Best Nature Love Poems
Your feathered words arrive tickling my ears
The tip of your nose brushes
The back of my neck
My skin awakens
I have been calling you
Calling you back into my consciousness
My heart
My soul
Speak to me.... let me hear you
Your deep voice
Your warm breath
I feel you on my cheeks
Memories of our times together
Dancing in the raindrops
Naked...laughing
Warm pink drops
Cascading through the canopy of
A million greens above us
Sunlight seeping through
A kaleidoscope throwing rays of light
Shafts and shadows embracing your form
Noir velvet and gold shimmer
An ethereal statue before me
Sitting cross legged on mammoth leaves
We press our palms together
Looking into your eyes
Past now...to before
And back to now again
A forever embrace cradled in unity
Overhead the drip drop melody of
A thousand tears
Falling from the heavens
Audible in form
We have been here before
Surrounded in green majesty
Gazing towards a swaying tribe of ladybugs
Red with black spots
Surrounded in light...glowing
Radiating love
I hover above you spread eagle
Close enough to caress your forehead
With my lips
Leaving a gentle imprint
A message of hope
Fly with me to the clouds
Where we may gallop and play
Frolicking through lush planetary fields
Fly now...ride on my white wings
Up....up ...up
Past turmoil and confusion
Tragedy and loss
Through the lavender veil
To cloudbursts and mist
Mystery and rebirth
Infinite space and distant time surround us
We gasp and giggle
Weightless vibrations inhabit us
Turning towards each other in delight
We cartwheel through the sky
And make snow angels
On the hills of magenta clouds
SANDIA
Sandia …Sandia I love you. Sandia…Sandia your beautiful deep shadows and illuminated peaks stir within me wonder and desire. To be part of your world, your story, your history would be my gift.
Whisper to me …
Sweet watermelon hills. I long to be closer to you, to touch you,
to smell the air on your highest peak,
to lay my tired body in your lush green valleys.
I know you speak to me and whisper in my ears.
I know you call to me and I hear your words…
“Come to me. Let me embrace you. You will become me
and travel through my past, my present and on into my future.
Let me stroke your forehead and gently touch your tired eyelids
closing them so you may rest if even for a few moments.”
“Rest in my hills, in my shelter of smooth warm stones.
Surround yourself. Rest on me. Breathe in my air.
Look upward and gaze upon the lovely pink and gray
clouds that hover around me.
Let me kiss you with my breeze…the call of the air…
and the promise of dreams to come.”
I walked into a meadow
Such beauty did I see
Turns out it's been here
All this time
Revealed so gently
I walked into a meadow
Tamed in part
Yet mostly wild
I skipped among the flowers
Felt the freedom of a child
I walked into a meadow
Shared the warmth
Of her caress
The sunlight of her radiance
A view designed to bless
I walked into that meadow
Without purpose
Soon to learn
A heart can hold more love inside
Than out can ever earn
Love me
when you hear the lips parting the silence
And the soul of the night is unraveling
In the vapor of light
I'm just a child
who torments the dawn stretching
My thoughts on the bleeding strings!
Love me,
Upon being hidden from the eternal with astonished steps
Walking the shells under the eyelids.
Trees that break their eyelashes.
Giving into the shade. . .
I'm nothing else than a grass stubble,
White passions return to the panhandles of birds!
Love me,
We're close to the heaven:
Me, you, the yellowish leaf,
The deer, the desert licked up the warm windows.
Sometimes I wonder about nature’s mysteries…
how there is so much I can’t explain?
Like why the sand dunes can be heard to sing
or how flowers anticipate the rain.
Like how the sun rises to greet the day
and how at night it bids adieu.
Like how there is a rhythm to the waves
or how the sky epitomizes blue.
Like how a stream can talk to you.
Like how dew drops nestle in the grasses.
Like how clouds can change right before our eyes
or how leaves shiver as a cool breeze passes.
Like how life can flourish in the most unlikely places.
Like how the ocean can be so wide.
Like the boisterous sound of crows in flight
or the silence of a pelican’s glide.
Like the sheer force of thunder and lightning
as they announce a summer squall.
Like how a rainbow stretches across the sky.
Like the the wonder of a waterfall…
But then again when I stop to think about it
I don’t really want to know
what makes the flowers smile
what makes the cool winds blow
because as I look around me…
as out on nature my eyes gaze
I don’t want to know her secrets….
I prefer to be amazed.
quilt in waves a rainbow ocean
etheric your ambrosia whiffs
whirling my waist
I wash dishes
rain swallowing chores, blood red hot
garden path waits your stoic tread
rockery longs for guitar thumbs
astral breath brushes rose petals
sun rises steady in fall sky ~
sorrow songs reaps benefit of time
your initials melded to mine in rhyme
astral skin blankets my chest
stormy waters
do not drown
your pauses

My love is like an ocean
so vast and mysteriously deep
given by me like a potion
to forever treasure and keep
My love is like an ocean
so beautifully natural and so pure
expressed through amorous emotion
my love is a disease which has no cure
My love is like an ocean
salty yet bitter-sweet
waves of love forever in motion
the ending beach we will never meet
My love is like an ocean
flourishing with life
with its occaisional commotion
yet never too much strife
My love is like an ocean
never to diminish
to forever flow on with devotion
unlike my poem which has come to a finish
Petals of a yellow daisy,
windswept on a breeze,
does he love me, soon I’ll know
what the flower foresees.
Faith in a yellow daisy,
will our love affair unfold,
or will the yellow daisy speak
of false hopes bleak and cold.
Who’d think a yellow daisy,
harbored such amazing power,
foretelling my wishes, my desires
in one single little flower
So I’ll pick a field of daisies
that’s what fields are for,
to find that special one that says
he’s mine forevermore.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS GONEa
Across a flowered field, I gaze.
A daisy weeps through morning haze.
One lone petal departs her side -
a "love-me-not" is softly sighed.
Gazing away from love denied -
one more leaflet from thee is pried.
Another dream towards fate's romance;
a petal plucked lends second chance.
The daisy's hearth has met defeat.
Her children sob beneath her feet.
Deflowered by a lover's act -
one last petal remains in tact.
"Love-me-not or love me so true?"
I leave that answer up to you.
those dandelions will live
to see another perfect sky
wrought with minerals of sunlight
landing amongst the tall green path
that welcomes all to our door
a kiss along the skin and mind
places us in this languid mood
that will not allow our day to exist
outside these walls as it was afore
the gentle, the warm, the times
we make love
A flash lit up the sky,
As thunder grumbled by the rain,
My heart lay gripped with pain,
My mind going insane this way,
Hot and cold air at play,
While dreamings drift and sway around,
The wayward thoughts abound,
Where love dared not be found instead,
The dreams came in my head
And in this storm to bed I’ll go,
For wonderings I know
Allow not love to grow within,
For fear that would be sin,
Yet thunder, my chagrin, still roars
As lightning kissed rain pours
Cleansing the muddied floors of why!

Note: Special thanks to Elizabeth Wesley for planting the seed (another one) for this poem. And despite the dismal nature of this writing, Sanibel Island is still a beautiful place to see and visit.
Sanibel, Sanibel, Sanibel dream;
Once we were lovers before I knew what love means.
I held your hands, your soft white sands
Caressing my fingers tender;
Sanibel, Sanibel where have you have gone
Our love no longer lingers.
Gone are your spiraling sea shells,
Remains of your deep ocean friends;
Gone are your crystalline shorelines
I left my footprints in.
From progress called sky scrapers
And concrete travel parks;
Sanibel, dear Sanibel,
You’ve lost your sweet lovers spark.
Others may find you still lovely
With your great blue egret plumes;
But I’m not fooled for a New York minute
Because I watched shooting stars with you.
While the waves washed in from the distance
And the tides came and went with the moon;
I gave you my all while following the call
And you left me far too soon.
Sanibel, Sanibel, Sanibel dream;
Once we were lovers before I knew what love means.
Your heart rises to the east, and
sets with mine to the
west,where our earthly love
Rotationally revolves around
the sun, truthfully,burning an
inferno flame.
Together we will, break dawn,
and reach for the stars,
gravidly speaking to hinder,
those who will listen,under
moonlights nightly story.
I tell you I love you, You reply
ditto, all in the same,because
we are that one great puzzle to
life, that people adore; or envy.
Feel Gods love all around
From the sky to the ground
See the gifts he gave to you
In each blade of grass beneath your shoe
In each grain of sand flowing through your hands
And every seed upon this land
See the genius of his love
As flowers appear from a bud
Feel the love next to you
In that daisy by your shoe
my heart, it beats with pure true love
unconditional love
for all wildlife
without no strife
unconditional love
mother nature without a shove
I would fight for her life
she will survive
on me rely
I would fight for her life
only my best will it suffice
for her, I'd give my time
am I losing
my head choosing
for her, I'd give my time
how I would love to call her mine
she is ours, our lady
no doubt, alive
she can't contrive
she is ours, our lady
