Indifference

I heard this on television One-line of a narration One-line so plain and simple It filled me with expectation The words quoted I wish I had wrote A-line that resonated Bringing understanding and hope I never thought Evil existed I thought things Were either Good or Bad Evil I resisted Then as I became older Things started to go awry The realization that Evil Is always standing by Ready to attack the vulnerable Or give a helping hand To any of their followers With their Narcissistic plans I've wandered off, as I often do From the line of the narrator This is only my point of view I am just a spectator The opposite of LOVE Is not Hate, INDIFFERENCE was the quote What an interesting concept We all should take note INDIFFERENT people have no feelings For anyone but self Interest means INVOLVEMENT! And sharing their precious PELF! This does not make EVIL Any better or worse They are both deplorable Both share the same SATANIC CURSE! EVIL causes devastation and FEAR! It's TANGIBLE, at times you think you can SMELL, TASTE and HEAR It's PRESENCE ever near EVIL creates feelings Palpable and real Narcissistic people are INDIFFERENT To how other people FEEL

Shirley, Very intriguing poem. I'm glad you shared your message of understanding and hope and the waste of life that indifference brings. -Richard

Thank you so much for your kind comment. Indifference causes lots of unnecessary pain to people and situations sadly ... Shirley
