Premium Member The Mourning of Mother Earth

You, unfeeling creatures
Who call yourselves human,

You, fleeting bubbles of reason,
Accidental parasites of time,

You, filthy microbes of cancer,
Ephemera of invincible eternity,

You, who try to fill your vanity
With abominable crimes,

You, insensible butchers of animals,
Notorious destroyers of pastures,

You, contaminators of oceans,
Deleterious polluters of rivers,

You, menacing beings of harmony,
Transgressors of universal laws,

You,
Who deliberately have put me through
The tormenting agony of dying
By
Strewing your treacherous dark web of
Your unworthy ambitions, all over my face,
Shadowing my generous fertility and
Rendering me sterile,

Behold,
For the time has come for you
To feel my wrath and my fury
Boiling lava over you
To flow every day,

Kneel,
Your tiny mortal beings
In front of the immortal cosmos,
For the shiny heavy sword of
Universal justice,
Punisher of transgressions, guardians of
The eternal laws,
Over your thoughtless heads to fall
With vengeance and rage
Decapitating the most of you and
Those who would survive
Shall feel the torturing pain in
Their hearts
For
Uncountable years!*

* This poem I wrote in 1985 in Montreal, Canada when, as a co-founder of a peace movement, was making efforts to raise conscientiousness for to save mother earth. It was posted here on the 28th of November 2012 with the title:"The Rage of Mother Earth". Now, with minor editing, is re-posted with its original title of 1985: "THE MOURNING OF MOTHER EARTH." THIS IS A STERN WARNING TO ALL OF US WHO DESTROY HER: REMEMBER NOT MUCH TIME IS LEFT TO SAVE OUR PLANET AND OURSELVES!

Secluded Life

Wrapped in somnolent skin
Deprived
Of any sensation whatsoever.
Dispassionate,
Insensible.
Vacant eyes dissolved in smudges
Of weariness.
And behind, deep inside – a secluded life.

It should be careless.
True, it is indifferent to
Material world,
External disturbances,
Even to its own
Body – as if the body is a foster child
Molested by the malcontent
Father
Neglected by the mother who's tired
Of it all.

But inside, deep inside there is
Its preoccupation with itself.
It feels the external
But doesn't feel
As a part.
Inside life is lived
Truths are revealed.
It breeds, it grows, it protects, it nourishes itself.
It loves.

Secluded – because able to be constructed
And expanded on its own.
AND because it is in its nature
To be secluded.

Premium Member The Uncanny Stranger

The stranger is strange, pariah, leper sounds offbeat,
 Neither truculent, nor relevant, all destined to encounter the doomed relic;
The bizarre outlander, alien to stimulate the instant pulse-beats!
The uninvited hobnobber, one despises to welcome in routine frolic.
The stranger is unsolicited, the object of latent fear,
As strange may be the ways of the unbidden ones' intentional cares!
The stranger is unfaithful: weird to tranquility, comfort and cheer,
For the sceptical one, we become anxious by a mere fateful encounter!

The stanger lies in our conscience; in a distant land in paradoxical disguise.
Masquerade, the image generates an uncanny fear to sigh!
Sounds delinquent to subjugate the wires of prudent conscience!
Nonetheless, cogitates as usurper of peace; an ineffable parti pris.
Self-centred, they are loquacious, spell bound like con stars;
Babbles from the masks, camouflages as the epitomes of pretenders.
Unknown, unfamiliar, stirs alarms not to mingle, to be away, to be cautious.
In disguise, comes the alleged stanger to ruin ones' peace to shudder and shatter.

But the most alarming of all preconceived archetypes, are the strangers:
Who lingers on, as routine friends and well wishers,
On whom we doted on, are the real dear strangers,
Who by feigning friends, acted quisling, an obvious stranger!
'Hold!' sometimes left us dumbfounded with their insensible fickle deeds;
Even when the unknown stanger might spare and stand by us in awful needs!
When our intimate ones deny to wink at the distress;
While busy in spilling the beans, our woes go unnoticed by the feigned well-wishers.
Indeed! They are the untagged apparent strangers, fugitives in our trials.
Beware of those strangers, whom we adore as near and dear ones, 'bosom friends,'
the agnates and cognates, to entitle the crown, “an actual stranger" who elopes in tmes of miseries!

Indifference

Tis indifference that shameth the soul

for it casteth a burgeoning shadow of sorrow.

Shouldest not compassion stir the soul to move

for such is the sacred sanction and the golden rule;

to love one another and seek thy brothers higher good.

Answereth me now hath empathy averted her eye

insensible to the stings of conscience and the hearts enbittered cry?

Can'st thou with deliberate distain thy neighbors forsake

when to thee his empassioned petition make?

Nay, for this I can avow, the heart raiseth a nobler thought

that the brotherhood of mankind will triumph when forgiveness

and love are sought

The Better Brew

Peter Beechey capped the last bottle, of the latest Lager that he'd brewed.
He's changed his recipe this time, so the argument will be renewed.
He say’s the Lager that I make is not near the standard that he sets,
now we'll argue this for hours until we’re finally making bets.

Stout, lager, bitters labeled; the smell of malt drifts through the shed.
Air-locked and popping through the water; a brew ferments below a head.
Us pair have now refined the art; our little breweries come of age.
No longer do we show impatience - we've stopped bottling hand grenades.

Both of our stocks have built up now and so of course the word soon spreads.
This means the visits from the connoisseurs; blokes each home brewer dreads.
On weekends we roll out 'Hilly' - insensible - to which beer is best.
Even the local cop and publican closed the pub to take the test.

Water, yeast, malt - but no sugar - clarity and flavour of the hops.
The head, right down to the barley, but the disagreeing never stops,
and 'Hilly' never cleared one point; our beers were locked in similar status.
We need an independent to give a true scientific basis.

I suggested what we ought to do, is send samples to the public analyst,
for he will clear the finer points; the ones that obviously we missed.
Three weeks later in the mail, his analyzing caused a further strain -
'Gentlemen, I regret to tell you - that neither horse will race again!'

Emotions

The emotion of your call came over me and I can't stay impassible
this silent keyboard which I can get wonderful sound
my fingers are moving, and can not resist petting and be sensible
the first notes escape and fly in dark night aground

The night is conducive to desire and fantasy
each note one by one is delicately balanced
stronger than a caprice, in pleasure I slip easily
Soft music flies to a new space, light and spiced

I feel within me with every movement of my hands
as a violent storm, strong and melodious
this wave through me and takes me far away to the end
in a world of accents lyrical and harmonious

The strength of a desire expressed beyond the mountains and seas
the inevitable need to create and to leave in the joy of playing
I lose myself In a divine and solitary ecstasy which it releases
under the sweet stare of the silvery moon smiling

               -----------------------------------

Stand Up

Senses defeated; defile of insensible

are stepping boldly, with motives ostensible,

to take pledge upon our platform honorable.

List of agenda is: Power extensible!

Frustrations of the mass is just regrettable

with a history of deeds abominable.

Who to address in moments insufferable?

Despotism in democracy: deplorable!

We oppose their resolutions reprovable.

Stand up to make those imposed rules revocable

and join the minority for action noble.

Or bear now, cowardly, those dishonorable!

Rules of the Morons

Senses defeated by the defile of insensible

Who stepped in with motives ostensible

To take pledge upon our platform honorable,

With list full of agenda for power extensible!

Frustrations of the mass just regrettable

Living consequences of action abominable.

Who to address in this moment insufferable?

Dictatorship in democracy, how deplorable!

Where to turn for their decisions reprovable?

How to make those imposed rules revocable?

Unfortunate for the majority lot expugnable,

Today innocents to pay what unacceptable!

Bear now one upon another, the dishonorable

Or stand up to end the conspiracy, if you’re capable.

Join today the minority of people with action noble!

Soul Ingrate

“SOUL INGRAIT”

Look where you have ended up.
A place so filthy and lonely;
us
to dissever.
Converse to interrupt
Mutated to plastic;
so fake, so phony,
When will enough be enough?
Unrecognizable, no cognition
Insensible & dishonor,
needing to comprehend
How you are; truly desolate and lost.
I abdicate on reaching what once was you.
The reflection,
an aberration of hopes and dreams
Obduracy to rescue;
clairvoyant and blind.
Avoiding all honesty
Masking all that dirt
filling up inside.

Anima

what to do for spilt blood,
naught else but to write,
urgently before it dries,
dies, these words,
would produce little affect,
had they been vein written,
draw red out from the surface,
blue or black,
as stilled waters they run,
deeper, drowning in depths opaque,
ink this is my blood,

perception and repetition,
the unwelcome servants of time,
suffer through reliving,
side effect of the subjective,

by the cliffs the wind,
toils but never tires,
a stranger to love's bidding,
floating upon the sea like fog,
fall through the frame,
never down but inward,
windows of sight close,
veiled they drift away,
the mind recedes within,
even as imagination projects,
ether dreams keep the gates,
the soul confined insensible,
night and its oceans,
run on from Marathon,
the conscious life provides no cross,
examination another season staring vacant,
these walls can speak,
only my name,

guilt is the nightmare you know,
will come tonight,
premonitions of a past,
that is present,
the faithfulness of a familiar spirit,
history and hypothesis press,
on both sides,
until all condenses to singularity,
a point abstract and finite,
nonexistent,
guilt is an alter no sacrifice satiates

Self Portrait

My hand hangs from the stirring wheel,
Insensible, to the mind noosed reasoning work
and nature’s clock repressing the other wrist of a confined ideal
My eyes declare thru the windshield an undemonstrative lurk
and conscience waterboarded by a stimulant
The faded, light and long strokes depict
A thinker stifled, suffering a long-term imprisonment
Do you believe in sacrifice for other’s freedom?
Do you accept scaling the entrails of your wisdom?

Alas! Valor mounted on black wings
A bird, ravenous, painted under the fender
If to live, is carried out in one who brings
Entertainment, from joy, by a creator
And food, a sour carcass as a chimera, held in claws
You should amuse to create with a craving appetite
Instilled the bird gored and digested the applause
Are you prepared to die for this continuance?
Are you willing to defend imagination’s allegiance?

Passion is a purple seed filled and fruitful heart
Sacrifice is death’s wishbone
My memorial, in remembrance, gifts the long part
The bird's thankless effort snaps off the short end to own
I enlists work under power of ball and chain
Which of the two will you fulfill?
And the bird evades an unbidden will of pain
Do you take this obligation freely?
Will you discharge this duty well and faithfully?

Premium Member I Am So Annoyed

I am so annoyed

Ringtones I cherished once
are now mere headache,
Buzzing at odd hours
advertisements, bank calls,
saving schemes,
As if being paid
to waste precious time
and annoy people ?
Who gives them numbers?
I simply go crazy........

Social media
so much negativity,
Insensible discussions
biased against some,
Religious issues
put to flame, why ?
To promote hatred
and violence, why ?
I just can't stand........

Where are the owners?
The politicians,
The so called learned,
spreading the fire
and flaring up civil war,
Justice denied,
Corruption flourishes,
Govt offices taking bribe,
I am out of my mind.....

Even the top educated
throw waste on roads,
Spitting and smoking
at public places,
Cry our waters
on getting polluted,
Noise irritates
even the sick at hospitals,
The air we breathe
gases beyond permissible,
Eating up greens
In name of development,
I am so annoyed......

Do we leave to our young,
A world of misery?
Selfishness and hatred?
Poor birds and creatures
on verge of extinction?
Nature crying
exploited mother Earth ?
Wake up wake up,
you hearts bleeding white,
those thoughtless minds,
Wake up wake up,
I am so annoyed.........

Sweet ringtone of my phone......
Lovely morning......
Positivity.......

Hospital

Mid-July
Hospital

Sun pungent, not cold;
But the snow dwells at my feet,
The heavy air squats above my lungs.

Took awhile to shake off the ants,
The ground attentive
The time a prisoner needs to hibernate,
Fear swallowing the pulse
In my chest whole –

Insensible I crossed many entrances,
I walked through rooms filled with
Scents of chloroform-
Old tools, fetid sheets, rusty cabinets,
I am here among the tormented bodies.

Silence needles and twinges
Me unceasingly
Now my heart is a needle.

The orange pumpkins have no eyes
Pointed at balconies that
Drink rusty tears from the sky.
O how the balconies melt like echoes!
O how the sun illuminates the present!
O how to die or to smile!

I opened a slit in my Spirit,
There I put myself
Then disappeared

The Thought Process

The marbles, dispersed, and unconstrained float carelessly,
 Magnetise,
Mobilise,
Into perfect linearity.

As the magnetic force begins to falter, the marbles begin to fray,
I find myself between realities,
Of which neither I can appease,
The delineation between chaos and order grow evermore astray.

There are no gaps here in linearity,
None through which for me to fall,
Not a gap in between which I can crawl.
Though in the safety of constraint I am, in fact, unfree.

The marbles, in linearity, and constrained, they are perfunctory,
De-magnetise,
De-mobilise
Imperfectly, into uncertain foray and insensible folly.
