My Pilot Light
In a hidden crevice
between soul and skin,
there is a flicker,
a tangerine flame
blazing through black abyss;
illuminating infinite veins of strength
that light like gun powder;
a thousand volts of survival
searing through my core.
There is a whisper in that flame,
ripples beyond discernible sound,
that directs me to take solace
in the unwavering knowledge
that my dreams are already realized,
waiting on life’s top shelf;
I have only to climb up and see
that they were never out of reach,
only temporarily out of sight.
I know this more securely
than I can be sure of anything else:
love, marriage, children,
are rolls of a roulette dice
that tumble around in a risky blur
chancing to settle on snake eyes,
but desire, aspiration, ambition and execution
are coordinates on my internal map
and I will never lose direction.
Spin all the cobwebs of doubt
that you believe can trap my will,
but what I have you can’t touch
or break, or steal, or burn out;
such is the radiance
of my inextinguishable flame
burning on a wick of passion,
feeding on a fuel of might,
and guaranteed to burn the hand
that comes too close
to touching
my pilot light.

Realization & The World Religions
Christianity
Petro—Peter means stone
Jesus made a pun:
Upon this stone I build my church
Unto you I give the keys to the Kingdom
Hence Peter—The First Pope
Jesus “He is my Rock and Salvation”
Judaism
The Mitzvah—God blesses every good deed
The Buddha
sits under a bode tree,
Surrounded by swirling forces of greed,
temptation, and evil intent
Desires which are the source of all suffering
Through meditation he extinguishes these desires
like he would a fire
What remains is the pure,
ecstatic bliss of endless, inextinguishable love
Krishna’s Dance
represents the lifeforce constant change and flux
The vital, joyous force,
casting off our collective part of painful illusion,
and sweeping us ever onward in an endless, journey—Nirvana
Islam
Allah—The One and only God—Allah is good
Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham,
Moses, David and Jesus
Peace be upon them all.
However, it is certainly true that Jews,
Christians and Muslims
all have different concepts of
Almighty God
Realization
From my deepest self I reveal
an emotional rapture of the combined sacred oneness
Enamored in love is how I truly feel
note: Monotheistic religion starts at the core wherein one
God created the world and its people because He loved them!
Polytheistic religions also have love at their core.

is your appetency
for what you suspire
you feed on this drug

but by the same line

Long before we met
I loved you
though countenance as yet unclear;
long before I ever heard
your voice, sensed I a perfect fit
out-there, somewhere
for my very eclectic ear --
Destiny is the word she used,
the old woman, with cards and
tea-leaves – a White Witch her
advertised claim: in a tent, at
an outdoor carnival somehow
I can’t say, she even knew your name…
Long before the first kiss sealed
with embrace made promise
with vow made sacred
perhaps before the first spring came
tossed its dingy veil, made colorful
beguile...into us spoke scented petal-like
blossoming smile
long before the first step
and endless seeming mile --
season given time to entrance,
great power to smudge and erase
Perhaps long before
God had written His best romance --
imagined human hearts, couplets of
tender poetry, song and joyful dance --
perhaps far back, when God
first considered love, make sketch
and model design -- made man’s visage
and form resemble His own Divine…
gave creation license to copy,
to fondly reline or trace – for
sometimes careless figuring gave wash
of forever grace – a lonely God, releasing
His kingdom, wanting only to freely
share, breathing life into lungs of
clay beings, declaring each his
child – offspring, royal heir
Perhaps even then, that far back
in God’s perfectly caring heart,
you and I were resident tenants
there, as angels reside in heaven above
wherever we travel, goes with us
signed lease of eternal love --
though having transient souls predetermined
never long us to dwell apart – such depth of union
like God’s glittering universe ever expanding
as those endless fields of stars linked together
twinkly hand-in-hand, love -- time’s radiant, inextinguishable
source and core -- God will keep us sparkling brilliantly close
adhered to His Loving Heart
Now, long after and long before

All passions and emotions combine into one synergy
country demands patriotism but our club? So much energy
celebrations and glory allow constant piracy
and a wonderful victory can never have its privacy
paying for tickets to enjoy a win is the basic
after the maximum points collected, comes next is the music.
Pitch soldiers fight with zeal so cosmic,
giving pure entertainment and fun really orgasmic
the mood in every rivalry comes with a cost,
defeat in a derby feels like holocaust.
Raising our emblems and banners for all to see
even when disgraced, the united pride will never flee.
Always kissing the badge, win or lose,
insult our integrity and heavily pay the dues.

Epic
Part One
“The Kurral owes much of its popularity to its exquisite poetic form. A kurral is a couplet containing a complete and striking idea expressed in a refined and intricate metre. No translation can convey an idea of its charming effect. […] The brevity rendered necessary by the form [composed in the Venpa metre] gives an oracular effect to the utterances of the great Tamil ‘Master of the sentences.’ They are the choicest of moral epigrams. […] Tiruvalluvar is generally very simple, and his commentators very profound.”
Rev. G.U. Pope, Former Fellow of Madras University
[Pardon these futile measly words from your great Potiya height: they can hardly belittle your true worth.]
Under what leaky hutment roof by stamped-mud floors
trembling clair-oscuro straw-wick kuttuvilakku
on the stark anvil of crisp phrase and sparse syntax
by the raging nama-nir rhyming brine
at Mayilapur’s S.Thomé sandy doors
while peacocks danced to your innate pulsating chimes
have you chipped away at uncut gems
Those the Yavanas brought with the monsoons
or such as your sea-daring captain friend Elela-Cinkan’s
Even those the Christian missionaries preached
in daredevil enticement
after St.Thomas fell to a vel stuck in his bosom
or of those like you who were stamped underfoot
Caste in cast-iron strictures
Priest only to the proclaimer paraiyar drum-beaters
The warp and woof of intricately woven venpa verse
elevating your weaving clan to fresh artistic heights
YET
in the humbled ways of your birth
on whose steps have you pitched your ears
whose wisdom have you had to pilfer
filter
whose ways have you had to ape
whose mere thoughts have you then had to set aright
ennoble
and remould into inextinguishable lines
Or had you tread the ahimsa path of gentle-foot Jains
Treading gently the earth for fear of loping boot pains

Look at this poppy-seed bread:
Black stars in a white sky,
Outside, an aloe plant rustles in the wind,
As out of place as dead people whispering.
I am not planning to die, however
Will they write my autobiography,
Listening to Fall Out Boy's 'Centuries'
Remember me...
For small recollections
Of a day-time moon,
This hot-cross bun blazoned across a handful
Of wayward seasons.
And I am not making any promises,
But this side of having a cold, far out stars
Are inextinguishable.

color awe
so crystal as to hear an
enigma
whiffed fragrance
a strangeness to scarcely taste
obscure scenes
light is sown
feel the warmth that follows miles
minds do smile

"An individual whose conscious awareness is such that a sound becomes fused with a sense of color and taste; for whom each fleeting impression engenders a vivid, inextinguishable image; for whom words have quite different meanings than they do for us—such a person cannot mature in the same way others do, nor will his inner world, his life history tend to be like others'."

Scorn is my aim,
It is my hope for salvation.
This was never real! Never!
it was nauseatingly surreal
“Relationship” you called it,
“Abomination!” I say,
Twisting and teasing my yearning.
Inspiring my passion, my affection,
all to be foil for your mockery!
Expertly you made me suffer,
Tormenting me! Torturing me!
Turmoil !!
OH God! To my soul and further!
to the soul of my soul,
to my inner soul… turmoil!
Tramp, Harlot, vampire of
the innocent bloom of desire.
Igniter of inextinguishable flames,
Purveyor Of lust and the Profane,
I curse you!
still, this said…
in my mouth, I still taste you
in my nostrils, I still smell you
my fingertips, remember you.
My heart, Oh God! my Heart, it
wants free of my chest!
It bangs at my chest this betrayer!
My whole body betrays me!
I want it torn away
tare it Away from me!
Tare my body away!
It is more hers then mine anyway.
Leave my naked soul to drown in the eithers
Of bodiless breathless slumber
un-encumbered, un-infested, un-tainted.
Anything, Anything, I say
Anything that will pull her out of me,
I will do
You liar, you bamboozler,
You never, ever loved me!...
You were my cherished, my forever
my bitter, my sweet, my tender
passions temptress.
But, In vain…In Vain,
all my attempts In vain… and sadly
if I were Breathless, and bodiless,
I would love you still.

Inextinguishable, I am a wonder
an awe-inspiring sun
streaking prisms of orange-yellow and red
across an expansive sky
fear not the transient darkness
rays light up your path and,
bathe you in torrid heat, my warmth,
align your heart soul with
my core, my burning furnace
gather power and strength
gulp mouthful of warm air
blowing off the vast ocean,
be trusting when I go down or
shifting and slipping behind clouds,
this is my caper, my own joie de vivre
mirages, illusions, so surreal, so sublime
is my promise, a vow
another day east, I will
rise and rise and shine again

POWER OF YOUR LOVE
HATE NOT AND FEAR NOT
THE POWER OF LOVE!
LET MY SOUL SOAR THRU THY SOUL
FLOAT LIKE A DOVE
INTO THY FAITHFUL SPIRIT!
MY EYES ARE CLOSED!
MY EARS ARE BLOCKED!
MY LIPS ARE SEALED!
ALL I FEEL IS NO PAIN!
ALL I CLASP IS LOVERAIN!
ALL I SEE IS NOT FAKE!
GENUINELY AND ELOQUENTLY DEPICTED.
THOUGH NOT YET REAL,
ROLLING DOWN MY SPINE LIKE A REEL.
`TIS REAL LOVE I FEEL
HATE NOT AND FEAR NOT
THE POWER OF LOVE
IT TAKES MY CONSCIENCE INTO THE UNKNOWN
BEYOND LIMITATION AND INTO THE MISTRY
THE POWER OF YOUR LOVE
BREEDS NO MERCY
IMMENSING MY HEART IN ACIDS OF HUMAN AFFECTION
SOAKING MY TAINTED EMOTIONS,
TWISTING AND HANGING THEM TO DRY ON LOVE-BREEZE VENTILATION
POWER OF YOUR LOVE
KINDLE A SPARK IN MY PARK
IGNITES MY DEFLATED MOJO
A BURNING SENSATION ABLAZING VIA MY LUNGS TO MY HEART
AN INFERNO SO INEXTINGUISHABLE.
A YEARN SO INSATIABLE.
THE POWER OF YOUR LOVE,
HAILS AND HAUL MY SOUL THROUGH THORNS,
SPIKED TO TORTURE AND TORMENT MY WEAK AND MEEK HEART.
I FOR ONE BEAR NO FORTITUDE
TO FORBEAR THIS HUMAN EMOTION,
THAT HAS NO ROOM FOR PATIENCE.
AND I SURRENDER MY LOVE TO YOU.
TAKE ME FOR I CANNOT ENDURE ANY MORE!

In the wee hours of my awakening
You kept me from falling
You saved my life, though I'd tasted poison
You saw me drowning and sent hands to help me,
Thank You.
Thank You for seeing me safely through hurricanes
Thank You for sunshine and rain
Thank You for sending me aboard two helpful planes.
Though fire and ice were harsh,
Thank You for safety and warmth
Though mine eyes were clouded by fear,
Thank You for Your grace, endless as time so near
Though I sometimes forget how much You care,
You caused me to listen with my inner ear,
Thank You.
Thank You for giving me a second chance at life
Thank You for hearing my prayers day and night
Thank You for Your inextinguishable light.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

my sisters are fifty shades of Black
dark & lovely
the epitome of black beauty
chocolate goddess
that's envied by many.
Daughter of nature,
but mother to the world,
Mother earth who kiss
is the kiss of life & love.
Hot & sweet temperature of the love
we make when meet.
A beautiful full Moon
unrefined w/ depths that's unparalleled,
mysterious eyes --color of love.
Peaceful is her aura beauty
is her nature, soul on fire
w/ an inextinguishable flame.
Blessed the worldwide w/ her presence present
since the beginning one of the two
essential ingredients for life:
Nubian princesses, Ethiopian Queens,
Ghana Goddesses all reign supreme
sister of thunder & mother to lightning
the fingers of the hand that created life.
Rich w/ compassion, kindness, love
happiness & joy. A beautiful
mahogany rose blooming a sweet
symphony. Diamonds & Pearls
flawed or scratched your value diminishes

flaws & scratches illuminates
my sisters beauty & they're being
done a great injustice being compared

Long before I had reached the top
it was written that I should be loyal to the nightmare of my choice;
as for my own guilty terrors,
all of them accompanied me on the road home.
I saw my future as a silent movie,
the most you can already hope from it, is some knowledge of yourself,
a crop (as a reward for sowing) of inextinguishable regrets,
and I made it a reality.
But, not only did I have the courage to live it
even I colored and painted it with the ability and sensitivity
of a landscape painter.
