My Chandigarh

My Chandigarh

City beautiful as it is rightly named,
Greener pastures, treetops embrace;
Wider roads, traffic perfectly tamed,
Clean as could be, an absolute grace.

Rich in culture, hospitable and kind,
Draped in passion, the tender hearts;
We, the people, have got lucid minds,
Versatile sunrises give us daily starts.

Merry go rounds mesmerise our kids,
College cafes, pubs fascinate the young;
Beautiful garden where the elderly sits,
Our roots are deep, branches well clung;

History and heritage inspirit true goals
as twilight hymns imbrue into our souls.

Congrats Upma to win. I had been in Chandigarh on several occasions. I liked the city very much. Have you ever been in Kolkata, West Bengal ?
