Fruit a Peel

https://m.soundcloud.com/user-921599710/fruit-a-peel-2

Blueberries, bananas, apples that fall
Berries and pears, we love them all
Fresh rainwater, summer heat
The part of plants that we can eat

Inside the fruit, contains the seeds
Found on bushes, grown on trees
Tomato plants, of heights will rise
With soil and compost, fertilise

Seeds we scatter, seeds we sow
All around the world they grow
Celebrate at food events
Cities, countries, continents

Supermarkets, stalls be manned
Frozen, dried, fresh or canned
Varied fruits ripen with time
Fresh fruit salad, shall we dine

A complement of any meal
Fruits to blend and fruits to peel
Expectations to surpass
Blended poured into a glass

Garden fruit and fruit in tins
Daily fibre, vitamins
Large vineyards, where growers take
From tiny buds, to blossomed grape

Strawberry smoothie, raspberry jam
Tomato sandwich, cheese and ham
Assembled fruit upon the plate

Premium Member There Was a Young Lady From Peel

A voluptuous young lady from Peel
Her huge breasts she would try to conceal
So she wore baggy tops
When she went to the shops
But folks stared and asked are they real?

Banana Peel- Virelai

Felt under my heel
A banana peel
I slip
Loudly now I squeal
Like a clapping seal
I flip
A mid air cartwheel
Now terror I feel
I yip!

Need to get a grip
Sweat beads off me drip
Oh boy.
I bend at the hip
My feet now I grip
No joy
I brace, bite my lip
And land from this trip
Not coy

Was this evil ploy?
A cartoon decoy?
With zeal!
A plan I employ
Litterbug, destroy!
Big deal…
Calm down from annoy
And had a Rob Roy
Surreal.

Orange Peel

Stunted fingernails scrape back
the first slither of orange skin,
bounding a torrent of zest to spurt
into the royal keyhole of my soul,
stinging, watering - heartbreaking.

Reluctant, I remove the fruit’s shell
longing for a worthy distant aim
to splash upon an unwary significant,
instead, my citrus emotion’s reflected,
discarded, rejected - abandoned.

Eyes smarting – juice offends a single soul.
Pith concealed – surplus heart needs healing.

Layers Peel

I had a dream,
It was a nightmare.
I remember nights where,
I’d sleep.

I don’t wanna feel lonely,
it feels too real.
But if I don’t feel lonely,
Then I don’t feel.

Again my layers are starting to peel,
Which is a sad shame,
I was just starting to heal.

A Yellow Lemon Peel

When life gives you lemons
You're supposed to make lemonade
However,
My lemonade always tastes too watery
So I squeeze and squeeze the lemons
I wring them out until there's nothing left
Except for the yellow peel
Taunting me with it's "happy" color
I take a sip,
And cringe
Because now,
It is too sour

To Get To the Core, Just Peel Back the Onion

There are some who will be politically correct
Don’t step on my toes, or voice an opinion
To find what they’re saying we cannot neglect.
To get to the core, just peel back the onion!

You must look ‘neath the surface to find the truth
‘Cos what some say is not always what they think
What kind of person did the grow from their youth
Ask how did their actions bring them to this brink?

Did they do good and serve all mankind well
Or was their past filled with promises and lies?
When they were caught did they say, “Oh what the hell”
Or from their failures did they then become wise?

Politics will make odd bedfellows it seems
So vote for the one who will follow your dreams.

Time Standing Still

time is standing still
this treacherous silence makes me ill
my dreams are bleeding visions from the master of divisions
if i knelt I'm slave risen a slave knight
give me back my might this ain't divine this unfair fight
nukes and a fear that pukes
once the nobility sucks the last drop of our gullibility
oh i believe
oh i believe
but first give me something to believe
tell me when it's time to leave
look at the tower of flesh and bone
look at your one eyed mighty drone
my eyes are bleeding
where's home
she stopped to moan
it's all out of norm
this organized mess
missing one ness
oh i believe
oh i believe
have you seen the Wailing stone
they're frying our flesh and bone
piles of bodies high to the sky
and we dare not ask why
your temptations
our tribulations
peel off this rotten civilization
maybe we'll reach realization
i slept
i woke in debt
a slave into your lizard hole i crept
it's raining pain
and it's going insane
too numb to feel pain
now look at the peeled horizon
my trap door is calling i hope the right size is on
my eyes are bleeding
my heart is weeping
I'm way past your hologram
I'm bored with glowing anagram
my soul isn't for sale
mutiny and them pseudogods pale
our time has arrived we'll make our trail
oh i believe
oh i believe
everything i see is to dicieve

Peel It Off ---

Peeling an onion,
Remainder-nothing but tears
layers of resentment
