Stone and Marshmallow Castles
Brick upon each brick I build
As I stack heavy stones one by one
Sweat and tears, love and fears
To create an earthly castle under the sun.
Damages by hurtful weather come,
Ravages against a fortress that was strong
With scrapped knees and promised pleas,
I feel defeated, do you hear my song
My sweet so sweet, little girl
With marshmallows, I will form
A castle complete, where we can meet
I wish to protect you from the storm
Like a father, you take my hand
Guiding me to our castle in the sky
No longer bound, to earth by stone
The world less daunting from on high
Look at the earth far down below
Above we're illuminated by the sun
The best part is your princess smile
You open the drawbridge for everyone
With open arms you greet each child
Joy everlasting awaits each one
Within this castle, where the angels meet,
Built with love and warmed by the sun

Thanks for inviting me to write, it was a pleasure.
