~ AND THE POEM BEGINS ~
A mask, tiny holes
Breathing heavily
Dancing around my toes
Broad carbon steel
Safe behind my will
Equipment of revenge
Fencing the world with my eyes
I bow, with the morning dew,
My mind a dual in its own world.
When the curtains lift,
I prepare myself with a weapon--
Epee Crest to protect my chest
A sword sharper than fangs
I circle my blade around the door knob
Ready to face the world
Practicing --in hopes today, I won't retreat
“Fencers ready!"
ATTACK!
A magical knightress
Painted in white
"Let's dance!"
~ THE SHOW BEGINS ~
Queen Amri "VS" The Damsel
Wishing it was over
Stainless steel echoes
“Every poke counts”
Hoping & Taking
No room to disengage ---I retreat
Peacefully I secure my stance
On Guard!
I lean in, I disengage ---I flee
Back again, I lunge
The Queen is too smart to retreat
I -Amri, parry away from the argument of the lunge.
Recoil & Double tapped
In and out….. I'm struck
Boldness---
Back to the drawing board
On guard, I stand like a statue
Out of breath; feels like I'm dying
Yet I am still fighting.
The Queen knows what to do.
TODAY~
I Yield, She Wins!
Raising our foils
---At the on guard of another day
I move in swiftly, cutting like razor blades
Using refreshed energy
24 / 7
I attack, She provokes!
Sand runs its course
Victorious against the queen
Touch – tied – triumph -- Touché
Standing on my own 2 feet
I am the

I don’t want the white picket fence
I’ll take the one that’s weathered by time
Bent in a way that gives it character
Bordered by tall grass and wild thistle
You might rest your elbows on it after a long day
And smile at the sunflowers I planted
Because you know that when their yellow heads grow too heavy
They’ll have something to lean on

Where is my white picket fence?
Where is my "someday I'll have it all"?
What will it take for me to find it?
What is more comfortable though than
the soft cushion of my mind?
When I'm happy with what I've got...
When I'm all I need, no more, no less...
Why all I need to do is just build one
Why do I have to make things so complex?
How to begin from scratch and build my white
picket fence and paint it ivory white for "my someday?"
How to be happy even more without a white picket fence...
Yes, my someday is here now in the "Simplicity" of life!

This is my sunset home
Forever here I roam
I can't escape these memories
The waves that throw me in the sea
To rise above the flashback tide
To know there's nowhere left to hide
We only eat from the aimless streets
Statistics seem to see what they want us to be
Meet me here in this broken place of stone
Don't pretend to know the pain I've always faced alone
You'll never know the looks they give or laws they want to pass
You'll never feel the sobering truth; to know your heart is made of glass
It's not the hateful things they say
It's not the threats thrown in my way
Sometimes I hate myself just like they do
A life unlived full of regret will never quite be out of view
So tell me you know how this feels
Tell me again you support my cause; like you're the one spinning the wheels
Don't give me pity and offer acceptance
Be brave with me for once; get off that white picket fence

There they stand
Swords in hand
The one has crossed their line
They wait so still
Lusting the kill
The one fears his own combine
Halos on the ground
Tossed with a frown
The one can feel the climb
His nation bleeds slow
His angels a glow
With death on their mind
He failed his armada
They stand like no other
Waiting for the one to come down
He slips on his robe
They feel shock in the globe
As he floats down the steps of his cloud
Cannibals roar with hate
They cant wait to debate
As the one prepares to cross the line
He delivered his words
With a shock in his verbs
And spelled out to his crew now sublime
He promises them
To follow through his amend
And fix all that broke from his hands
As he did prepare
A sword entered his bare
And sliced him open as they stand
"Know now you will die
From the hands of your spys
As we did all the work for you
Regret so do we
For too late so we be
And the damage was done from your move"
As the one passes on
The light turns to dark
His eyes shut as he sees himself true
For he greets himself kind
For he crossed the picked line
Of the Angels that he raised as his own
Now he lays dead
As they fight for the head
Of the one that gave them life from his clone
Be prepared to die slow
Befriend no one to make sure
That your head wont roll down life's bone

Behind the posts and fancy lines,
a poetess is blue.
Her picket fence is yellowing
and hanging all askew.
~ ~ ~
Inside her barbed and wired heart,
cruel words have shut her in.
It's perfect on the outside,
but sorely hurts within.
~ ~ ~
The gate through picket fences
swings open but can close
to either bring her happiness
or keep her filled with woes.
~ ~ ~
The fence - secured - so long ago
has all but fallen down.
She tries to keep it stabilized
in spite of shaky ground.
~ ~ ~
The barricades will crumble yet
from dead and useless weight
and words can either shelter her
or impale her at the gate.
~ ~ ~
She walks away on cobbled stones
cracking beneath her feet.
Let's hope she can remember
that life's a two-way street.

Elves were on strike, it was Santas worst fear
Sick of long, late hours and forced Christmas cheer
Sick of being on shelves
What to give to these elves
When they only work one month in the year....

Limerick
Thirty feet of white picket fence,
doesn't sound that exciting.
But Oh, to see the blood red blooms,
of a Rambler at one end entwining.
In and out, it weaves its spell,
all but hiding the aged white boards.
The picket fence holds strong and true,
a trellis to the Rose it affords.
At the other end of the yard,
where the fence meets a lamp pole,
stands a lush Butterfly Bush.
Leaning on the pickets as if it were old.
A Lilac so full as to block the light,
draping clusters of flowers like grapes.
For months hiding the fence from our sight,
beneath a butterfly enshrouded cape.
Sunflowers stand tall and proud,
a stone birdbath adds rustic flair.
Against a backdrop of metered white,
vibrant colors scent the air.
The Pear tree adorns the picket fence,
with dappled shade, then Autumn leaves.
While birds alight atop worn points,
eating the ripe sunflower seeds.
Thirty feet of white picket fence,
doesn't sound that exciting.
Until you saw the one in Grandma's yard,
a tranquil scene that was so inviting.

A girls dream of love
A quest for a man
To know her every whim
And hold her held out hand
The pictures in her head
The dress, the ring, the date
Depending on the man
Why should she have to wait
The house, the dog , the kids
The white picket fence
Just like the stories read
Fifty years of hell and bliss
Till one of them is dead.

Westboro Baptist Church to Picket at Sandy Hook
By Elton Camp
“Westboro will picket Sandy Hook Elementary School to sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment,” Shirley Phelps-Roper tweeted on Dec. 15.
Westboro Baptist Church is at it again
Praising their god for punishing sin
“God is love” the Bible does say
But they refuse to have it that way
The god they worship is strange to me
The one from the Bible he cannot be
Bible: Each one for his own sins will die
To execute the innocent God won’t try
Twenty children a lunatic did kill
Did that crime give God a thrill?
A secular nation gays does tolerate
Does that bring on all God’s hate?
A theocracy the US has never been
It need not try to ban religious sin
I agree gay conduct to God is wrong
To the state its banning doesn’t belong
Yet here they come to picket a school
All will indignantly say, “What a fool”

Walking forward, gleaming back
Thoughts confuse this onward track,
Stumble headfirst, familiar pit
Advancing on to avoid this hit
Where do I stand in this great mess?
Your life is heavy on my chest,
Where do I find peace of mind?
In the arms of the divine,
It’s in the arms of the divine.
Strolling along this white picket fence,
Marching towards my recompense,
Stepping into somewhere new,
Your face a reminder of all we went through,
Treading on scorpions and snakes,
My biggest trails became miraculous breaks.

I am offended;
That you've placed me here;
Nailed upon two-by-fours;
Tacked up by metal spores;
Attached to this space;
Adhered to this place;
Picket Fence
What sense does it make;
Surrounded by natures landscape;
I walk around in pickets;
3 inches to 8 inches wide;
While in statue 6 foot to 10 foot high;
Surrounding my privacy-protecting all that be;
Picket Fence
Spiritually connected
Spiritually nail to a post
I'm attached to a host
At surrounding space
I'm in this space a fence
Surrounded by the nature of God
I'm a picket fence surrunded by Christ
