Best Opaline Poems
Eventide’s misty winds gently oscillate
Colorful clusters of crepe-myrtle flowers
Crowning atop rows of elegant tree-trunks
Blooms lavender, pink, red, and purple
Hanging in air from tips of twigs slender
Bowing to earth, donning green foliage
Arrayed in symmetrical flower-bouquets.
On a summer stroll, my hand you hold,
Gazing rhythms tilting back and forth
Swaying gracefully symphony of colors
As synchronized whispers merrily rustle
Echoing intentions of doting twilight sun
Beholden to season's gift of blossoms.
Gales now swirl, petite petals disperse,
Whirling confetti, drifting dances aerial,
Sprinkling fine motifs of tinted splendor
Twisting, turning, in eve’s amber passion
Flying all over, as we gaze, wooing love,
Where violet-sky above artfully evokes
Opaline glimpses of dreams ephemeral
Inscribed in spectrum on crimson horizon.

In realm of love, you are the awe of mystique~
Musings of smitten soul, passions bespeak,
When glances romantic lure enamored night
To dance of fantasies moonlit revelries ignite
Waltzing with stars scintillating opaline skies,
As smiles endearing emanate from your eyes
Beaming missives esoteric, vying to explore,
Secrets of heartbeats extolling echoes of yore,
Adulating present as tomorrow’s dream soar
To domains heavenly, croons of love implore,
Infatuated by aroma your redolent vibes impart,
Abloom in elixir of the rose inside my heart.

Reject not sweet musings memories evoke
Extolling elation our passions amplified
Assuage the fervid hints emotions stoke
That eternal vows once callously denied
Let bygones fade away on skyline bright
When your smile scintillates opaline skies
Being my delight of Venus every night
Blazing flame of desires glinting your eyes
“Share the hopes within you still
And hold the dreams that in you reside
Invite a kiss from parted lips
And trace the paths where hearts abide”
Awaken your impulses reveries fantasize
As nightmare of yore in womb of dawn dies
And ambiance of day, aspirations surmise
Where sparkles of amethyst glisten sunrise
Savor again missives your feelings confide
As pleadings of hearts doting souls revive
Let whispers of yearnings be your guide
While blossoms of romance fervently thrive
Entrust me your voice, music of my choice,
Strumming evermore rhythms of your song
In concert of my beats, it is you I rejoice
Pulsing my heart where forever you belong

Breezing purple vibes of nocturnal delight
Eventide’s afterglow blushes sanguine night
As leaves chromatic swirl, waltzing to alight
Bestowing gilded motifs on dreamy sight
Sprinkling ebullience on meadows aglow
Exuberant in celebration of celestial show;
Where crescent moon adorns opaline skies
Staging dancing stars for enchanted eyes
As constellations choreograph stellar art
Enthralling intimations of enamored heart
Embracing invitation of amorous dreams
Enticing sweethearts’ passionate themes.
Farther in distance, ocean ebbs and flows
Strumming rhythms cresting-tides compose
As together we rejoice gift of nature’s glee
On a leisurely walk, meandering carefree,
Tranquil in tease of zephyrs flirting along
Indulgent in euphony of nightingale’s song.
Hosting quietude we amble miles and miles
Adorning happiness glinting vigor of smiles
Engaging revelry, shedding travails of day,
Lauding harmony gracing nature’s pathway,
Purposefully musing in wonderment of time
Thrilling glamor of beauteous night sublime.

How fondly he recalls when doting moon stared
Blush of her radiant smile gleamed opaline skies
While cuddling stellar vibes love they declared
And embracing her allure he venerated his prize.
In womb of romantic night passions-grand aired
Exchanging fervent vows, longing dawn of sunrise,
When revealing prurience every intention bared
In rhapsodic titillation euphoric feelings surmise.
Alas! soon emotions hid—dispiritedly impaired
When blissful times saddened hearing her cries
As souls, deceptively beguiled, no longer cared,
Silence between them grew stoking sullen guise,
For rise of whimsical day, woefully unprepared,
Shadowed glamorous arc, deeming fate unwise,
And upon sanguine horizons stygian storms flared
As the pledges of forever, destiny chose to revise.
She pleaded to forget the love they once shared,
Its flame was extinguished by whim of disguise;
Dreams they dreamt could no longer be repaired
Once the spark of aspirations abandoned her eyes.
Suppressions of emotions left them bereft, unpaired,
As lovelorn inhibitions roared, to spell their demise
Exiting prized fervor, forsaking dreams unrepaired,
Trapping unrequited love-vibes where passion dies.

Hoisting passions fervid, probing celestial height,
Hypnotized we stood, enthralled in smile of June,
Caressing dreams flirtatious of a romantic night,
Reaffirming love, beneath the strawberry moon.
Pulsing beats heavenly, fantasies esoteric chased,
Thrilling realm of love, resonating deep in your heart,
Content in your embrace, as memories intimate traced,
Echoes of promises eternal, forever vows impart.
Seeing you rejoiced, snuggled in my loving arms,
Nary a cloud dared to encumber cerulean skies,
As you navigated sight through opaline sea of stars
Tantalizing flame of passion, sparkling doting eyes,
Having been wooed by mystical glimpse of Luna,
Proffering blush of aura, tantalizing romance,
Bedecking tints orange upon luminous rosy awe
Seducing stance-entranced of enamored glance,
Gazing with throbbing hearts, where desires croon,
Hypnotized we stood, enthralled in smile of June,
Humming melodies, in sync with the celestial tune,
Reaffirming love, beneath the strawberry moon.
Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air

Cherish the moments, rising on fabric of fuchsia skies,
Painting motifs of amber dawn, dipped in golden sunrise,
In brushstrokes mauve, tinted pink, on opaline skyline;
Where themes heavenly with dreams of morn entwine.
Ride path of sun’s trajectory, soak-in aureate sunshine,
Be amid nature’s mystery, sky-scapes of mystical design;
Rejoice the day, in its prime, revel life’s moments sublime,
Before they wither away, falling prey to reign of time.
Sail the blue waves, synchronize with rhythms of sea,
Undulating with inspiration of tides, vying shores of glee,
Ruminating of paradise, afloat on resplendence, carefree;
Blissful, hearing robins sing, watching butterflies spree.
Be hypnotized, on cusp of twilight, inhale the wild air,
Pulsating from hearts of trees as winds westerly blare;
Be the moment chiming, strumming tenor of breeze,
Snuggling rosy delight, caressing eve’s blush of tease.
Extolling arc of crimson horizon, lost in sun’s goodbye,
As day-decaying beautifies aura, in shades of magenta dye,
Capture the moments blazing fire, ceding to moonlight,
Dipping in the ocean, dispersing glimmer of ruby delight.
R a i n ~ a misted mirror
coated in petrichor pain ~
fused with memories
pirouetting through the
veiled salt of the earth,
caressing the Pina Colada dreams
adrift in the icy-blue air,
amidst clouds soaked
in prismatic hues ~
arching like opalescent canopies,
to hide the despair I’ve draped
in dragonfly hues that no one knows
but the moon and his
merciful silver, forever stroking
the silken surface of s i l e n c e ~
homed within my
heart that aches…
And along with the thunder ~
came confetti of scars,
a piercing flash of metallic truth
revealing midnight rays
of how I’ve long been the storm ~
a murky sky of cracked constellations,
a rush of roaring torrents,
driving my thoughts to the honed
borderline of tremors and torture ~
teetering on forsaken fragility.
O dahlia dawn ~
I am the splitting tempest,
the spectral outline of
electrified lightning.
I taste the bittersweet flavors
of opaline stars ~
trembling in angst,
as fleeting sparks of the buried past,
too, feel the hurt beneath
the pansies of paradise,
where angels unfurl their
wings, sprinkling tears of hope
upon the battlefield of
shattered dreams,
lamenting the endless war
that burns in the olive-green
orchard of the grief-struck mind,
where fairy-lights
flicker neon hints of
prejudice through broken twigs ~
a pitiful perception,
amplifying the echoing embers
floating above puddles
of weathered lilies,
stained with dust and powder,
weaving a requiem for the
f a l l e n jewels,
walking through the trails
of bruises and tilted tulips,
bleeding poetry ~
beautified with
polychromatic phrases
and falcon ink that cuts
through paper promises,
leaving nothing but a restless reverie,
breathing in the quivering
warmth of quietude…
Oh! how gracefully the trees, flaunting splendor lilt
Swaying autumn’s palettes in rhythms of winds ruby
As the sun is setting, flaming glow of gamboge skies
Amber breeze is blushing rosy glimmer of eventide
And robins are excavating pecking on decaying lawn
Where ducks are ambling, ogling seductive bond
Amid people strolling, pausing to gaze at opaline arc
Floating crimson filaments on tinted purple canvas
Enhanced by falling colors whirling mellowed vibes
In twilight’s golden ambiance alluring romantic eyes
Gleam of eve’s fading, ceding reign to peeking moon
As scent of you appeals, quiescently enveloping me
Enchanting where I sit, under twinkling stellar magic
Enticed by euphony of mockingbird’s sensuous song
Articulating for me eloquently, love is never too far
When autumn blazes passions titillating lovers’ hearts

YOU ...
are a mystery, a spellbinding novel
each new chapter more enigmatic than the last
I read you with my fingertips
pausing to regard the inches, to savor each
like a meaty word that I turn over in my thoughts
in careful consideration ... of its flavor
with the gentle brush of my palm
one precious span of your opaline flesh is added unto the next
inch linked to dynamic inch ...
like the flowing, voltaic sentences of a master wordsmith
the journey of each phrase of your contours
bespeaks to my core a torrid tale of longing, pure ...
a hunger to delve ever further into the sultry, shapely, sinewy saga
that your alluring body whispers to me -
whispers and sighs, with its subtle, spicy shivers
to realize the destination of this epic journey
to unravel the mysterious and beguiling narrative
that your anatomy conveys to my core
the sublime, licentious and seductive story that is ...
YOU.

Greet the sanguine dawn’s mauve sunrise,
A crimson pizzaz blushing opaline skies
Where eagle flies questing higher highs
Thrilling endearing vibes of enamored eyes
In sparrow’s glance, in cardinal’s dance
In the call of passion, in trill of romance.
Feel the gentle tease of buoyant breeze
And rhythms lilting on blossoming trees
As resplendence extols nature’s appeal~
White-blooms scintillating magnolia’s zeal,
Blazing red-peonies, flaming gold-daffodils,
Glint panorama glistening verdant foothills.
It’s the bubbling spirit of burbling stream
It’s budding impulse of meadow’s dream
It’s passionate horizon of magenta gleam
It’s the dawning aspiration of sunlit beam
It’s colorful ballet of splendiferous theme
It’s heavenly spring of earthly daydream.
Hear sweet songs of love strumming air,
Seductive melodies wafting everywhere
As birds hop, waltz, frolic, sing, and play
Serenading welcome to a beauteous day
Warbling verse of joy, trilling “cheer, cheer”
Oh! the spring is here, the spring’s here!

Awestruck in its grandeur, acquiescing to mystic of refulgence up high,
Exalted I feel, lauding designs iridescent, upon sapphire blue sky;
As I listen to birdsongs, reverberating missives of sensuous eventide,
Reminiscing in titillation of love, wishing you were here, by my side.
Rippling currents strum, rhythms of river rushing, burbling nearby,
When flocks of birds glide above, swooping and swirling, as they fly;
Where decaying-day dons amber dye, as it slows the reign of time,
Glinting aureate themes of twilight, blushing reveries of eve sublime.
Cotton clouds on opaline fabric, embellish crown of mountain peak,
As sunbeams waltz, with twirling leaves, playing hide-and-seek;
To music of whispers-soft, emanating from tender melodies of breeze,
In sync with mood of eve-romantic, dancing with the rustling trees.
Vying enlightenment of self-actualization, I lie in quietude, supine,
Harboring instincts of erudite mind, dwelling in teachings divine;
Subjugating thoughts unwise, as fuchsia tinges dot magenta skyline,
Where dream-scapes of you and I, on rosy arc of dusk entwine.
Beckoned by your presence-seductive, beaming an esoteric smile,
Your silhouette in yonder revels, flaunting allure of feelings fertile;
Where together we rejoice realms of stars, blissful under moonlight,
As, Venus, the goddess of love, confers upon us a romantic night.
Painting You
Before painting, I first sketch you
In my mind’s eye…To compose
The lines, shapes, shadows and lights,
That work altogether to form a semblant sight
Of you for any relative, friend or acquaintance…
Next, I embrace the required courage
To face the blank canvas; to dip my brush
In sublime tones for my wild orchid wishes,
Wanting to stroke across the heavens
For reflecting starlights bright,
Which I’ll situate to split the darker places
Where the inks bleed and branch out
Around you, smudging your purest colors…
That I endeavor to recover
When illness tries to smother
You with a viridescent blanket for on-going days;
Cloaking the glance of your azure blue eyes;
Pulling gray and white from your skull
To streak through your forest brown hair;
Rushing flag red moments to your cheeks
When you growl, “No. Don’t—“ when I
Try any way to help you through the fevers
That hang dredged plum-violet clouds over
The sofa — away — where you stay sleeping…
While I sit crimson awake worrying,
Watching you breathe…And asking
Through faith’s golden prayers for your healing;
For our holy Lord to send some ministering angels
— With their glistening opaline feathered wings;
Who side by side, place hands on you ~ veiling
My first view of prayers’ answers coming true;
Lifting me to a bloom of rosebud gratitude.
I paint you never far.
I paint your ocean blue eyes opening.
I paint you always beside me in a sandcastle brown.
I dapple the air over us an effervescent pink.
I paint your prism presence close.
I paint your mid-night’s Arora Borealis dancing hues.
Our love is a stippled, rolling color wheel
Of our linked diamond destinies: journeying
Together on amber roads under sapphire skies.

Glory to God…
Operetta
Opaline arias glow in moonlight
Shimmers in the whip-poor-will’s reminisce,
Opalescent anthems silvery delight
On the still waters, moonbeams leave a kiss.
Iridescent serenade sonatas
Echo across sleek undulating swells
Choruses of nightingale cantatas
Rise up in sheer murmurs from argent wells
Midnight luminescent harmony blends
Overtures of plaintive loon duets
Glide over satin ripples to transcend
The song of hero and saucy coquette
In tranquility soft moonlit scenes close
Midnight’s operetta in dawn’s repose.
My love, I call you opaline;
you dazzle like a jewel,
extending passion’s brilliant hues,
when chill of night seems cruel.
My iridescent evening star,
adorning canvas sky,
I know your fiery radiance
and ache to feel you nigh.
