Either Inevitable Or Incredible
Either Inevitable Or Incredible
Things happen in life that are inevitable
Uncomfortable feelings or are incredible
Beyond imagination but still will occur
Of your yourself not seeming so sure.
Why was Quigley really down under?
Causing thunder and collecting plunder
Was really a person who played a part
Of understand feelings and having a heart.
Sanibel Island we loves and was so swell
And I still can count almost every shell
Left there but should not be collecting
Pelicans flew above and were protecting.
Wife and I received an unexpected call
My best man is dying and started to bawl
But did not do and decided to keep inside
By this weekend in heaven he will abide.
(This brought tears to my eyes again.)
What I write sometimes people take wrong
Wanted my poem to become a great song
Or just for you so you can simply read
To bring much comfort while fulfilling a need.
My poem put it on your forehead with a kiss
You could sense my osmosis and catharsis
People to be unbiased them you did insist
In their changing lives became a catalyst.
God, I never did need to be a chosen few
Must confess all my sins and pray to you
Guy had lovely daughter who liked to giggle
Changed her name from Quigley to Quigle.
(Of course, you know what spell check wants me to do.)
Instead of a toast my poem I will propose
When you sing along here's how it goes
If you play golf near gulf and have a great view
No wonder I can't take my eyes off of you.
