Soul Mates Solace

When my final shadows cling on desperately
Where I fight formidable battles
to merely hold the light
I send you loving vibrations
and soul sustenance
Deep from the cathedral
of one heart to another
where today no choirs sing
nor symphonies play
Yet it is here where we meet
in spiritual solace
here to surrender
and exchange inestimable treasures
recollecting memories
like unopened letters
Galaxies are stretched
over chronicles of shared history
Nebula birthing stars
will be exposed
in forth-coming conversations
bringing short-lived fulfilment to you
Hungry to feast
now will be the time
to approve your blood art vision
and with my own haunting surrender
as dappled shades ink stain your chest
I will reside with you and share, mesmerised
pens - by branding
as this will be your written reams to me
your artist's pallet or brushed canvas
no need for words
and yet creating
mysterious magical moments
Bitter-sweet the music
that dances taut guitar strings
but now blood approved
please go kick your heel up
return to your laughter
and ride on the breeze
for not all are lost
change not
for I am with you always
to love, listen and comfort as one
with you in me and I in you
as masterpiece

You are the rich color in my cheeks
The brilliance in my ecstatic smile
The elation in my expression of joy
The sincerity in my sweetest hope
You are the glory that sighs when I sing
A song of love that lives deep within
Where you have colored my world
In hues of inspirational truths

You are the balance of black and white
The realization that God is so alive
The gentle grasp of pleasure that ignites
The purest peace filling up my insides
You are the rousing splendor that excites
Beckoning me with so much insight
Welcoming my heart to know your truth
And dance with a jubilant fire that burns for you

You are the whisper of encouraging prose
The anchor that holds me through every storm
The imagination that keeps me inspired with verse
The creativity that winds its way through my spirit
You are the gentle touch that embraces my faith
A sensitivity that brings me friendship and elation
Reflections of promise to bring serenity and peace
Echoes of hope that soothe my weary anxiety

You are the one who makes my world complete
With you, I know God answers prayers for those
Who simply believe – He brings two together
Completing their search for that miracle that is
A union of souls – two hearts becoming one!

"She"

Like
one of
these tears that
freed itself from
my misted eyes, you've slipped away from me.
Oh, that once again you'd caress my face
like this tear which
warmly slides
down my
cheek.

"He"

I
watch you,
sad lady,
from my table
and see myself that tear that trails your skin.
While you think of someone else, I'm dying
to be that tear
that lingers
on your
mouth.

Soul Mates

 Soul Mates

I remember the day the world fell away
as you walked into this place
Our eyes locked from across the room
and our souls felt the embrace.

It could almost seem like love at first sight
Our connection was deep from the start
I thought it was wrong this feeling so strong
but if felt so right to my heart.

Both of us were tied to another
our union could never be right
Each day you stopped in just to say hi
but soon you started calling at night.

You said our feelings must be addressed
as they certainly could not be denied
But I told you they must be suppressed
to our spouses, we don't want to lie.

Time moved on as it always does
you still came in every day
We remained friends just because
for now, there was no other way.

After a couple of years, I was promoted
my work was at a new place
But it never changed those feelings I felt
when again, I looked in your face.

You walked in with that smile so bright
I couldn't believe that after so long
all of those feelings still felt so right
that my heart sang a happy song.

My marriage was over, I had to move on
when I told you, you started to smile
I wondered where your mind had gone
then you confessed, yours had been done for awhile.

After all this time, we made some plans
to have our first date that night
When you placed a kiss on my waiting lips
We both knew ~ our souls fell in love at first sight.

Premium Member My Mates Mum

With her very shapely thighs
And her nice firm bum
I can’t keep my eyes
Off my best mate’s mum
We could have fallen out
But we’re getting on fine
I’ve got my eyes on his mum
And he’s got his on mine

Ben’s sat in the corner
As our teacher called him bad
He’d pinched the teacher’s bottom
Which had made the teacher mad
The teacher should be flattered
And should not make Ben feel sad
But I’m a little worried
’Cause the teacher is my dad

Well, I stood up for Ben
It’s just his teenage angst
A trip to the head’s office
Was my only thanks
I stood outside the door
The sign just said ‘Headmaster’
Inside I heard my mother screaming
Faster baby, faster!

A Billion Soul Mates

A Billion Soul Mates
By Rick Rucker

I don’t think that there’s one “soul mate,”
No more than there is a “perfect” date.

In searching for a match,
I easily found a glorious catch!

To say I love her, makes me a liar,
She simply set my Heart afire!

When I saw her, I felt Doom,
There she was, across the room,

I knew my Heart would not long last,
It would burn up very fast.

I saw her first, then she smiled,
Suddenly, my Heart went wild!

Her face was like a Vermeer painting,
Now, I was afraid of fainting!

I knew that I would fall in Love,
And said a prayer to those Above.

I was struck so hard by her beauty,
I forgot to do my “duty.”

In my hand, I held a rose,
But I was frozen, head to toes!

In front of me, the Love I seek,
Why can’t I get my tongue to speak?

Finally, with an effort heroic,
I tried to appear quite stoic,

And not drool all over her,
That we ate is still a blur,

The first thing that I recall,
When escaping from my thrall,

We were standing near her car,
The best date I’d had, by far.

As I watched her car leave,
‘Twas then that I began to grieve.

I knew I’d made the date a mess,
What she thought, I could only guess.

Driving home, I thought it through,
And decided what I’d do,

I’d not call her, in that way,
I wouldn’t have to hear her say,

That she’d not see me more,
Which would drop me to the floor!

After an agonizing week,
I called her, and in a voice quite meek,

And asked on another date,
“Yes,” her answer, I can relate!

A dozen more have we had since then,
We’re planning on what happens when,

We’ve become more than each other’s friend,
And we will be together ‘til The End!

And so, I’m trying to let you see,
That if a common guy, like me

Can find his Love, with this few dates,
There must be a billion “soul mates”

For each one of us,
A dozen on the next bus!

If you’ve not found her, don’t despair,
She’s just around that corner, there!

Premium Member Star-Crossed Soul Mates

It was in a different era from today’s when two soul mates met -
a time when a single woman could afford no blemish on her reputation.
For them to meet in public would require a trusted friend to be their sentry,
for one of them was engaged to a man she wished not to wed.
Under the guise of an enterprise in the home of the one betrothed, they met!

Once having met, the two had fallen deeply in love,
for how can one turn one’s sight from the visage of astral skies
once seeing the brilliance of bright stars in one’s soul mate’s eyes?
How can one not long to see their adored ever again?
Though it may have been a pernicious thing to do,
they chanced one day to traverse a valley to be with one another,
for nothing could dampen their anticipation of that rendezvous.
Their time was but one week together, and then it was ended.

Years later, the one who had remained single
sat watching the face of the one who had been forced into marriage,
who sat on the opposite side of the balcony of a theater,
not knowing her lover watched her secretly from afar as she listened
to the melancholy strains of music coming from the orchestra.
It was the symphony of their love story, and as it played on,
her eyes (two bright stars) wept beautifully sad tears.

Tentatively, I opened up to you with my soul.
I feel the calm connection that binds us as whole.

This Love we share makes me cry.
I beg and beg and wonder why!

You have chosen me, me! as tears start to flow.
You tenderly embrace me with love, that knows.

We stare deeply into our eyes, lost in love.
As our hearts open their wings like a dove.

Our souls are on fire as our hearts ignite the flames.
We are one, unbreakable, for our love will not be tamed.

SOUL MATES

From across the room
Her brightness evacuates my gloom,
As she looked at me
Slow mo' in retro is all I see.
Oh! The room stood still,
Ample time to Ravel in this thrill
As I closed my eyes

Levitating on a whole new height,
Reached out my hands for a show,
In return I got a solemn soul,
Our soul hold sway,
this gotta be the way;
That's when I knew we're soul mates
As I arrive at my earthen heaven's gate.

Soul Mates

When I first saw you with your eyes of blue,
I stumbled, I stuttered, I did not know what to do.
When you held my hand my heart would melt,
you always knew how I felt.
Holding you tight those many years,
sometimes I can't hold back the tears.
How happy we were in this life,
now my days are full of strife.
For we were soul mates my dear,
and one day again I will hold you near.

AUTUMN LEAVES-GROUP OF TEN COLLEGE MATES
==============

Summer ends, Autumn comes,
Days become shorter and shorter.
The green in the leaves fades away,
And red and orange take its place.

"Autumn Leaves" is a group of ten leaves,
Sprouted at Peradeniya fifty five years back.
Started meeting once a month with pot luck,
Each leaf gets a chance to host the others.

Though past the biblical age for humans,
"Autumn Leaves" function well and ably;
Readings, games,chats enliven our sessions,
"Autumn Leaves" enjoy their meetings.

Nature reflects our diminishment;
Leaves and flowers fall away,
And clouds move like our illusions,
Rivers become frozen like our lives.

Autumn passes, Winter enters,
One's remembrance , one's self-esteem.
Autumn leaves may wither away,
But it's memory and glory will always stay.

Darn! The wind is back with a vengeance.
Its howling,
making the trees and grasses become its instrument.
Gusts to 40 mph they say; I believe it.

But the sky is so blue and the clouds are illuminated from within.
Today the wind is so strong that I can smell the pine scent from the mountains —
from the mountains where his ashes swirl.

He lifts my hair and whirls it around my face, and in the scent on the wind
	I am awash with cleanness.
The tune he plays as he surrounds my body is one of memories, and greeting.

The wind slowly becomes more gentle;
caressing now; touching me in a more loving way.
Exploring with long cool fingers, around, reaching under my clothing,
	becoming intimate.

Forfeiting his boldness, with a sigh he leaves on soft goodbyes.

Darn, the wind is gone.

Soul Mates First Date

Prologue...

Should I lurk or should I lure?
I really don't know for sure.
But at any rate I shan't be late,
For I do not wish to hesitate
To appear at your front door!

I will walk,
And not stalk
Along the way
Will not stray...
(Jump that chalk!)

For your face doth wait
On our very first date.
I surely would hate
To show up late
And miss my fate!

Epilogue...

Now it's time to go,
Wouldn't you know?
I had a good time
And like this rhyme
I did love it so!

But we need to kiss
And then must miss
Each other's face
Away from this place.
(I'll remember this!)

Yes, you can now bet
I'll never forget
How I so love you,
And you love me, too!
(And also how we met.)
