Marshmallow Minions

Minions are so mischievous
but can be oh so sweet.

Three left in my son’s Easter basket
             could be a tasty treat.

Yellow covered marshmallows
         with beady chocolate eyes
dipped in sugar sprinkles -
           a sugar-rush surprise!

One gave me a stomach ache,
     one gave a cavity,
the other tickled till I cried.

                They're cuter on TV!

Premium Member Stone and Marshmallow Castles

Brick upon each brick I build
As I stack heavy stones one by one
Sweat and tears, love and fears
To create an earthly castle under the sun.

Damages by hurtful weather come,
Ravages against a fortress that was strong
With scrapped knees and promised pleas,
I feel defeated, do you hear my song

My sweet so sweet, little girl
With marshmallows, I will form
A castle complete, where we can meet
I wish to protect you from the storm

Like a father, you take my hand
Guiding me to our castle in the sky
No longer bound, to earth by stone
The world less daunting from on high

Look at the earth far down below
Above we're illuminated by the sun
The best part is your princess smile
You open the drawbridge for everyone

With open arms you greet each child
Joy everlasting awaits each one
Within this castle, where the angels meet,
Built with love and warmed by the sun

Premium Member Marshmallow Earth

marshmallow earth
spinning on gravity' stick
hovering over embers of the sun
perfectly singed
life begins-is
quickly overdone
licked by the embers of the sun
marshmallow earth
burnt to a crisp
deserted

Premium Member Sweetheart Dumpling—marshmallow

Oh my sweetheart, charming and eloquent,
Honey pie, sugar plum, with sweet raisins,
So soft like cotton candy that just melts,
My apple pie with ice cream and cherry.
Sweet as glazed donuts filled with apricots,
Tasty sugar dumpling in lentil soup,
Delish as juicy mangoes freshly picked
My shaking jello mixed with nice yogurt.
Sweet lips like honey with a dripping comb,
Such chanting bedroom eyes enticing me,
Your crimson cheeks symbolizing fragrance
Warm passionate breath stimulates my soul.

Such grander is my honey suckle doll,
Her charm turns me into a marshmallow!

Premium Member I Accidentally Let One Loose

I accidentally let one loose
while standing by a fire;
marshmallows burst in my wind;
the flames grew ever higher;
Jan fell bank into the cooler,
as ice poured down her collar;
Mikey wailed, just three years old,
and stomped his feet and hollard;
the loons on the lake stopped their song,
as the frogs all gasped for air;
the fireflies fell, one by one,
as the fish ate up their share;
the dragonflies rolled their eyes
and flew away to the moon,
as the cinders from the campfire rose
and yet spelled out their doom.

Marshmallow Heart

"Marshmallow Heart"

Soft touch
She’s a soft touch

Big cat’s lost.

Black and grey,
Striped and marbled,
marking steps wet

Unfriendly,
in an unfriendly
neighbourhood

Floors
10
A life spent in the pen

Soft touch
She’s a soft touch

The right bower waits
watching gently, stroking
a Marshmallow Heart

The hidden Jack smiles
somewhere in the Stack

Somewhere in the Kitty
a Marshmallow Heart
melting

Small life
Big city

The Marshmallow Moon

If the twilight welcomes the velvet sky,
If the light fades with a baby blue gloom,
Will it be the diamonds that shine up high?
Will they shine with the marshmallow moon?

Marshmallow Joy

White balls of deliciousness---
Loved bite after bite.
A smores delightful center
would not be the same.
My sugar-filled joy
formed as a
puff.

Premium Member Unrequited

My mind mainly meanders where I yearn –
A universe where I cannot return,
To lament my life’s unchangeable truth
And exhume choicest corpses of my youth.
Maundering 'midst marshmallow memories
Seeking past life to savor and restore.

Dully shuffling worn cards of yesterday,
To deal winning hands I can never play.
Marshmallow memories circling as pi,
Swirling with desires destined not to die.
Memory's garden does not need my care,
Mowing spring lawns that are no longer there.

Premium Member We Want the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man Dead Right Dad

My biggest most gigantic fear, the child Edward said
Is of Mr. Stay Puff Marshmallow man; I want him dead.
The mother who had been sorting out her husband’s shed
Did not know what to say; this was the blame of Ed.

You obviously do not know what you have done
This Ghost Buster binge watching has hurt your son.
She watched them together watch it one more time.
They clutched each other and screamed in rhyme.

Mr. Stay Puff Marshmallow is a terror said Ed.
I want him to die, his son said. I want him dead!
Mommy realized at this moment it was a bonding thing.
So, she tiptoed out quietly, and did not change a thing.

Premium Member Not a Marshmallow

Once upon a time was a princess
And a prince fell in love with her ways
In innocence did she impress
Enthralled was he when he would gaze
Upon her natural beauty and wonder
Her blue eyes cut straight to his heart
Her smile a cut above perfect
Her voice like no others impart
Eternal in sonic dimension
Angelic in echo and form
Captivating in subtle crescendo
Alluring and pleasantly warm
