Premium Member The Persistence of Memory Painting by Salvador Dali - Collaboration with Dilly Dally

Caustic memories dissolve on my tongue
Lingering tastes of battery acid and nicotine
Cause me to choke on putrid saliva.
Staring at melting walls, clocks tick in unison.

Distorted birdsong hums outside of jagged windows
Under the warped sun, an unrepentant landscape blurs.
Freshly budding peonies liquefy;
Veils thin, evaporating the delusion of reality.

Why must I mould to the edges at your bidding,
Contort to the point of my own dysfunction?
For such fleeting worship, this devastation lingers -
Devours and disconnects my inner workings.

I lie highlighted in shadow, a beacon of quiet distress;
A dislodged scapula desperate to be labelled angelic.
Grounded, wingless, and forever out of time -
Wearing the last face you cared for as a comforter.

Neon venom warming twisted arteries,
Sinister patches stitched upon a breaking back.
A narcissist's crown digging into my head
Like rusted nails plunged into worm-infested wood—
Permanent disconnection, frayed cerebral cortex.

Blurred vision obscures insidious figures hiding in hushed corners,
Whispering in Babylonian tongue. Hallucinatory illusions haunt
What was a once-pristine sanctuary,
Now morphing into a surrealistic asylum.

Revelation exists above shadow in temporal machination,
I'm consciousness not yet swept up with sand;
Closed eyes cleanse my corneas - I rest in a balm of clarity.
Your power superficial, a cankerous cataract peeled clean off.

It is you who is bereft, washed up with the shell you created.
All the walls of your empty room fallen flat,
As I unfurl in the mirror beyond the shoreline,
I realise - it was never me you couldn't stomach.

Sweet Surrender

I would willingly lose myself, to find rest in your iridescence
Thirsting the taste of your sacred place, craving your inner presence
I would freely submit myself, offer my sweet surrender
Kneel at the altar of your love presenting gifts of endless splendor
I would happily give you my trust and all that it may hold
Intertwining our spirits one unto another until the two become one soul
I would willingly be consumed by your thoughts and take root within your dreams
Take you beyond euphoria, show you things, you’ve never seen
I would willingly taste of your skin and savor your blissful essence
Seductively sip of your springs, and relish your quintessence
I would willingly manifest your yearnings, make your desires reality
Ride to the realms of seventh heaven; act out your wildest fantasy
I would happily fall to my knees and worship you as a king
Reverence you with admiration, respect and untamed sexuality
I would freely wrap you within the warmness of my femininity
Liquefy your lingering lust, Melt onto your masculinity,
I would willingly freeze this moment in time, just to live this life with you
Love you the way you deserve to be loved.
The way that only I, can do.

Heres Heaven

Here’s Heaven

As we approach the Pearly Gates Heaven’s crew anxiously awaits
As our Soul soundly negotiates how to enter Heaven and debates
If we lived without sinister sin the Gates would open and we’re in
For now our new journey will begin without our earthly scrimy skin
~~~
The Gates open welcoming wide as we slowly walk worthful inside
We are greeted by an Angelic guide as they whisper here we reside
Golden gates behind stand mile high reflections of pearls in our eye
Where Angels faithfully fly climbing clouds for their love will liquefy
~~~
Rows of mountains protruding peaks for Heaven rejoices as it speaks
Kissing cherub’s chubby cheeks and nestled naps near curbing creeks
Riding rollercoasters reaching sky breathing ambient air of apple pie
Harps playing a luminous lullaby where shimmering streams beautify
~~~
Armies of botanical floral display where children dance to their ballet
A cheerful celebration every day and the sun shines bright never grey
On clouds of cotton candy chewing with robes of silk seemly sewing
Where our love is always renewing in the midst of Heaven's viewing.
Premium Member At the Millpond
The millwheel will not turn again till spring
for Winter’s icy cold grip holds it firm.
She squeezes it like Her private plaything,
though Her crushing power is but short-term.
As shorter days subtly lengthened; the sun
slowly began to liquefy the ice.
And the waterwheel shook, and almost spun,
while the miller posted his asking price.
Whispers ran through the town from door to door,
the ice is breaking up at the millpond.
And housewives could soon buy flour once more,
for each village, and its mill shared a bond.
The millwheel shimmies free from Winter’s grip,
shuddering as the water level peaks.
And as pressure increases drip by drip,
the pond ice melts, and the wooden wheel creaks.
Summers Sweet Caress
Summers Sweet Caress
In natures tranquil embrace cuddled within summers caress
I envision your fanciful face and my love for you can impress
Where the Cupids will brace their arrows with a floral finesse
And sunshine shall showcase its brilliance a fruitful fluoresce
~
Where the valleys open wide and will panoramically profess
That the rivers running with pride liquefy their faithfulness
Birds that gracefully glide and perch on ancient trees recess
And the towering trees provide soothing shade with success
~
The majestic mountains manifest and conveniently coalesce
Elegant eagles nestle in their nest then fly high with aggress
The summer breeze in its quest will lightly kiss and undress
Then the fragrant flowers breast as the honeybees oppress.
Endless Love
Endless Love
In its symmetrical beauty lies the vivacious void
Where stars and moons have been deployed
For within love there is neither time nor space
Only euphoric eternity in its perpetual peaceful place
Starlight of twilight in a twinkle of an eye
Love keeps expanding as we microbially multiply
There is more to love than what we know
No binding boundaries in its everlasting glow
Where angels silently scatter to idolatrously intensify
That tangible touch that love can losslessly liquefy
In its loving light you are comforted beyond measure
In its saliferous shadow there is great displeasure
For the lachrymal cries of love's controlled
Hell awaits in its deception like fool's gold.
I'm not putting down love...but sometimes it can be a bit deceiving lol
Premium Member It Tingles
A plethora of lights pierce the dark,
as a nightingale’s rhapsodic tune
drowns out a dogs evanescent bark,
neath the talisman of a full moon.
Radiant moonbeams dance on water
gliding sapphire and indigo waves,
as night absorbs black like a blotter
and the bats begin to leave their caves.
A chrysalis holds a butterfly
safe within its idyllic cocoon,
and crystalline dewdrops liquefy,
in the heat of a mid summer's June.
Such a night’s filled with felicity,
Nature proudly exposes Her heart
and like dulcet electricity,
it tingles, knowing you play a part.
The challenge from Silent One was to write a rhyming poem using all ten of the following words:
plethora, evanescent, felicity, rhapsodic, idyllic, dulcet, chrysalis, radiant, sapphire, and talisman.
A Different State
A battle with a dark past
What should have been
Still alive and here to last.
Promises and words liquefy
Standing without a thought
Nothing will begin to solidify.
Sitting in a fog with no clue
Feeling tired after a long fight
Frustration is an ugly stew.
Strangulation for the voice
The one lost down inside
Silence is bliss, now rejoice.
A Pondering Moment
a Pondering Moment
in the sensual hours of day...or night
can horrendously ache the mind
for every passing thought
leaves a sense of humane torment…or delight
they can ostensibly liquefy the heart
a split second of silence leads us back to the days
that we love so very much…or hate
and oh! how they tear ourselves apart
But we need them
These moments…
Keep us alive…or dead
Visage of You
Visage of you
Your delicate face
is a layer of a fine silk
which reveals the mystery of the heart
your picturesque eyes
are the most beautiful wellspring
which emit the myriad of shades
your elegant smile
is a soothing sweet fountain
with millions of sweet aromas
let every man to fathom
let every man to gaze
the visage of you
the reflection of your visage
liquefy
the solitariness of a frozen heart
and
cascade the purity of love
Pay 2 Play
Prepossessing pair liquefy as a still river’s exquisite glaze ~
An undercurrent ripples in the lazy meander to ply compliance
Yellow tones of twilight seep slowly, warming a cold demeanor
These two play in crepuscular light, ensconced in downy fur
Wearing black and white, is moonlit night,
only half-lit, as unfolding dawn's fawn, denigrates the dark...
Proportionate seconds rake nails in a rhythmic clickety-click
Long strokes make feasible winged flight, high with the half-moon:
a cogent straight-cut through a curve of semi-shiny symmetry
Yielding to heat, dews exuberant, deluge chilled lungs and fog river’s gaze ~
Assassinating Beauty
Contd
With time I could feel
My blood getting fainter and
The air that I breathe contaminated
With the bogus love of hers
My flesh started to liquefy
Burning away silently with the
Command of her eyes
But at my dismay
She did show me the real “Her”
Premium Member Bittersweet For Sourpuss
Remember when each of the tastes
bitter, sweet, sour, salty and umani,
had their own special place on your tongue?
When you could lick and flick a tongue tip
to savor one by one,
each titillating and tantalizing tidbit,
and avoid the bitter, sour and salty,
in the hors d'oeuvre samples and starters?
But turns out all the taste buds
of different types are a mishmash,
spread all over the palette
like mixed berry jam jelly on toast.
So blitz the blender,
pulse, pulse, pulse the mush to liquefy,
to make your next bender meld,
to an homogeneous amorphous blend,
a potpourri punch
fit for a sourpuss.
Freddy the Fly Gets a Fly-Sty In His Fly-Eye
Yup, just as you probably suspected, ol' Freddy the Fly did not yet die.  Oh me, Oh
my!!  But he did get a Fly-Eye-Sty, from landing in the Fly-Mai-Tai.
Now when you are a fly,
And you get a fly-sty,
It's major trouble,
Cause your 1000 part Fly-eye
Will mean a 1000 part Fly-Eye Good-Bye,
Well Freddy's problem resolved
into a Freddy the Fly Eye Sty,
And it brought pain and discomfort
to his Fly-Guy Fly Eye...
He thought it brought on a small plus,
That he could not see Nicole Fly
Go Fly By, therefore Freddy
The Fly did not have to Fly-cry
And lose his last fly's guy's
ounce of Fly-dentity
So he went to the fly-eye-doctor,
Dr. Frankenfly, to inquire why
His fly-eye-sty, wouldn't let
him fly-cry, and if by and by,
His fly-eye-sty would liquefy in his
Fly-eye, and thus he could
say a fly-goodbye to his fly-sty eye
So Dr. Frankenfly put fly-eye-drops
in Freddy the Fly's eye
And 1000 drops for each fly-eye
was necessifly'd for all those
multiple fly- eye- pieces of
Freddy the Fly's Fly-eye
And this was costly,
as you know why,
When Freddy the Fly,
got his fly-eye Dr. bill,
Freddy the Fly began to cry
He could not keep a dry fly eye
So as it turned out,
Freddy did Fly-lie,
and told Dr. Frankenfly
He'd send a check on by
In the blink of a fly-eye.
And off he flew,
And I tell you,
No sign of Freddy the Fly
was ever caught by any fly-eye.
Let's just hope our Freddy Fly
Did not fly-die.
Broken Soul
The way he speaks to me, just kills my soul in every possible way
Sometimes I just want to rip my own heart out, and throw it in the fire
For the way, a son speaks to his mother truly crashes broken glass
The way he doesn’t know me by now, only shows he will never know me
His mind only acts like a child, while his words speak like an untrained beast
It makes the heat from my blood, boil into flames
My tears can no longer down power, only wish on a star
That my son will liquefy all this anger he carries inside
For it’s only a different person I see day by day
As I sit and pray everyday
