Called to journey
Through the passageway of my heart
I close the door and turn
Exposing myself in full surrender

Fuzzy whiteness vibrates around me
A fleecy cocoon tickles my limbs
I feel your fingertips calling out to me
Royal turquoise butterflies appear
Leading the way onward

Dissolving light waves reveal
Frolicking foam caressing sandy shores
Transparent bubbles look up at me
From in between my toes
Walking slowly, I pause
I lay down ~ cradled by the beach
Exposing my flesh to
Lapping waves which nuzzle me gently

Rising to my knees
I lay my ear against
The calm waters
Waiting for your call

Caw Caw Caw

Attentive seagulls glide close by
Bellies against the surface
Of ocean’s breast
I hear you whisper
~Join me my love ~

I raise my arms up
Feeling the breeze kiss my fingertips
I float upward
Lavender lenticular clouds
Create continents and islands
Of hope and discovery

I touch your heartbeat with
My outstretched hand
Allowing you to lead me
With your magical magnetism
Guiding me to realms unknown

We drift upward viewing twilight tendrils
Of mauves, sages and fading Prussian blues
Each movement a deepening
Of heart and soul
Receiving embedded hieroglyphics
Of passion and pain

My heart expands
My soul delights
As I weep silent tears of gratitude
Remembrances of lifetimes past

I gaze skywards witnessing
The three sisters on cliff’s edge
Pillars of strength and wisdom
Sharing insight
Pink smoke hovering
Around their downy silhouettes
As hawks, snakes, and reptiles
Of the canyonlands observe

Coyotes howl in the distance
Sensing the ceremony

With eyes closed
I feel the embrace from you
From my sisters
From the elements
From the animals
Our shared connection

We are one
I send my kiss out into the universe
As heaven’s face smiles down upon us

Premium Member Colors of Love

Deep within my hidden pastel dreams
are soft sweet colors of a newborn spring
dressed up in mauves and pinks and windham creams
while giving hope to love and all it brings.

Painted in the colors of the dawn,
like pinks and purples of the morning sky,
magenta dreams will bloom and love will spawn
as newly mated hearts begin to fly.

And thus our lilac love has taken flight
while sharing orchid thoughts without remiss;
soft words and fuchsia touches in the night
are punctuated with a crimson kiss.

The coral sun rays beaming from above
are raining down these colors of our love.

I ride the vibrant crests
Of a tangerine moon
Glowing across stardust ridges
Where inspiration tickles
My heart with laughing dewdrops

I drift on the edge of a smiling
Emerald forest filled with
Whispery pines and strong oaks
All the trees remind me why
The birds make a home on branches
With their bristling, dancing leaves

I walk through a thriving garden
Alive with scarlet and cobalt
Rare colors in the choiciest purples
Mauves, sunset yellow and lavender
Hastening to create a sweet fantasy

I breathe in the crisp, cool air
Of an autumn night, a summer light
Feeling the freedom of a heart
Gentle and warm, feeling forlorn
For the tender caress of rainfall
Caressing my shoulders lightly

I kiss the silence with hope
For moments poured full of joy
While my heart whispers
Recklessly thrilling in the vitality
Of a dream that fulfills me

I ache for these days of simplicity
When light plays with the shadows
Echoing through the longings
With cries resembling poetry
Lingering on the edge of sanity

I dream, I imagine, I praise
With a prayer of faith
Believing in the God who reigns
High above my thoughts
In a heaven where I will hope
Love continues to abide, eternally

Beyond the Solitude

in silence i stand
wistful recollections
censure this mind
unfolding fragility of fate
lost in soft shadows of time
nothings irreplaceable

death's cold hand touches me
between the whispers and the sighs
of lingering memories

awakening
deep inclinations
that taunt me
in your ruins

silently abstracted
one last tear
fragile as raindrop
falls beyond
the clouds part
in the break
of dusk

beauty unfolds
the essence of soft shadows
through a sunset serenade
with trails of lilac mauves

atop your grave
the tulips whisper back
through gossamer breeze
as day fades to night

i turn back misguided
in silence i stand

Premium Member The Poetry of Color

Colors dancing ‘cross the canvas
from the artist’s seasoned brush;
hues of reds and mauves and blues all
waltzing slowly in a hush.

Swaying softly to the music
drifting calmly through my mind;
the poetry of colors, and their
gentle beauty undefined.

Closing eyes I see a sunset,
hear a tender twilight tune,
see the poetry of colors
dancing slowly ‘neath the moon.

For still there are so many things that I have never seen: in every wood in every spring there is a different green. - J. R. R. Tolkien

Stunning light reflects the music,
Softly playing in hues of beautiful,
Dreamy buds, inspired by the sun,
Whisper hope in gentle creams,
Fragile pink and blushing mauves,
Delicate peach and pale lilac – peace…

Dazzling shadows, vibrant scarlet,
Glittering jewels of sapphire, luminous
As the pearly white that soothes,
Reflecting the songs of a quiet twilight,
As the leafy silence breaths hope
Through the spring’s glowing blooms.

Climbing, gliding, soaring over windy seas
Beyond the waves, through the morning’s breeze,
Perfect wings, sail gracefully…
Reminding each one that nature has her life,
With raspberry blessings, in quiet dreams,
Her heart melts the moments that foretell of spring.

Rich tints of laughter, silence the moon,
Reassuring the risktaker, blessing the truths
That aspire to bless us with rhythms,
From a season of purity, glowing with life,
Forever trembling and remembering
Easter, His sacrifice…

As the Spring embraces everyone who agrees
Despite the winter’s muteness,
There is the promise, the belief – that can see…
Beyond the doubts, beyond every fear,
Faith that bleeds joy into those who believe,
As Spring erases the past with its lively melody –

A melody of satisfaction for those who can see…
Spring’s enchantment in the showers, the trees, the message
Of a love that this season seems to impart –
The message of hope that Spring brings to hearts,
Who listen to the lyrics of a light falling through the quiet,
The lyrics found inside the soul who Spring has stirred…
With its unending blessings of pure sweet love.

I leave footprints in the wet sand.

They meander with no rhyme or reason

headed towards a pastel sunset

where pinks and mauves touch

the deepening hue of the beach.

Can You Speak -Woman-

CAN YOU SPEAK WOMAN?

I can speak French and sometimes Chinese
I can also speak cat with some ease
When he miaows at me as he goes
I mimic his call and he knows
When the dog barks I reply
Even the horse and I see eye to eye
But I can’t speak “woman”
It’s beyond the speech power of a man.
I can’t talk for hours about shoes

And discuss the merits of mauves or blues
Or share the humour of how pink bows
Don’t go with green pillows

And go all weepy over Meryl Streep

Or wax lyrical over some punk-rock creep

Or persuade some guy to discuss flowers

Rather than the size of the nuclear powers
.. . . . so she said. . . . so then I said. . .
And she whispered. . . . and her face went red. . . .

No it’s impossible to spend hours on the phone
I’d rather sit watching football all alone
It’s futile me trying to pretend
An interest in what gift to send
Or remember birthdays wi th accuracy
Such a task would drive me crazy
God save me from female speech
Let me speak “man”, I beseech
Just let me sit alone and grunt
Or maybe shoot, fish, and hunt
And talk to the dog about football facts
Or maybe to the car while I wax.

Premium Member My Happiest Fetish

I have a small secret confession to make,
And I’ll tell you about it right now.
It’s a fetish I have with the skin on my face,
Above and below my eyebrow.

I love to tattoo small spots and freckles,
Just like the young kids who have lots.
The more that I have the better person I am,
Better person because I have dots.

The dust of cute is the sun kissed look,
It’s the imperfect that makes them so pure.
Stunning, I love them, the bronze, gold and mauves,
Each one, to me, has an allure.

I landscape my face adding shades just for depth,
Using pigment instead of permanent ink.
I love every freckle put onto my face,
And I share them when I smile, laugh or blink.

Autumnal Memories

Oh mighty tree whose leaves look on fire
Vibrant orange, red colours spiralling
like feathers, raising ones hopes and desire
gently with aplomb on the trail falling.

Scrunch is the sound children make as they run
tossing the leaves and laughing together
soon to be Christmas with family fun
memories etched in their smile forever

too soon the tree is bare no glow to see,
no mantle to keep the birds safe and warm
winter has cast her white gown on the tree
freezing the roots to keep it safe from harm

storing the vision of that autumn scene
refreshing thoughts when winters frost is keen

Promises

She remembered when they first met,
he promised her anything,
and she lay in his arms cradling the golden moon
he had plucked out of the sky and placed at her feet,
and when she asked for a necklace of stars, he had
picked the finest ones out of the milky way and hung
them around her neck, and when they awoke she had
begged him for ribbons for her hair, he reached
into the morning sunrise and selected the finest
mauves and pinks and she had laughed and tied
them into her curls for him to see..

And together they had lain on the grassy cliff watching
the symphony of the morning sun as it pulled itself
out of satin sheets and got ready for another day,
and she turned her head away from the sun and
fell into a deep sleep with her head on his chest,
and she dreamed of milk white ponies with silver
bridles galloping across the clouds, and she thought
of how much she had loved him and how she would
never stop loving him..

But when she awoke, the sun was hot and when she
turned over in the grass, he was no longer there,
and the moon was back in the sky, pale and far away,
the stars at her throat were gone, and reaching for
her hair, she wore none of the ribbons he had given her,
and when she called out his name over and over, the
words crumbled to dust at her feet, and were swept
away in the morning wind.

Premium Member That Kiss

We watched the sun,
The blue sky fading away;
Pinks, blues, mauves mingling,
Finally the sun falling into the earth.

Then you kissed me,
With lips sweetly gentle;
My world spun out of control,
And from that moment and that kiss.

My life has changed,
For you were my forever;
My very reason for breathing,
My heart and soul and my destiny.

And in death still,
You are my true love;
For, I will never forget that kiss,
That kiss will stay with me forever.

gold pink orange dawn
rise up refreshed in sunshine
like a fragrant bloom

in torrid noon hour
emerald green and jaded
birds sing to summer

reds mauves turn dusky
shadows lengthen into night
glimmering moonbeams

diamond stars are twinkling fire
music in the night

Premium Member Sunset Setting

I go to the edge of the world
And I find
Yellows and oranges
Reds, scarlets, mauves, and burgundies
All congested together
Into a blasting color display
Turning the blue gradually
Into black nothingness
And bringing the darkening sky
Black behind the tail
Of the solar ball
As the sun sets
These colors get darker
Until darkness comes
At the very end

Humour In Living Colours

Dark green is my jealousy, red is my love
Purple is for righteous anger
And that from heaven above.
Blue is my humour side
But it is really quite pale.
Brown is for misery,
But we don’t want to hear that tale...

Golden is my namesake
For that I am not to blame
It was my burnt golden coloured car
Parked in a shady lane.
Yellow is for happiness, and time to get in the sun
White is for the soothing lotion, when I find I've burnt my bum.
Black is for the night- time, and I see a lot of it
Mid green is for the grass and the foxes poo that's on it.

Orange is for laughter, well I mean it’s got to be
Anyone seen wearing orange is up for a laugh sure-ly.
Brown apart from being fox poo, is a soothing colour
Grey is so dreary, you couldn’t get much duller.
Then we get into all those names that no one can spell or remember
Taupe and mauves and stranger ones, of that club I’m not a member.
Pinks are for baby girls all rosy and perfection
Boys are in the blue tones, there is quite a selection.
But for me the best colour is the green that shines so bright
In the eyes of my lover, of whom I dream at night
