day He’d take some wood down roads that wind.
He chose a nail from off the shelf and lift His hand
As the details of what He’d make began to plan.
But then He thought about another nail He’d see
When He would lay upon the cross of Calvary.
You see, those long, long years He labored there
In that small shop His foster father helped to care
Were years that He kept looking on ahead
To one large cross where He’d be left alone and dead.
And when He stretched His arms at end of weary days,
The shadow of a cross He formed in evening’s rays.
The patterns that He drew with plain and simple lines
Were just reminders of the plan of God Divine.
For this young carpenter who labored hard and long
Had left a home in heaven filled with angel throngs
To bear the sins of all mankind upon the tree
That those who trust might by His stripes be free.
This carpenter was not an ordinary man;
He was the Son of God in flesh and had a plan.
He shed His blood upon the cross of Calvary
And rose again to live on high in victory.
Some day this one called Jesus Christ will come and say,
“It’s time to resurrect mankind for judgment day.”
He’ll not be coming, lengths of wood to nail and saw,
But coming to create a world without a flaw.
So while you’re busy on your job whate’er it be,
Remember that this carpenter some day you’ll see.
Can you say you are ready for this coming king
And that you’ve been found faithful here in everything?
Or will you stand in shame when He will read your fate:
Eternity in hell because it’s now too late.
You shunned His grace and tried to go some other way,
And now you’ve come to final end of life’s short day.
You have the chance while there’s still time to make your choice,
So come to Him by faith today and lift your voice.
Just simple faith in what He said and did for you--
There’s nothing hard and tedious you have to do.
And when you do, you’ll find your life has meaning new
Because you let the carpenter live there in you.
Why is she there in the street because they never understood what she meant? Life for
her is very plain and simple. But the life they want her to live is not so simple. In their
world full of lies and deceit she will probably fell afraid and alone. But she will go on she
will alone till she finds just what she is looking for. One day she shall find is then all will
know just what she meant that day in the street.
When I saw this contest
I knew I had it beat
Speaking plain and simple
is really kinda sweet
Like stealing candy, from a baby
It will be a piece of cake
They won't know, just what hit them
When I leave them in my wake
But I'm sure they'll rack their brains
And put their ducks all in a row
Hold their cards close to their chest
'cause they think their in the know
But of course, as fate would have it
I'll finish last and have a cow
while someone other than myself
Will have wrote, the cat's meow
The very softest forms
Of martial arts
Tai chi
It’s very similar to a dance.
You’re a dancer who dodges.
And aikido
for when things get a little rougher.
These seek to do no harm to a predator
To disarm with the least amount of force. This woman does aspire
Chi point strikes are more dangerous to your opponent, and fellow being.
If you choose to learn them, okay. That’s your choice.
You are always in the process of gathering tools.
It sickens me to hear of advice
Of gouging with keys
And other flimsy
means.
How are you supposed to take care of yourself?
Or worse, seeking to do the most harm with the least amount of effort
S. I. N. G.
That is not a type of “singing” I’d EVER endorse.
It boils my blood. That stupid coincidence-
That is laziness
And inability to feel empathy
Plain and simple.
“Miss Congeniality”
Sandra Bullock
She punches and beats up that man that did NOTHING.
There’s nothing congenial
about targeting someone’s genitals.
And then teased him
And everyone LAUGHED.
Who’s the sociopath now?
Or the SADIST???
If a man punched a woman anywhere
And then taunted her
You would be baying for his blood.
Like lionesses who wolf down dogs cowering
You are not that different.
You’re the same species.
Sheesh.
How can one ever describe real love
An all consuming ache for someone
A feeling that's difficult to describe in words
It defies cliches and interpretations
In reality it captures the honest simplicity
The basis of what life is about
It's the best description anyone's come up with
Plain and simple without a doubt
When it finally happens, it's never a question
Feelings deep down let's you know
That this one's a keeper so hang on for dear life
You're approaching the love plateau
Where life for the first time has real meaning
Finally everything falls into place
From that point forward true happiness reigns
Can't wipe the smile from your face
The things that seemed so important before
No longer have any urgency
Down for the count, there's no turning back
A love that lasts for eternity

I suppose struggling bards (such as I) are wont to muse
Upon profound or inane topics to propound our views.
So, it occured to me how baffling the English language could be,
To new arrivals to our shores from international potpourri.
Will he ever master the usage of to, two, tutu and too?
Should he order "coal" or "cole" slaw at his favorite rendevous?
Plane could be a woodworking tool or is it that thing in the sky,
Or something plain and simple or a plain of undulating rye?
He tries to sort out the subtleties of yawl and ya'll,
And the nuances of aunt, ant and if that ain't all,
How can he figure out the use of maul, moll and mall?
Is it a golf ball or a formal ball? 'Tis enough to make him bawl!
He must ever ponder if a yard is three feat or three feet,
And is addled about the use of peek, peak and pique.
Is a pupil a kid in class or something to do with the eye?
Buy, bi, by and bye, now what does each of those imply?
His fear is that he'll never get it write or is it rite or right?
He preys (or prays?) for deliverance from his fearful plight.
Momma mia! He's bewildered and just wants to return home,
To that Eternal City in Italy called Rome (or is it Roam?)!

The old Model T, what a great car
Henry Ford, invented it in his day
Plain and simple, a product of a wise man
Might of been slow, but would take on far
What a working man could buy on his pay
Yes Sir, that was his plan
Just good transportation to get you there and back
No fancy bells or whistles, not on that car
And he always said
"Anyone can have on, just as long as it is black"
It was not for the rich and fancy that smoked a big cigar
Mr. Ford was using his head
So when I write a verse, his philosophy I use
It is easy, just old common sense
Plain old English to tell my story
To each his own, this is the way that I choose
And that is my defense
Let the ones that use big fancy word have that glory
To this great man I give all the credit
Simple, but in an intelligent way of thinking
To where a poor man's fantasy can be reality
If he had been a poet, the way that he would have said it
Made to the working man's liking
So that is why I call mine "Model T Poetry"
