Premium Member Not Meant To Last

I opened my eyes at birth
and cried out in shock and pain.
For I found myself on Earth
and it seemed strange and arcane.

I didn't want to be here
in this world of hate and scorn.
And with clenched fists and a tear
I protested being born.

I left the warmth of the womb
for a future with no past.
And my birth will end in doom
for life is not meant to last.

God intends souls to suffer,
or at least it seems that way.
For life keeps getting tougher,
and it doesn't help to pray.

I search for a glint of hope
in a world devoid of light.
And though I've learned to cope,
misery's not far from sight.

One day I will be no more
life will simply slip away.
And death will slam shut the door
that opened on my birthday.

Immortal Pain

The heart I had,
	The feelings I possessed,
	Are now in vain,
As my heart is in pain.

	The glowing cheer died,
	My heart now cried,
	But the emotions I show,
	Makes my heart bow.

	The crack that widens inside,
Is getting more and more wide,
No one feel that from outside,
And no one intends to get inside.

My sun has set in my heart,
	Feelings to live more depart,
	But I need to live,
For the great contribution I should give...

Love Letter

I saw you many times throughout the years
and knew you as the brother of my friend.
How is it that the world can coax and steer
us to or from the person fate intends?
For seven sunless years, you hid from sight,
just waiting in the wings for unknown cue.
My heart was burning out with waning light,
but you were coming slowly into view.
I know we took each other by surprise -
I never thought you'd be the one to light
the flame that once burned softly in my eyes;
with tenderness, your love restored my sight.

Now even on the darkest days, I shine
to know your noble heart is truly mine.

Autumn Pie

Apple pie, fresh from the oven
cools on a rack, whiffs of cinnamon-nutmeg
aroma rise through the pastry vent
then drifts out through
the kitchen window opened an inch or so
mingling with a hint of moulder on the breeze.

The apple peelings still lay on newspapers
on the counter, deep crimsons mottled with yellow, green
mirror fall leaves of brilliant hues.
Is this a coincidence? Perhaps - but perhaps not -
possibly nature intends apples such colours
as a reminder autumn is close at hand.

The pastry, free-formed into an irregular shape,
rustic, like nature. Trees, some now partially stripped
of leaves, expose gnarled limbs twisting and turning
madly off in all directions. Showing its imperfections
yet is beautiful in its own way
silhouetted against an October deep azure sky.

Reminiscences of baking apple pie
snapshots in an album in the mind's eye
retrieving them, recollecting that day will sustain
when December's snowflakes flutter about,
when January's winds wail and
when February's blizzards drift high against the doors

NOT WRITTEN FOR A CONTEST

I often write about the ocean's secrets,
of its crashing waves that roar in apogee
and the treasures it washes upon the shore.
I've verses founded on tales of sailor's lore.
Stanzas about fragile seashells and abalone
and of gulls noisily squawking in cacophony.

I've penned Sonnet filled with romantic notions
in which mermaids live in depths of oceans.
I wrote I'd found Atlantis beneath the waves,
and chests of gold and silver in a maze of caves.
I am always watching out for predatory sharks,
for in ocean waters, they are considered hierarchs.

I've claimed the sun cries when twilight is nigh.
When his day his done, he yawns his 'goodbye.'
I narrated epics of its tide, controlled by the moon,
and of sirens who lure men with a beguiling tune.
Poems tell of typhoons, caused by Neptune's hand,
and of shipwrecks, men and cargo strewn on sand.

The ocean beckons to me as I stand on the cliffs.
It speaks in the breakers. My thought often drifts
to how beautiful are the waters that God has made.
It covers most of Earth's surface with salty brine.
The magnitude of its power, I would dare not define.
Much is unknown about what lies beneath the deep
but all its secrets, it seems, the ocean intends to keep.

A Child Within

The sensation of butterflies flying within
As your heart joyously sings
An Angelic being growing inside
As your growing tummy gets harder to hide

The bond with your baby already so strong
You pray that nothing will go wrong
The instinct of the Mother already working
For any dangers that may be lurking

Your tummy ripples, your baby has awoken
The love you feel needs not be spoken
Upon your tummy you place your hand
On the growing bump that continues to expand

What a wonderful, magical time to be alive
Harbouring a soul that intends to eventually arrive
Keeping baby safe, warm and protected
While the umbilical keeps you literally connected

Being in control of the life of another
Is a great privilege to any a Mother
Never take this role for granted, EVER
As the way you shape your child, goes on forever.

Premium Member The Armor of God

Truth is a part of our armor of God
It needs to always be with us,
A constant source of good within,
Leading us to be who He intends.

Righteousness is a part of our armor
God’s grace gives us the opportunity
To be filled with good things that He gives
To those who are filled with His Holy Spirit

Peace is a part of our armor of God
It helps us to meet trials with a tranquility
That shows others God is with us inside
Giving us reassurance and spiritual insight

Faith is a part of our armor of God
It is the answer when we can’t even pray
Filling us with assurance that we have grace
That saves to the utmost, forever we’re saved

The helmet of salvation is a part of our armor
Reminding us just why we have this joy within
Leading us through trials, worries and sorrow
Toward brighter moments with Jesus beside us

The word of God is a part of our armor of God
The Bible is called the good book for a reason
It gives us all the wisdom we could hope for
There on those pages, we find every answer

Prayer is another part of the armor of God
Without it we wouldn’t have the relationship to Him
Where we can go to Him as a child to a Father
Asking for anything and knowing He will answer

Put on the full armor of God each day
And there isn’t any doubt that He will guide
You along your way, filling your life with
Hope, faith and love that is from His hand

Read Ephesians 6: 14-18 where it lists the seven things that God considers our armor

Entangled

Growing, growing, tall and strong, vines and thorns they are,
Enveloping my body, leaving bruises, scratches, scars.

Only getting burdensome i try my best to flee,
But when i try to rip away the thorns cause me to bleed.

I stand still for a moment, and try to plot my moves,
But if i try to free myself I know that i will lose.

The trap intends to kill me, no matter how i try,
No matter how i fight it, I am certain i will die.

I once had hope but now i see that there is no escape,
Cuz i was born within these thorns, so see its only fate.

Some of you were meant to live, your minds will let you fly,
But some of us are anchored here, and born to live in lies.

Lies of hope, lies of dreams, lies of empty choices,
The only truth we understand, it lives within the voices.

Entangled in these voices, and thoughts inside our brains,
When everything is stripped away the voice is what remains.

So how do you escape something, the only thing you've known,
And how do you ignore it when the thorns dig into bone.

You can't, you see its always there, the voices let them flourish.
And since the voice is here to stay, you know the vines stay nourished.

Voices, thorns, they're two in one, they feed off of eachother,
So whats the point, its time you see that you're becoming smothered.

Is this it, is this the end, do you know where you are headed?
Its hard to say cuz to this day you're still deeply embedded.

In the Light of Dark Comings

Faith is only troublesome when
You lose it in the very thing that
Was supposed to create more of it

Here, shame manifests itself in Doubt,
developing a disappointment You Feel
toward yourself for a simple failed trial

The money is gone with no way to pay
I pray for more time on the clock
But hard times are clearly inevitable

I'm ready for the test this time
But fear comes with it for the
Universe usually see this as a dare

The fear in having my faith tested
Comes from the gathered evidence
Of my always giving up early

My strength is my constant effort
To produce more faith
In the light of dark comings.

I am not hoping in results but in the
Certainty that I will become what
God intends regardless of circumstances

Change comes to me now as I
Go to God for the connection
That creates better

I am gaining focus as I follow
In Gods direction to growth
In sight of the trap of the circle

I am spiraling upwards as I write
The truth that I death grip as
I ascend towards improvement

I am protecting my faith through the
Gratitude I feel for all the things
That challenge and have challenged me

So I am working assured, knowing
This time I trust in confidence
Even though I have nothing to show for it

Premium Member Autumn Prayer

Leaves of all colors; orange, red and gold..
Crackle beneath my feet as I traipse across the lawn
A shimmering sun dawns bright and mirrors my heart
Filling this beautiful Autumn day with a gentle thought
Love is all powerful, all knowing and all that makes me
Into someone I can trust as God intends me to.
Leaves flutter through the air, inviting me to prayer.

Solipsist

Let the Deicide commence.

You're a voyeur at best!
Your vampiric heart is beating out of your chest!
And you have slayed the ones whom would love you for anything less
Ready to consume the final fragments of innocence,
And for you there is no forgiveness,
On your knees pleading, screaming to a tyrant in the skies;
The father of lies.

I will never be enslaved in your superiority
The people agree: jaded of your false dichotomies.
Know: I will be whomever nature intends to be
Apollo and I will share our dreams,
and you will be forced to see
your failure!

I know who you are...
Readily the first to present your scars
Chained by some despot or mental czar
An emotional homunculus in your mind, behind bars
Reluctant to escape - even when proven fake
Your demented mind - depths no one will penetrate!

...And you see me suffering
Not caring of any casualties
Just as long you recieve your safeguard of sympathy
So very wary of the masses and their Anarchy; Liberious ways

Solipsist - Is there no one you can see?
Even if she was presented burning?
Solipsist - Is there no one you can believe?
Even if Sophia was screaming?
Solipsist - Know you have killed and abused me
Imprisoned in your own personal reality

"I wear my hat as I please, indoors or out"
-Walt Whitman

I walk the land as I want,
the flutter of the dove shudders my
eyelids, dodging my step.
My soul, linking all souls, passes through
trees on my trail, bounding among planets
glimpsed between the apex of pine. I have
no fear of being beyond my body, nor
does the seed that falls from spent flower,
anguish beyond time. The unseen bloom,
millenial light-years away, shares
inherent liberty. Many will gather these
words and hold them to the highest light,
that of our Creator, whose compassion
trifles not with material gain, but with
justice and liberty for all living things,
(equal with respect to all previous
sufferings and triumphs centuries before)
So it is with high diligence I value the true
compass of man and woman, forever
linked with our inalienable rights, as
nature intends.

Gold Digger

half his age
and nearly twice his
height
pretty as a picture
but none too bright

he loves her open
arms (and legs) –
his “tart”
spread-eagled on his
sports-car’s bonnet

she likes him for
his open mind and
open heart
but most of all –
his open wallet

she intends to stick
with him through
thick and thicker
and is most
“concerned” about
his dodgy ticker
