I don't believe men and women are different if you treat someone the way you want to be treated then everything is equal, it's about respect everyone is worth respect, having said that my point dear poet was there are some men who have nor will ever reach manhood, thus my statement some of us are, grown men expect other men to treat women as equal and with respect, we all deserve that
Labyrinth Avatar
January 29, 2020 at 12:45 AM
My dear Monsieur Parker, you are one of the finest poets here, of course your manhood is never in question. I believe Men and Women are different in many ways. But I respect your take on it and I do agree, everyone deserves equality and respect. In my books, respect is a two way street - if you show respect, you should be given it back in return. However, Women and Men are vastly different in physical and emotional make up. I certainly agree with you, 'grown' men should expect other men to treat women as equal and with respect. x

You may well laugh. If they're female, we are probably in BIG trouble..."for the female of the species is more deadly than the male" - a man, a noble laureate no less wrote that, and he still saw the truth for what it is. May the force be with you. Thanks Messina.x

Are you kidding me Parker? You're all a flaming mystery...learnt by trial and error. One can only learn from one's mistakes in that arena and hopefully not continue to make the same mistake/s. Men are from Mars and Women definitely are from Venus. If there is such a thing as reincarnation and I'm sent back here to do penance again, I'd still come back as a woman.

Lt.), I guess that makes me either rather disciplined or an absolute undisciplined loose cannon.:) I wonder which you are, or the person in that photo - Army, Airforce, Marines?...Women fight just as hard as men in all fields, including war. Put them in a leadership role, in the playing field of War, it could be over real quick....one way or the other. For the Female of the Species is more deadly than the male. At ease soldier. Agh, there's beauty in all things, the plain underneath all the greaspaint, smoke and mirrors, could be rather confrontingly beautiful. If you are going to cry, my advice is never fake it, (All genders) in fact, never fake anything. Warm regards Angel of Light, the Crocodile Tear Angel running around capturing full cups from the pools of poetess' eyes, stagnantly waiting, or rippling over the edge, the tears to be converted into Love Potion No. 9 for all the plain and beautiful women standing around a flaming wishing well. Call it the chemistry of tears. Xx

ALL women have a lethal brain, they come in all shapes and sizes. Some are shinier than others, they could be plain or fully iridescent in their true power, these are the women who the other women, waiting to achieve iridescence, need to understand first, and strategically approach or network with, to plainly understand that there is no fully fathoming men, there never will be, whether a woman is plain or beautiful. Men are a complete mystery, and that is why opposites attract. The deal to understanding anyone is to read between the lines, and listen, then to approach reality empathetically. You want something, go get it, stop sitting around in a pow-wow tent ruminating over who knows best. The universe will work it all out. Always. Thanks Messina. x

Alas! I never dated or married a plain Jane. Thus I suffered so! Yet I think if I could do it over- I'd still go after the ravishingly beautiful, drop-dead gorgeous, sexy vixens! As such seems to be in my genes and my dreams of what life-love-sex and pleasure is all about. Leopard can not lose its spots. Sad but true.. Great verse my friend. A fav..

Happy New Year Swartzmeister! Shall have to go check to see if you have posted any of your super intense, highly charged poems again. You make an interesting observation. I stand by my comment to Joe DiMino below. But from a male's perspective Rudyard Kipling understood women without a doubt and has it correct on so many levels in his poem, "The Female of the Species". Whether plain or beautiful, the Chameleons are the ones to watch out for...but women won't progress rapidly, if at all, unless they think strategically and stand united. They are their best support, not the males. Love to you and yours and all the best 2020. L XX0

For ALL the witches (plain or otherwise) ....2020, is your year, grab it by the balls and run with it. For those who are past running, chill baby and still grab 'em. What you do or do not do with them, is entirely in your own hands. HNY. x

Lindley, Revert "Female of the Species", Kipling. I will always stand by the female first, this is the way I have been raised, by a single parent (father). From that upbringing, I have a rare insight and empathy for the male of the species, but nature will always bring forth the true survivors (female), for in nature, the female will always fight to survive on many levels to protect herself but more importantly her prodigy/legacy, unless she is beaten to the ground physically and emotionally by a male. It is well worth considering, not all males are lacking empathy for the female. Women can be just as hard on each other, but they need to learn to stand with each other and support, not tear each other down. x

My first two wives were witches, each one with a devious streak a mile long. Not even close to being smarter(or more educated) than I, but light-years ahead in being deviously manipulative and wickedly cunning. As such, as so many of the females are forced by the world to be, IMHO. Each one used my bring truly in love against me(a weakness they had not). I never won out until I found a way to break that chain. Such is life and oft men suffer so- yet when turning off love- a man can then truly defend himself....

Admittedly; as an artist I love physical beauty--but do not worship it. My best relationships have always been with minds and not bodies. A beautiful mind, vanquishes age, dissolves blemishes and opens one to experience truly divine enchantment. Love this little work of yours.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and true beauty, from all genders comes from within. No woman will ever know the workings of the male intelligence, no matter how they present externally to the world or gloat internally like a blowfish to their higher self. United they stand a ghost of a chance. Happy New Year DiMino. x
