In the Knowing

Love and I… face to face at last… remembering the dark of our fall…recalling the presence of our winter…when the threads of my pulse ran cold. Do you remember love, when the fire turned to ashes…and we sought the forever spring in us… for we feared this space between life and death without the encounter of human touch. Come to me love, like a jealous river… eager to be a part of a frenzied sea. Love…find comfort in knowing …you and I will always be.

I particularly like the last 4 lines. The jealous river and the frenzied sea make for powerful imagery and symbolism..

Now your newest, a wonderfully written verse of the desire for companionship and the need for physical closeness.
