Premium Member Mona Lisa's Paramour

A period of youthful vim ferments
as coruscating golden flecks in eyes
that mesmerise and tantalise, give rise
to secrets in my breast to stir, foment.
The xanthous tresses that cascade torment.
My eager and impressionable sighs
that echo every pirouette and pliés,
a fleeting intercession of lament.
A maverick when it comes to amour
and quintessentially a rakish cad.
Unrequited love longstanding rancour,
but finally become your paramour.
An enigmatic smile ever so sad;
your broken heart I gladly give succour.

Premium Member Fantastic Four

As dusk bleeds
dimmed threads,
that veil the sun
within my mind,
I listen to the whispers
of the midnight wind,
slowly carrying the chaos
of city life,
reminding me that
in togetherness,
I can rise and fight
the darkness,
like the Fantastic Four in
the celestial chronicles of
magnificent Marvel.
For their strength in unity
did cast away every obstacle
wrapped in fictional lies.

I wish I could
be Susan Storm,
in times of strife,
to mesmerise
and manipulate
the rosiest of flames,
where Johnny Storm shines
and cosmically conquers
adversaries with eloquence.

Sometimes I long
to be flexible
like Reed Richards,
stretching beyond
oblivion and reaching
spheres untouchable.

Tonight, I wish I were
Ben Grimm, facing
every storm, being
virtually indestructible
and heroical.

Yet, to be a family of four,
so fearless and strong,
is but an eternal dream
within my glass heart.

So tomorrow,
I shall rise
and flip pages,
where all worries of
this world will
be forgotten.
My soul and spirit
connected poetically
     to the fantastic four.

Premium Member The Lilt of Lilac Melodies

Wan is the hiemal world outdoors,
The biting breeze blows bitter,
like a blizzard building in momentum,
Cold creeps in through the closed windows,
But his harmonic heart is happy and warm,
touched by tantalizing tingles of tender tunes.

~ silent violins play violet symphonies ~

The mystery of mauve melodies mesmerise his mind,
as he is lost within his mellifluous macrocosm;
Intoxicated with invigorating inspirations,
he experiences euphonious euphoria,
Forgetting the frost and frozen fingertips,
he hums sweet sonatas in the making.

~ soothing arias arouse amethyst emotions ~

A string of soft heliotrope strains
brush away the brumal brutality,
And even as the notes swell, they quell the chill,
The warbling waves wind up in a waltz,
resonating sizzling rhythms all around the room;
Content with cantatas serenading magenta Maestoso.

~ lilac lyrics light up lavender legacies ~

My Chandigarh

City beautiful as it is rightly named,
Greener pastures, treetops embrace;
Wider roads, traffic perfectly tamed,
Clean as could be, an absolute grace.

Rich in culture, hospitable and kind,
Draped in passion, the tender hearts;
We, the people, have got lucid minds,
Versatile sunrises give us daily starts.

Merry go rounds mesmerise our kids,
College cafes, pubs fascinate the young;
Beautiful garden where the elderly sits,
Our roots are deep, branches well clung;

History and heritage inspirit true goals
as twilight hymns imbrue into our souls.

My Cyber family

I had no one to speak my heart,
Depression had stolen my spark,

Could not help emotions flow,
Glittering eyes had lost their glow,

One fine evening of early sunset,
I doomed in Ocean of deep regret,

Penned my feelings at poetry soup,
Was welcomed by a warm group,

Washed away in tears was grief,
Cyber family touched me deep,

My feelings as I penned to post,
Within no time came hugs of support,

Critical comments gave me a go,
brainy ones blew away the sorrow,

Contests kept me occupied,
Negative thoughts were put aside,

Exquisite pens mesmerise, age no bar,
Put you to cloud nine and ride the stars,

If you too are sad and crazy,
Welcome to my cyber family !

The Tigers Eye

My Canon SLR, is set, night light on, but it’s only still dusk
Positioned waiting hoping for the promised elephant with tusk
Crouching low a rustling in the hot scrub grass close by
I turn slowly hoping, but look straight into a tigers golden eye…

An overpowering smell my nostrils do detect
A deathly smell of blood, on my life I do reflect
The eye of the tiger with its golden hue
He seems so neat, almost manicured too…

The white stripes round his wide open eyes
The crackle of dry grass, the buzz of the flies
The sweat does drip, down my nose
My heart beats fast, the shutter won’t close.

His small ears on such a large head do mesmerise me
The long, long whiskers twitch, so I believe it is a he.
Do I move? Do I breathe? What am I to do?
A tiger with black pupils, why didn't I bring a crew.

Looking through my lens, I see his nose twitch a little bit
I am on his menu it was then the shutter did click
I’m drenched in sweat; he lowers to pounce, this will be goodbye
My prayers are said, my life relived, I know it’s time to die…

Straight through the lens, but what I really did not see
He’s looking to my side, my prayers are answered it isn't me
A sigh escapes, I dare to breathe, I turn as slowly as I dare…
That’s when I spot a flock of gazelle; one of them will be his fare

a pleasant breeze soothes
hues of orange mesmerise
crispy yellow leaves ...

maple morning crush

gold reflects in eyes ...

Orange hues mesmerise
Morning twilight lends its colours

November rains
Monsoon starts wet;
Nature redecorates

Orchard Road stretch
Decked for Christmas;
Good for business

~~~~~~~~~
So sad this scandal
Funds embezzled;
Ego versus love
~~~~~~~~~

Love works well
Yes you can tell;
Cash now casts spells

~~~~~~~~~
Sound song and dance
Can mesmerise;
Glitzy paradise
~~~~~~~~~

Once upon a tale
That gospel sway;
Now corruption steals

~~~~~~~~~
Sad, sad refrains
Pain comes to snort;
Empty counts gain
~~~~~~~~~

Hollywood cheer
Baubles at Christmas;
Weary world in tears

Write words
Wave wins;
Wrong works

No matter what
Happens right now;
Love keeps loving

Jolly greets holly
Year-end reasons;
Joyful blessings greet

When Sadness Haunts

Bewildered and haunted through flashes of memories that relive themselves
I sit and ponder and look into the sky
there is no pain greater than been lost in SELF
battling with a STRONG shadow called SADNESS
she stalks and haunts and bring you moments of agony
she comes along with her sister ANGUISH
and they taunt you,
galvanising and pinpointing your mind to the PAST you left behind

OH SADNESS! ! ! ! ! ! !
have you not rendered men a roaming wretch for years?
are you not content with the tears you have drank from your millions of subscribers?
are you not pained because of happiness and her many gifts?
when will you leave the vulnerable ones and stop feeding on their weaknesses?
for how long will you continue to taunt MEN with their horrible past and perceived failure?

You are hopeless and weak and so you feed on people's misery alongside with your heartrending sister called ANGUISH
Leave us alone,
for we do not want to commune with you
you are meant to die alone,
but you have garnered so many souls as your followers
reminding them of their most terrible past
conjuring pieces of AGONY
and feeding them with misery's venom
you are a witch SADNESS
and you dwell in the dark
you mesmerise us with beautiful tragedies and allure us into your deep seeking kingdom
ARISE
run away from sadness
before she infects you with her incurable disease
SADNESS has no home
and so she roams

Nature's Phenomenon

NATURE'S PHENOMENON

Beauty that is the life phenomenon with the scenic view
But those who can feel it and mesmerise its bliss were very few
A quiet place , with breathtaking waterfalls covered in all mist
Emerging the unmeasurable ocean with its cool breeze
Winds swirling in the blue and limitless sky
It's like a presence of holy heaven somewhere nearby
It's reverence on the earth is so much rare
But the human will never knew and feel it as a spare
From dawn to dusk ,From sunrise to sunset
Biotic and abiotic components compiles like a illusion
Makes the mother nature and changes it's presence with seasons
It helps nurture ones soul, body and reawakens the lost spirit
Owning this earth is incoherent
But we can have its benefits and keep it safe as it was inherit!!!!!

An Autumn Intermingled

When twilight sends lavender to the sky,
And reflections of light ignite the orange,

(Alluring colours of autumn mesmerise),
Sickle of moon is unable to cut the dark,
(Unfathomed beauty in orange and yellow),
Robust waters of rivers to shores' embark,

(Trenchant evanescence of greens),
Crispy leaves with breeze flutter around,
(Unfeigned emotions true up in zest),
Yellow, orange and red hues surround,

(Mollify the fiery torrid days),
An autumn night awaits a warm welcome,
(Nautical furnaces red on edge of horizon)!

Premium Member With My Very Last Breath

I was alone.
In melancholy tone,
I lived my single life.

Then your face
Lonely did erase.
I gladly became your wife.

It was simple,
Like a dimple,
There etched perfect and true.

My heart sang.
Joyfully I began
To declare my love for you.

You me inspire.
Light my fire.
Tenderly you hold my hand.

Your smiling eyes
Just mesmerise.
The way you always understand.

I'll thank God personally for you at my death.
Die, saying your name with my very last breath.

The Lost Man

The one with a sweet cherry lips
The one with a piercing eyes
The one with a weird sense of humour
The one who does not carry the heart on his sleeves

The obstacles are challenges
The hassles are opportunities
The lemons are the sweetness
The mind is to indulged

The one who's focus is so intense
The one who's not persuasive
The one who's smile mesmerise the soul
The one who's eagerly ready

The memories are there to be a constant reminder
The love given is there to be received
The decisions are there to be consequences
The heart is there to be nurtured

Superstition

It has the magic to mesmerise the innocent
It leaves an impression of wonder and awe
It offers fleeting comforts to the susceptible
It advises escaping instead of confrontation.

It is a deep rooted evil systematically spread
It is a rabid wolf in sheep’s disguise dreaded
It puts out of view the real from the fabricated
It is a sinister child of ignorance awful indeed.

It is omniscient like a killer germ destructive
Quietly targets one who lacks discrimination
Makes him adamant to any rational instruction
And thus pushes him to go through all torment.

The only way to get rid of such evil pestilence
Is to completely rely on one’s own intelligence
And not to trust anything without discernment
And remain continuously focussed and vigilant.
