Best Inevitable Poems
The truth was concealed with many branches. Countless
are the days I happily lingered in the comfort of your shade
before passionate winds revealed each of your limbs as too
weak to support natural, core growth. Your delusive roots
cannot grab substantial hold in earth while fertilized by
pretense’s charade. Only hollow echoes resound within your
skin of splintered bark and your shadows of nothingness grow
ever longer.
Under a warming sun, I joyously gave my heart in open palm
to you. At the time, I ignorantly embraced your breadth and
sum, for your apparent beauty preceded your tells of long
developed and craftily hidden inner rot, sure to disease all love
given in deep, steady, heartbreaking spurts. I can no longer
tarry beneath your deceptive branches and chose to depart with
no thought of ever returning, but I leave behind my tender pity to
witness your inevitable withering.
"give this,
one blood stained
word scrawled
on a stretch of
swine flesh.
call it "soul"
& sacrifice the known
to see it become
whole for one
fainting second
& shown
the surface undone,
completed in its
ever revolving
cycle towards
the center."
& he'll stand
& stretch & close
his briefcase
& he'll turn around
to go & you'll swear
that you saw the
light for just
one second.
(Your chickens always come home to roost.)
My soul cries out each time I see your face.
My hunger for your love does not abate.
Though I'm chagrined at how my pulses race
desire burns and sucker bites the bait.
You dangle me, a puppet on a chain,
in shame, I dance around you like a flame.
As turmoil reigns, my tears stream down like rain;
raw wounds cut deep while you enjoy the game.
But time will bring your chickens home to roost
and future pill will be a bitter brine.
Perhaps someday your heart will be seduced
as you succumb to Casanova's line.
For then will Lucifer raw fate assign,
and my atonement taste like peace divine?
An evil comes absent of light, our future holds a violent night
This creature hunts the small and weak, but death will come for those who seek
Embittered by the time at hand, the lame will heal and make their stand
A tortured truth will fast take hold, you have been warned and now are told
Mislead are those now doomed to fail, your lurid ways will not prevail
Heinous lots have now been cast, your time on Earth will soon be past
Bloody is the path you’ve made, your soul will be your final trade
This message comes straight from the west, the last you’ll see will be our best
Comes the inevitable moment to decide at last
Whether to stay or go; whether to love or hate
Whether to stand aside or bravely engage issues
To defy the odds and stand proud before the mast
To be late or early, to depend on timorous fate
Heart ripped asunder over questionable virtues.
Yea, lest anyone think fence-sitting is admirable
Or ignoring the necessities of every day’s wishes
The day arrives when we all must compensate
Stop the handwringing and become comfortable
By manning up to what life dishes.
written the week of June 20, 2021
from the limpid pools
of your eyes, sad streams run down
through your hollowed cheeks —
quivering, shaking, breaking
every fibre of your heart .
when you smile at me
I watch the curve of your lips
as they part to speak-
then I heed the sad whispers
of a torn, grief-stricken heart.
my heart is burning
at the thought of a farewell.
we are just pilgrims~
meeting to part in this world
heading to an unknown spot.
What could have been more expected
from a system created on greed
Where the donors all make legislation
via Congress they constantly feed
When a country is poisoned by money
it no longer looks out for the small
It is owned and controlled by the richest
who’ve decided that they want it all
Our history, bloody and violent
was a preview of what we would be
Just because we can’t see all the bodies
doesn’t mean that their spirits are free
The obsession with money and power
are the perfect dictatorship blend
Void of love for the land or the people
who are merely a means to an end
They all file in the chamber like robots
and their leader looks on as he gloats
The decisions made by all their donors
turn into the Congressional votes
They say capitalism is wonderful
but who is it wonderful for
It is not for the factory worker
nor the people who mop up the floor
It is not for the ones who build buildings
or the secretaries or the clerks
It is not for the drivers of buses
or the ones who toil in public works
Capitalism is poisoned
it is not for the poor or the old
It is not for the cooks or the teachers
or the soldiers, as they have been told
The system is for corporate donors
who get rich on the taxes we pay
We all work to provide them the money
which they triple on stock market play
Death Is Inevitable.
We spend our lives, fearing our deaths;
Scared of inhaling, that final breath.
Scared we may die, in the blink of an eye;
It is a consistent thought, throughout our lives.
But we cannot tell, what will happen tomorrow
And no man is able to avoid sorrow.
If it’s our destiny, to lose the one that we love tonight;
We cannot stop their fate, no matter how hard we try.
So rejoice in the fact, you’re alive right now…
For tomorrow you may be floating away into the clouds.

Inevitable Transformation
Despite human lust to remain human in all
aspects and norms
Timelessness will desiccate primeval bones
then alter sentient forms...

Tragic death is loves inevitable equal.
Lay
I am the earth to your ocean
The shore that you seek
Your tides are a sweet carress
Urging me to breathe
Winds carry you to me
Both softly and rushing in
There is no resistance to you
The inevitable always wins

Oh lonely Inevitable Bear,
Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare
Instinct’s test; fight or flight?
Camouflage against the fence,
A challenge; my subconscious fear
Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”
Either Inevitable Or Incredible
Things happen in life that are inevitable
Uncomfortable feelings or are incredible
Beyond imagination but still will occur
Of your yourself not seeming so sure.
Why was Quigley really down under?
Causing thunder and collecting plunder
Was really a person who played a part
Of understand feelings and having a heart.
Sanibel Island we loves and was so swell
And I still can count almost every shell
Left there but should not be collecting
Pelicans flew above and were protecting.
Wife and I received an unexpected call
My best man is dying and started to bawl
But did not do and decided to keep inside
By this weekend in heaven he will abide.
(This brought tears to my eyes again.)
What I write sometimes people take wrong
Wanted my poem to become a great song
Or just for you so you can simply read
To bring much comfort while fulfilling a need.
My poem put it on your forehead with a kiss
You could sense my osmosis and catharsis
People to be unbiased them you did insist
In their changing lives became a catalyst.
God, I never did need to be a chosen few
Must confess all my sins and pray to you
Guy had lovely daughter who liked to giggle
Changed her name from Quigley to Quigle.
(Of course, you know what spell check wants me to do.)
Instead of a toast my poem I will propose
When you sing along here's how it goes
If you play golf near gulf and have a great view
No wonder I can't take my eyes off of you.

You have to play this while reading my poem with.
This is all of the eye medical people's theme song.
The Inevitable Distance (??)
The inevitable distance of two hearts that beats as one
Now was captured by a morning sun
They kept on running and running, skin tanned
Temporary feelings of the man and woman
Days gone, terribly missing in darkness
Shared moments of tied up faces
Those awesome dreams was sadness
Torn by an illusion memories that ought to ceased
Where do I begin?
Of not feeling the same way again?
The agony is tantalizing
Now I believed in long lost story of myths and legends
Strange abstract
Of two people painted in knot
Infinity is not yet given
Maybe were just in motion of sweet dreams..
War.
A word of strength and convection
Relation between
The world and passion
The sea bleeds red,
God's new defected creation.
