Best Knowing Poems
While in the moonlit night he stood, his crew below asleep,
the captain gazed with knowing eyes upon the ocean deep.
A sinister tranquility was fleeing in the path
of moaning wind grown resolute in showing forth its wrath.
The moon, a pale pearl paradox, stared calmly down at him.
Then angry clouds obscured its face and everything was dim.
Behind the captain’s knowing eyes, his thoughts had grown astray.
They took him to another place where once he used to play.
He stood among the acres of unmoving solid ground,
where waves became tall stalks of grain the wind blew all around.
The first of many undulations crashed onto the ship.
He pictured rippling golden wheat and felt his vessel dip.
The men, awakened, clamored now. He prayed their deaths be swift
and gripped the wheel to navigate a ghastly forceful lift.
Imagining hot prairie sun, he viewed the huge cold swell
that came to bury them. . . and closed those eyes that knew too well.

Knowing She Sees How Deeply She Is Missed
(Tribute To That Greatest Of Love, A Mother's)
Blue-cold morns rising to light a fire
mother, cooked on wood stove truly ancient.
She out of sweetest of love's truest desire
provided nourishing food so patient.
Not asking praise for her unselfish deeds
washing dirty clothes in an old wash-pan.
By love's examples she planted new seeds
windy-flames of reliance such did fan.
Now time, with its many decades have flown
beloved mom, passed on to her reward.
We, her thriving huge brood, are now all grown,
feel her love and know why she worked so hard.
Knowing she sees how deeply she is missed
we thank her, each beloved face she kissed.

SONNET, (Tribute to our mother and to mothers everywhere, THAT SACRIFICE WITH THE DEEPEST OF UNSELFISH LOVE FOR THEIR CHILDREN)
------
I started this poem back in May, 2017. I finished the last two verses this morn.
Hesitant to post because I feel it is not worthy enough but alas (!), I also know with my meager writing talent , I can do no better.
Thus, with my wife's prodding, I post and pray it is deem worthy as a tribute by all that read and love ever so dearly their own wonderful and loving mothers!
Beauty That Rivals The Red Rose
He the gardener she the rose
She was only flower he chose
Days he gave her his very best
Under moonlight glow they both rest.
With great care he keeps her from harm
Always enamored by her charm
Whenever she mentions her thirst
Sate her needs, he is always first.
At dawn's first calling she wakes up
Her petals with his hands he cups
With true love, admiring her grace
This dark world together they face.
His life for her beauty so fair.
Together, love's beauty they share.

Are you who you are
or just a wanna be
Are you who you are
unable to fly free
Are you who you are
living just in today
Are you who you are
or merely who you say
Are you who you are
who lets inner talents live
Are you who you are
with so much love to give
Are you who you are
for He is who He is
I am,who I am
With Him,you surely can
The Joy of Knowing Jesus…
The joy of knowing Jesus is a blessing to know.
He brings peace and nourishment to my soul!
The joy of knowing Jesus brings a peace within.
Knowing that HE has removed my every sin!
The pleasure of serving Jesus is an honor indeed.
Knowing that he’s supplied and met my every need!
The pleasure of living each day, in honor to my king…
Helps me to realize that Christ is my everything!
This opportunity I have, is a special moment.
I know that I’ve been cleansed by HIS atonement!
This same Jesus can bring salvation to you today!
He’s waiting for you! And loves you in a beautiful way!
Won’t you take the time and receive him too?
See the marvelous work that he can do through you!
There’s a joy of knowing this Lord! He loves you so much!
He bless and restore your life by his special touch!
This can be the time, for you to come and accept him!
He wants to change your life! Won’t you let him?
Behold the king of glory! Hallelujah to the lamb!
He reaches out to all… With his loving hands!
Let’s thank Jesus for the joy that he’s given!
By his shed blood… We can all be forgiven!
He offers true love to all! And is what life is about!
He can change us now! And bring hope throughout!
The joy of knowing Christ is a pleasure to obtain!
We can find all we need! In his precious name!

It's the pain laced cold reality check
crashing winds hurricane blowing
the tail end landing with news processed
Suffering human rights ignored pains
through prides green eyes
a legion filled with envy
money signs the pact
Your a joke monster of a devil
whom mocks and violates this earthly gift
who armed Isis
Or any other of these so called rebel groups
world terrorists are to blame bullies
for such deadly sins taking life's of your fathers sons
They will curse you
to hell and back forever
the damned armed
with the devils tools
destruction of humanity creeps closer
Crawling dark matter
from the dirty underworld
dead bones rise
scattering ash burns to dust
Blood of our brothers and sisters spill
upon grounds seeking peace
sins with their poisonous greed
Oil is now the dark matter reaping souls
without Divine mercy kills with hate
His judgement comes on the final day
they hide in the mountains of who they are
Claiming to be something
they are not humane
begs the question inside truth
World dominating powers invade
with bombs to dominate and destroy a world's grace
Doomsday is there no end
to your horrid need for suffering
Your games Satan faceless entity
hiding in the shadows
a snake turns against God's seals
without spine dark matter
Think human morals out seriously
They have gone upside down deciding fate
our future generations life children cry
in the drop of a hat inside core
Out of this world
tilting balance towards revelations
trial of life
we see answers unfolding
blinded no more by falseness
good against evil begins the battle
I believe in faith
a great source
holding power over hate
so my prayers are for peace
dove of an angel sings the joy
with love and understanding
the book of good conduct
God blesses all those afflicted deeply
I know I made a mistake
a mistake that I cannot change
but I did it unknowing
not knowing the consequences
and there are many of them
not knowing I will lose you forever
and never be in your arms again
not knowing you wouldn't want me back
after all the times I've tried
not knowing I would feel so much pain
my heart aches and yearns for your love
not knowing I would lay crying so many nights
my eyes and head hurting from so many tears
not knowing you would move on
you no longer want me you like someone else
not knowing you wouldn't love me anymore
I still love you and always will
I hate what I did
not knowing the consequences
Knowing what she knew
she let them misconstrue
and righteous was her smile
it made her feel worthwhile
Knowing what she knew
Knowing what she'd seen
She wasn't really keen
to be played like the rest
she'd passed the hardest test
Knowing what she'd seen
Knowing what she'd heard
She kept alive the word
that gave her solace sweet
with pride the day to greet
Knowing what she'd heard
Knowing truth from lies
she saw past hungry eyes
Kept firm her strict resolve
her conscience to absolve
Knowing truth from lies
Those who do not know me
Often make suggestions as to how I could improve
How I should drive
How I should raise my children
How I should teach character education lessons
How I should fold my laundry
How I should clean my dishes
How I should water my lawn
Those who do know me......
Do not dare.
My words come from an innermost and secret place within me. Hidden feelings
that I have veiled and concealed over the years. Words that bleed with emotion
and speak of deep-seated pain and weep with tears. They spill onto my white
pages. All those inward words that I have held for years come dripping.
And I know that I have mastered my writing, I know my poetry is meaningful.
I realize that some may not like my words but it means nothing to me. For my
poetry is not measured by others or by being acknowledge somehow but by the
words that take my breath away. I have that kind of wonderful inner knowing.
sad words are falling
all the red orange and brown-
a feather floats by
I am absolute and certain that I am meant to write pain and definite death,
and my aboriginal heritage with boundless and unrestrained passion. I give
totally to this path. I am fixed and clear and infallible. Seems I am on a
mission to utterly enlighten others.
And when you read my words you will feel my compassion and empathy, my
love, sorrow and affection. You will glimpse and get an inkling of my journey
to the here and now, the rocky road that I have traveled. But, that road has
left me with feelings of absolute beauty, so I write poems beautifully sad.
and hidden birds sing
a song so melancholy-
calico cat stares
I feel we writers have to be mystical and in touch with our mysterious spirits,
there is a magic when you can connect with that otherworldly place deep inside
of your mind. Some may call this connection their spirit or their muse, or their
soul but when you find it, you will know and it is from that place you write.
For inside of self is your ego, your I and yourself. It is your essence and vital
force, it is your poetic heartbeat, it is where your mournful dwells and your
memories linger to be retold, for me it is my vitality and my journey that I
share, and it is where I keep my HURT.
the rain is falling
as I stand beneath the tree-
my tears fly away

I believe
Because I don’t know
I know the sun rises in the east and sets in the west
I know spring follows summer
Summer follows autumn
Then winter
But do I know God exists?
No, I don’t
That's why I believe
Why do you believe?
Because it gives me hope
It gives me strength
To march on with my life
My mother believed
She lost first three babies
Even before they could walk and talk
During WWII
She lost her son when he was 15
He volunteered to join Japanese army
To save his father from prison
After the war he came home injured
And died a year later
After liberation from Japan
His oldest son was labelled a communist
In the democratic south
Police harrased her
Day and night
'Where is your son hiding?'
'I don't know, Sir'
Was her only reply
During the Korean War
She saw her husband walking away
Between two soldiers
Never to return
All through her married years
She was harassed by Japanese police
Harassed by North Korean soldiers
Harassed by South Korean police
But she marched on
With her head straight
Her heart in compassion
She prayed without ceasing
Asking God for strength
To march on with her travails
She lived to ninety two long years
And left this world
With smile on her face
The whole world seems to have gone mad
For the foundations are being destroyed
Evil is called right and good is called bad
Drunken orgies the rage and godliness devoid
Surely His coming must be very near
And this message proclaim every seer
Shootings stabbings killings hearts in fear
Yet many live for the slot machine and beer
Evil is getting more evil still
Entertainment fun and every thrill
Laid aside is Gods purposes and will
The devil frantic and going for the kill
But all is not lost the victory already won
Son of God died on the cross for everyone
Though by the builders the cornerstone shun
He cried it is finished as victory was done
He defeated evil and hells on the run
The keys firmly with God's Son
He arose the third day and brightly shone
The devil defeated and his plans undone
These final days are birthing pains
The angels are fighting and daily territory gains
The devil pretends but his kingdom wanes
He had already lost but still he feigns
Soon to be secured by his final chains
So watch and pray and prepare
Soon the wheat will be separated from the tare
The Son will reign on earth the rightful heir
As God's will in heaven so will it be everywhere
God is eternal always and forever(a)
has no beginning and will have no end
in His holy word has revealed Himself
to be God almighty our forever friend
One can never know God too well
so daily exposure to God's living word(b)
is a real necessity to grow in grace
to neglect His word is truly absurd
Learning biblical meditation is so vital(c)
to chew on God's truth to deeply intake
grasping His truth and all it means
feeding on God's word for my soul's sake
Taking your Lord with you everywhere
never be embarrassed by what anyone says
keeping in step with His eternal word
be faithful to Jesus all your days(d)
Consider well my reading of the scriptures(e)
to depend on the holy spirit's direction(f)
be sure I'm walking in Jesus holy steps(f)
aim always listen to His gracious correction
(Bible references :
(a) Psalm 90: 2
(b) Joshua 1: 8
(c) Psalm 19: 14
(d) Deuteronomy 7: 9
(e) Psalm 1: 2
(f) Romans 15: 13)
I've written this after pondering on the following appraisal of knowing God and whether if I really do?
Have you read the Bible from cover to cover? Is the Holy Spirit your teacher? Are you walking in His footsteps?
The Word of God is not a buffet for us to pick and choose what we wish. God is the Word, so do you honestly love all of it and meditate on it with the goal of knowing Him so you can live according to His commandments while you abide in Him?)
Love and I… face to face at last…
remembering the dark of our
fall…recalling the presence
of our winter…when
the threads of my
pulse ran cold.
Do you remember love,
when the fire turned
to ashes…and we
sought the
forever
spring in us…
for we feared this
space between
life and death
without the
encounter
of
human touch.
Come to me love, like a jealous river…
eager to be a part of a frenzied sea.
Love…find comfort in knowing
…you and I will always be.
Death by morning death by night
All I know is I die tonight
death is here death is there
Death follows me everywhere
Death is here death is now
I already know that someone will drown
I know that it might sound bad
I know how I die and I'm kinda glad
I know its comming I know its soon
I know that it might be you
Knowing the truth and what I see
weather its you or weather its me
I guess we'll just have to see
In the morning if I awake
Than I know it was a mistake
I know it is bad but I'm glad
It was you and not me
The rest is fate can't you see
You might know in your heart
Of your death how it starts
But when it happens its not up to me
Its all fate can't you see
knowing this and knowing that
I am just stating fact.
What power does he feel?
Does he feel superior?
When he pushed her down?
When he violently grabbed her
By the arm, leaving bruises.
The beautiful mix of
Purple
Blue
Black
These colors are her favorite.
Does he enjoy watching the tears
Stream from her eyes, down each cheek.
He kneels. Kisses. Thinking it would make things better.
What about the time, he forced her out
From her comfort zone,
Into a stranger’s place
They call home.
Multiple men in and out.
He forces her.
What power does he have?
What right to to feel superior.
Belittling her, as a simple object.
Together with the color red, he loved
So he would paint her body.
From her face down to the gift that
God gave her that makes her a woman.
What power does he believe in?
This is right
Her body to be punished only because
He failed to make her to be his puppet.
What power he lacks?
The knowledge.
To know that women HAVE NOT
DO NOT
WILL NOT
Ever come with strings.
Her body, not made to be punished,
But made to protected.
Her body, not made for rape,
But made to be caressed.
Her body, not made to be unappreciated,
But made to be loved.
Her body, not his use
But for God’s use only.
