Best Out Of The Woods Poems
You lost yourself
Thought everything is hopeless
Find your soul in the woods
Where there is darkness
Chased by creatures at night
Drowned in the water
Died in the infinite cold
There at the strange woods
Trying to find yourself
But you are chased by nightmares
Can’t even move on
Because you just lose yourself
In middle of moving on
There is a fire burning
A sudden hush of avalanche
But in the end there is hope
A way out from misery
A way out from pain
A way out from isolation
A way out of the woods
I once, went hunting...for mallard ducks
I got skunked, said- "boy, this really sucks"
I over heard a reindeer
Say to herself- "I do swear"
It's the last time, I do that...for two Bucks

A long, long time ago, three children met
this old, gentle lady in an ancient farm,
bidding them to enter her large kitchen
with a sweet flavor of gingerbread and ale...
Beside her , a huge, dark rabbit jeered
as the children merrily romped along.
From where she stood, the lady began
looking like a dingy hag with a pointed jaw,
and warty despicable face. Oh, no! She was
the village hag crackling with delight as her
quaked hands pulled and dragged the kids
in a rush … “ Come along, Kent, Iris, Lynn”,
whisking the youngsters toward a boiled pot.
Suddenly, at the height of terror, one jolting
kick burst the door open. A large giant
of a man howled.” Now, listen, I am
the rabbit under a spell that quickly seized
a magic potion from the crone’s hidden kiln.”
With a blow, he crushed the evil witch
then gathered the kids in his arms.
Under the red of moonlight, three children
and a lumberman hummed their way
out of the woods… victorious finally free!

Eve Roper’s Fairy Tale For Children Contest
Sam came out of the woods today,
With his hair and his eyes looking so gray,
The gray of the walls were full of moss,
He stood in the sun and looked so ill
Walking up the wooded valley and wooded hill.
He stood in the western wind, pipes in hand,
On a height of naked pasture land;
With all the countries he did command
Warm raindrops softly embrace his face,
Leaving naked soul to heal.
Inside his heart he only saw pain,
He knew one day there would be peace,
Trying so hard not to go insane
Homeless children with clicking heels,
Seeing so little they have no meals.
He tossed his pipes, so far he couldn't reach,
Into a new world too hard to teach,
Hearing the sign of the blue warbler screech
The whimpering of the kestrel sat behind the sun,
Taking in the music before going on the run.
Times have changed from the past,
Pipes held less power, making them unable to last,
Juniper full of fruited bough
The fragile blue clustered air we breathe,
Such aimless sign of relieve.
Wheels of life dangle from delicate branches
Sway in the wind and embrace in quiet caress
I used to be an acorn
Now I am a tree
Seasons coloured in outside their softened contours
Green yellow orange and red waiting for indigo crowns
Roots' undergrowth found respite in terra firma
Yet loose soil and carbon compose the journey
The forest shadow speaks 'Give me strength'
'I will give you light in return for the favour'
A wild boar rattles the mossy trunk
Starlings weave in its canopy
Little saplings have flown their moderate nest
Replanted my meaning in miraculous flight
Wild winds blew hard rain
Strew reincarnated shelter
Where ferns sought refuge a union takes places
Made in a haven of nature's heavenly abode
And time meanders past back and beyond
For the poet tree in motion I wish to become

When your roots are uprooted
And your rose is dethorned
And your seed is aborted
Before it's been born
Don't is just kill you
For a while it was good
When you thought that just maybe
You were out
You were out
You were out of the woods
The saplings in darkness
Wave on morning's thrushes
They know their sap sickens
When eternity hushes
Don't it just kill you
I thought for one moment
The system was calm
No nomenclature
Could make up for the bomb
But sometime past midnight
The sky opened up
The angels lay dripping
Their perfect eyes shut
Don't is just kill you
For a while it was good
When you thought that just maybe
You were out
You were out
You were out of the woods
They may back down
but then he'll continue underground
Exploding and exporting
His ATOMIC means are hanging around
A chip on his shoulder as the winter gets a little colder
the lessons of before still not learned from threats still at our door
The only dream as Kim still needs to caress his Nuclear machine
Man!are we the liar or just a worn out Nation crier
Stupidity is all we know as crisises come as fast as the ocean flow
Norman Rockwell is not today's painter that would picture society
as a species violent hater
The wit of one's madness in poking fun of little dweebes
Without realizing that they may carry out their threatened WW III deeds
How can we let go when the other worried foes wants to exploit by force to show
Mother Nature is a helpless spectator in all this BULLSH-T!!
When without really ever looking, the next minute we could very well get hit
Time is ticking with every world power's finger on that button or lever
When I turn on to the National Emergency Broadcast System
One lone voice will utter:I'M SORRY FOLKS,IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!
Little Children will lie in the streets,in ashes and remnants
Because our society has already paid the inevitable penance
No teddy bears in the wood,
Mummy bear forbids it,
As all good mothers should.
How do you explain
To a young teddy bear
that danger lurks,
In woods everywhere.
Why should adults
And all that is sane
Have need to explain,
It is a crying shame
It takes away their innocence,
And makes them suspicious and wary,
The woods where they loved to play,
It's becoming frightening and scary.
So don't go down to the woods today,
As you may get a big surprise,
The person that you meet there,
May be the cause of your demise!
