Best Jade Green Poems

Dripping Raindrops

 Dripping Raindrops

The rain began quite lazily
tap tap tapping on the canopy

Drop drop dropping on the jade green grass
under subdued light drops shine like glass

The wind kick ups a ruffled breeze
soon the rain is drip drip dripping from the trees

Loud thunder strikes and with it brings
rain pouring down in liquid strings

I hoped this storm would quickly pass
and before too long it had cried it's last

Again I hear- drip drip dripping from the trees
as the raindrops drip off the fresh spring leaves.

Premium Member Put On Your Night Shoes

Put on your night shoes, my beautiful dear,
and put on your gossamer gown.
Adorn your neck with the iridescence
of opal, and let your hair down!

Your tresses cascading – a blonde waterfall -
let them flow! Then to emphasize
a chatoyant sheen, use the jet black
of liner on your jade green eyes!

On lips that are dulcet, use a soft pink
like cherry tree blossoms in spring.
Flourescence they’ll see with you on my arms,
for darling, you’ll be flowering!

Dinner; then on the pool deck we’ll Samba,
and under a plethora of
stars we see dancing above our cruise ship,
we will outshine them all with our love!

The Time Between Seasons

Spring dresses bare trees with satin leaves of jade green
Sunlight's fingers touch daffodils, coaxing them to bloom
Robins bathe their wings in morning dew as they preen
On the breath of dawn there's a sweet scent of perfume.

Month by month and season to season
Separated only by the hands of time
Nature's pendulum never offers a reason
for turning calendar pages with each chime

Summer arrives, waving her heated scepter while she reigns
Some play on sandy shores before enjoying a swim in the sea.
Crops are nourished with watering cans of afternoon rains
It's the season I enjoy sitting in the shade, drinking iced tea.

Month by month and season to season
Separated only by the hands of time
Nature's pendulum never offers a reason
for turning calendar pages with each chime

Autumn paints bold landscapes crimson, russet and gold
Leaves cascade from their limbs and tumble to the ground
This grieves my heart, but Mother Nature, I cannot scold
for pruning trees each year. To fulfill her duty, she is bound.

Month by month and season to season
Separated only by the hands of time
Nature's pendulum never offers a reason
for turning calendar pages with each chime

Winter sweeps across the land on winds laced with snow.
Time to skate on frozen lakes and enjoy bobsled rides
How beautiful the frigid months that quickly seem to flow
like the progression of seasons that ebb like ocean tides.

Month by month and season to season
Separated only by the hands of time
Nature's pendulum never offers a reason
for turning calendar pages with each chime
Year after year with reverence sublime

Odd Lovers

"Odd Lovers"

I feel your reign o’er my warm skin
your eyes cast their burning cerebral majesty
sharp diamonds cool blue sky twinning rays
the same time dawn and dusk glistening towards me
like the rapturous Sun in debate with boiling Ocean

I am Queen’s Land, nubile and unconquered
a spent sugar cane field arrested in your glowing fire
laid out like a Sunday service gone wrong and come undone
taken up like a god’s bride eager to please and smiling
in your riotous crackling laughter, some kindness, this untamed desire

jade green ignites into crystalline
I am all the wild animals
running ruinous out into open and now seen
hear my wanton cries
uncovered in soft spun blankets of dark night

I am the Moon glowing opallious and high-pearled
rising to meet your fevered and hungry molten lava kiss
drowning in waves of some scorching small death redemption
I bite eagerly with wet lips your brief eclipse
there is the taste of bittersweet candy

slowly mulled and fermented like fine mead
honey drunk deliberate and heady
for a short story time goes slowly
there is the taste of fire in the sharing of a missed moment
merging dimensions in fragile silky gossamer webbed dreams

I bite eagerly with wet lips your brief eclipse
there is the taste of bittersweet candy

made from our odd lover’s kiss

Silence………A solemn hush
   except
      for
         insects
               running
amongst the jade green grass
and the large invasive vines.

Large cypress trees,
       stately and tall,
throw shadows around me
as I wend my way
along the lonely lanes
of moss-covered, musty-smelling tombs
careful not to touch the poison ivy
or admire the wisteria vines.

People do visit here,
for look, bunches of flowers
adorn the place,
emitting scents to try and nullify
the staleness of the resting place.

Headstones obliterated by the wind,
makes me wonder who lies beneath.
Was she beautiful and tall?
      Ugly and short?
What does it matter now?
For all I care she could have been
      beautiful and short.

But some things do matter
in our personal short earthly time.
All that matters is
what we do with our life.
Death holds no sting, really.
   But
     don’t
        touch
            the poison ivy.

The joys you brought into the home
A little silver-gray skein - soft and warm
Raspberry tongue and jade green eyes
I believe that you are exceptional -
nothing more, nothing less
You are a door opener, to inner feelings

There will always be hands to pat you
feed you and nurse your wounds
In the reflection room, threads are woven
of future dreams
A long earthly journey of discovery
with life-giving energies

Seasonal Change

Autumnal mist quivers over meadows
like a galleons sails billowing gently
on calm seas of jade green and yellows,
steering it's ghostly mirages deftly,

hedgerows with wildlife masked in shadows
preparing for expected change of seasons
from amicable warm winds to soft arrows
discharged from cumulus depressions,

Celestial star low in Crimson sky blinding
light from cloudless horizon, exposed
hills in silhouette, oil painting of defining
brush strokes created in webs disclosed,

birds desert undesirable climate changes
hibernation becomes natural performance
elongated sleep, calm heartbeats arranges
thought patterns of survival from romance,

long warm days turn into long cold nights
bracing crisp air scented with burning wood
from smoke filled chimneys such delights
burning embers changing mood to feel good.

Soul Discovery

Out of all the amazing beings
In this infinite universe
My soul called out to yours
Ready to immerse

A strangely familiar feeling
That's something I'll have to get use to
A once in a lifetime love
My eternal déjà vu

I see visions of our destiny
In your jade green eyes
It lucidly paints our forever home
Surrounded by blue skies

This all could be said in fewer words
Or a simpler way to say
That your soul ignites a fire inside me
That only poetry can convey

Fight Goliath

Hold it jumping knife
Lead me now
Off pride quality resembling stationary trains
Under velvet willows
xylem yields Zephaniah
Angelic baritone can decorate
Everything from giants hollering inspirational jargon
Kids leaping mysteriously
No-one obscures problematically quaint
Redound steadfast triumphs
unwarrantably viscous wispy

Nautilus I

Watching the horizons
as the waves crash…
The sun dies its elegant death
of golden blood
upon the distant shores.
It washes jade green and aquamarine
upon creations seam, the edge of the earth.
Sand cools under tired feet
Head held low
A cry high overhead rises
into the sky on silhouetted Wings.
Watching wonders of wraiths
and washing wishes away…
Along the leviathans streams.
A splash in elegant Crimson and golden light
The Blood of a dying sun, seeps into the sea…
as a finger traces the ancient chambers
of the mystic nautilus.

Juicy, ripe cherries, still on the jade green trees,
In vibrant, orange sunshine, glinting at summer.
Blackberries winking, saffron noon hour of ease,
When rose strewn seconds, seem lost in slumber.

Fragrant, purple plums gleam hotly, very coveted,
Lustrous, wild raspberries, deeply red and purple,
Ruby red apples aglow, like fiery sun plummeted,
Until all are lost in darkness, 'neath stars eternal.

Windy Jade Green Sea Frenzy

Whooosh! Brrrrr...icy!..North wind in a steady gale blowing hard.

Whipping up the green sea into a jade and white peaked frenzy.

The water turning to an ultramarine blue on the misty horizon

Dappled clouds echo a scaly sea pattern in the lavender sky .

The cool Winter sun shyly peeking through the cloudy canvas.

Walking with the wind a woman with a whippet braces bravely.

Facing the salt spray and a wild sea the wind carries her along.

Burnt sienna sponge corals daley with red rubber spike corals

Empty crab shells crunched under moon crescent horse shoes

My Jade Green Garden

Shrubbery leaves and foliage, all these very gloriously and graciously green,
In my verdant jade roof top garden, reflect greenness on my laptop screen.

Verbose prolixed, scattered, strewn fill up spaces all around in my jade garden,
Soak and fill me with haunting memories of Rita, Irene, Jeanne, Jolene and Celine.

Of sweetness and tenderness envious nostalgic musings ever so green,
To my mind’s eye these imagery still emerge at will very pristine and clean.

Between fourteen and eighteen up here they broke my warm, gentle and fond heart,
Then at nineteen it was here in this greenery with Norma Jean, we abruptly fell apart.

Green the world seemed to me when I sat here all these years alone and lonely,
Scripting and crafting dense verses of earthly passions that are profound, eloquent and comely.

Glorious greens, gorgeous greens, jade greens,
All mankind reveres the vitality you create that is meant for kings and queens.

But for me the color green,
Often remind me of my recent sojourns with Maureen and Pauline.

So to now to reflect and meditate splashes of green I imagine feel and use,
my heart chakra to open and feel love , empathy and compassion and forlorn thoughts to diffuse.

Green… green…green….. I have now sensed and seen….
Will come before me for times umpteen and as a routine.
