White Picket Fence

A girls dream of love A quest for a man To know her every whim And hold her held out hand The pictures in her head The dress, the ring, the date Depending on the man Why should she have to wait The house, the dog , the kids The white picket fence Just like the stories read Fifty years of hell and bliss Till one of them is dead.

'...fifty years of hell and bliss 'til one of them is dead,' WOW!! A brilliant way to end this well structured piece with rich language and images. This reminds me of the poetry of Philip Larkin... (I think you would like him.) Love, Keith
