Out of the Woods

Wheels of life dangle from delicate branches Sway in the wind and embrace in quiet caress I used to be an acorn Now I am a tree Seasons coloured in outside their softened contours Green yellow orange and red waiting for indigo crowns Roots' undergrowth found respite in terra firma Yet loose soil and carbon compose the journey The forest shadow speaks 'Give me strength' 'I will give you light in return for the favour' A wild boar rattles the mossy trunk Starlings weave in its canopy Little saplings have flown their moderate nest Replanted my meaning in miraculous flight Wild winds blew hard rain Strew reincarnated shelter Where ferns sought refuge a union takes places Made in a haven of nature's heavenly abode And time meanders past back and beyond For the poet tree in motion I wish to become 24th December 2019

Thank you Silent One for your praise. The tree keeps on growing. A bit worse for wear and therefore better I hope. Many kind wishes to you, Kai
