Best One Fourth Poems
Two times two is four
Four times two is eight
Eight times two is sixteen
How far can we multiply by two?
Forever
Two divided by two is one
One divided by two is one half
One half divided by two is one fourth
How far can we divide by two?
Forever
Where is the end of the universe?
Forever
So, I confess
Our mind is limited
Between infinity and infinitesimal
Beyond which
We use the word
FOREVER
Meaning I don’t know
Let us pretend you have a magic pill.
If you decide to take it,
You can wake up tomorrow as someone else.
A new look, a new age, a new person,
You can live in any country in the world.
You can live on another planet.
You can be famous, rich, or just be you.
Choose wisely, as you can never
Ever go back.
You have
Twenty
Seconds to
Decide.

Just as I thought.
1955 Was a Very Good Year
By Elton Camp
A better year in my life I have never seen
Because, back then, I was only age fifteen
Nobody I knew had, at that time, ever died
Any problems of the world I could brush aside
Nearly eight millions cars were sold in the USA
And never before had they been styled that way
Seven out of ten families owned a motor car
So we ranged freely about, both near and far
And yearly pay was nearly four thousand buck
Inflation of one-fourth percent added to the luck
Minimum wage to a dollar an hour had been raised
And gas at twenty-three cents a gallon was praised
Eleven thousand dollars was the cost of a new house
About a new car at two thousand, nobody’d grouse
Born that year were Whoppi Goldberg, Jobs & Gates
Nobody would have expected their eventual fates
Of the civil rights movement I was only vaguely aware
Dr. King, Rosa Parks, Emmett Till, though, were there
Elvis Presley was then the very latest singing rage
And appealed to screaming girls of most any age
James Dean in the movie, East of Eden, was the star
But he died that year and so wasn’t able to go too far
Finding his thrill on Blueberry Hill was Fats Domino
Bill Haley, Chuck Berry and the Platters on the go
I am not one of those old men who dotes to say
“If only it were still like back in the good old day”
Back in 1955, there many problems and great woe
But not the concern of a fifties teenager, though
I entered gates that were rusty and old, worn with age,
This eternal resting place filled my soul with sadness;
The time of year did not help, barren trees hanging low,
Dried up flowers lay forlorn on rows of graves.
I followed a pathway taking me deep into the maze of sorrow,
Many stones difficult to read, erosion and time destroyed;
Some were simple crosses and others pristine granite markers,
I crossed over a bridge above a rippling stream.
Dark valleys lay before me and toppled statues rest in peace,
This scene of sadness holds a place in my soul forever;
For among the burial plots, vaults, lays a beloved sad memory,
Of my childhood cat, Snowball, forever in this place.
This pet cemetery, serene and tranquil,
And I still weep . . . .

The sky is a mass field of common wealth
Air,light and water yields of common wealth
Along and across, the lines drawn on the political map
Like nerves running over the body
Bounding the water resources as mile stones
Separated the hearts not the soil
Unrest, tearing the unity and peace, piece by piece
The idea of inventing bottles
Made drinking water a marketing commodity
Water is the champion in some own camps
Water is a weapon in the agenda of the world war,the last
Polluting environment inch by inch
Money making minds, burning oil in sleepless nights
To discover a vial to make "inhaling fresh air" a commercial commodity
There stands greed as a dividing wall of common wealth
In between rich and poor
Rich is right and poor is left!
Up setting the order of common wealth sharing and caring
Great not greed, greet not greed, slogan is fake!
The spider spins it's own web for it to run
Anger, jealous and affection a World Wide Web
People unaware the tool of love to cut it to get out
Love and affection got out of hearts and hiding in the armpits
Where,Where is peace?
True, the foundation of commonwealth is strong as the Great Wall
"Breaking the Earth of one fourth
Bringing people of one third
Briefing the heads in good word
Business become,commonwealth"
This "mantra" is not answering the burning issues
If meeting is the answer, that's to meet the peace not people
It is a waste of time and money otherwise
"It is like going to the toilet,
There is a sitting, then there is a report and matter is dropped"
A veteran Lankan parliamentarian as revealed
Out of fifty three seats of Commonwealth
Find the fifty fourth one
Let peace sit down on fifty fourth seat
Let it the pivot of searching peace
Pick up all pieces of peace
Past it on the wall of CHOGM
It is greater than the Chinese Great Wall, very strong!
Resolve,peace!
Dissolve finding peace!!
(This poem is on the 23rd the CHOGM-Commonwealth Heads of Govt. Meeting-
taking place in Sri Lanka from 15th to 17th November 2013)
Life changes like the seasons
Laughter bubbles, tears flow.
There's a quiet look as the mind reasons
to let the sorrow go.
Colors change as hearts do,
Flavors seem so rich.
As a new beginning follows through,
The paths to truth have switched.
Thunder rumbled as lightning struck,
Water flooded the ground.
A different storm, life crumbled.
I watched as it tumbled down.
But now to rebuild with new parts,
Tears provide the mortar.
One fourth respect, One half love
With laughter as the other quarter.
I'll cry tears for all the pain,
But it lessens everyday,
And life has taught to put trust in fate,
And love will find a way.
curry-crumble pork chops
so mouthwatering
Just dare to be different folks
moistness lies in the
layers of yogurt
brushed over
pork!
Curry-Crumbed Pork Chops
Panko are coarse bread crumbs usually found next to other bread crumbs in the
supermarket.

2 bone-in center-cut rib pork chops (3/4 inch
thick)
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/3 cup panko
1 teaspoon curry powder

one-fourth of the yogurt mixture; stir green onion into remaining yogurt mixture. Brush
reserved yogurt mixture onto both sides of pork chops.
2. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Cook pork 4 to 6
minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Remove pork; place on foil-lined baking sheet.
3. Combine panko and curry powder; stir into drippings in skillet. Spread over top of pork.
4. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until pork is pale pink in center. Serve with yogurt sauce.

I was looking at the small pill-cutter box
Which I was holding in my hand.
Blue colored with a sharp edge of the blade
To cut the medicine in halves, one-third or
Could also be, in one-fourth, maybe.
I was thinking, simultaneously, about the news
I heard today, which made me puzzled….
Churches and bombings, again, so vulnerability!
So vulnerable with this cloak of religiosity
In this utter disastrous time of unrest and confusion!
I woke up again…. just to get another news of the death
A death in the family, ending of a marvelous life, so precious!
I whispered a line of supplication for the departed
And also, for me, as there was something to do….
And, I was holding the pill cutter still in hand, indecisively.

I Can’t Believe I Keep Saying Stuff Like That
By Elton Camp
I won’t have any trouble relating to the regular Joe
After all, I only have two hundred fifty million or so
Among the filthy rich, I am not even close to there
I’m only about one-fourth way to being a billionaire
NASCAR doesn’t really hold a lot of interest to me
But of couple of my friends own whole teams you see
Sometimes I forget & make some rather unwise cracks
Like saying that my wife drives a couple of Cadillacs
And when I said that it’s people that I like to fire
Looking back, I wish had, instead, substituted hire
But probably the worst that I have messed up yet
Was in offering to make a ten thousand buck bet
I mean not to speak of wealth, but can’t stick to it
Sometimes I wonder if it’s the devil made me do it
I surely do wish that to nobody it had occurred
That I am as rich as Thurston Howell the Third
May 4 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Nehemiah 9-13
Key Verse – Nehemiah 9:3 And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY CONFESSION HEARER
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my iniquities
Thank You for forgiving me of my admitted sins and impurities
As I reveal to You my doubts, unbelief, and insecurities
While repenting for my wicked thoughts in my entreaties.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my unfaithfulness
Thank You for pardoning me of my transgressions by Your grace and goodness
As I see my unrighteousness in the light of Your holiness
While receiving Your correction for my pride of vain haughtiness.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my disobedience
Thank You for directing me for faith-propelled resurgence
As I realize my vexation-caused troubles due to carnal indulgence
While submitting before You my heart for surrender of meek diligence.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my misunderstanding
Thank You for teaching me for my ministerial comprehending
As I acknowledge that Your wisdom is what I’m always needing
While offering myself to You without pretending.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my bad attitude
Thank You for leading me toward steps of joyous gratitude
As I yield to You my stubbornness along Your might’s fortitude
While turning away from worldly stardom’s altitude.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my lack of dedication
Thank You for purging me by Your sanctification
As I abide in Your will for my testimony’s beautification
While worshipping You with wholehearted devotion.
Lord God, You are my confession Hearer regarding my downfall
Thank You for reaching out to me whenever to You I call
As I grieve for my frustrations against fruitfulness-hall
While trusting You for me to stand faithful, spiritually tall.

Leatherback, murray river, matama
Hawksbill, common musk and spiny soft shell.
Loggerhead, Atlantic green, alligator snapping
Turtles are we, in every country we dwell.
The largest sea turtle reaches eight hundred pounds.
A leatherback whose love for jellyfish abounds.
Alligator snapping is one fourth of leatherback’s weight
Uses pink fleshy flap of lower jaw for bait.
The difference in turtles fascinates me.
I can picture the loggerheads running to the sea.
No matter what country you decide to make your home
There is a turtle close by, even if it is in this poem.
President Roosevelt once said, " In Politics nothing happens by accident. If it happens you can believe it was planned that way!"
Nothing ever changes......
If we were dealing with the law of average at least one fourth of the world events that affect us should be good for America?
If we attribute happenings to mere incompetence our Political leaders should eventually make a mistake in our favor!
But. . . . Nothing ever changes.....Why?

How long is a long time?
Or: How long is a life?
If one second passes between the end of two lives,
Enough time to see a shooting star
Enough time to feel the change to winter or spring
Enough time to breathe fresh air...
Was not a lifetime lived in that second?
;
A hand shake,
Shaking and straining to squeeze
That last bit of toothpaste out
For the little brother of a son
Waiting to clean his teeth.
Nervous,
Nerve-racking anticipation but soon
Off to a bedroom one-fourth the volume
And three times as occupied as a sitcom,
No story tonight, sleepy thoughts by streetlight
Bleeding through the blinds,
From a kitchen halved by a fridge
Four times its used size,
And a goodnight,
All fe no male, a hopeful prayer unanswered,
An uncertain tomorrow in a certain tomorrow.
My dear Lord I want to say thank you today and everyday
For all your blessings and miracles in every way
I realize I am very blessed
My life is going great without any stress
And it is you dear Jesus that I want to praise
Your blessings are appreciated always
I am very thankful Jesus for your blessings and miracles too
And everything else that you do
Every day is better with you at my side
Yes, it is always better with you as my guide
One fourth of 2017 is almost done
So far all is well with joy and fun
Continue your blessings and favor every single day
I will continue to praise you in every possible way
Yes, it is you Jesus that keeps all things fantastic
Just good and nothing drastic
That is one of the reasons I want to thank you today
For keeping everything well in all ways
