the forest immersed
in the silence of twilight . . .
deer tracks in fresh snow
Dec. 8, 2019 for Tania Kitchin's A Nature Themed Haiku Poetry Contest
Where now does the black rose sleep?
The rains that fell before, bleed harder.
On grass that does not weep.
The lightening’s strike bears no sound.
Yet bursts afresh the stony ground.
Where hence do the voices go?
Their melody dancing, around trees flits.
Downwards on with the rivers flow.
Concealed within the morning mists.
I kneel with hands raised in fists.
Where then did the crows’ murder fly?
Leaving bones as their scar, laid fields bare.
And as vultures retook the sky.
Sea’s advance wrecks the iron ship with rust.
It’s foundations break, crumbling our chains to dust.
the meeting of us
when being with you, life's a wow
with every smile
your soul sinks deeper in me
then our hearts touch, we're both home
.
Setting sunlight glimmers across your form
Waves with enticing, smiling eyes
teasing, flashy,
dancing-hypnotic,
to all who are nearby
With promises to never leave,
your currents kiss my feet
the ebb and flow - a pull,
as you caress my cheek.
"Find your peace," trickles softly in my ear.
Cradled in your soothing embrace
rhythmically stroking me
away from weighted years
Sunlight streaming through
my warm cocoon
looks on with tenderness
our union
I've found my place - my soul at home
forever love
forever more
forever one
Your tender voice anointing my ears
the delectation of my spoken name
that look of adoration in your eyes,
speaks to me softly 'neath intensely lit moons,
'midst subtly mesmerizing whispered passion
lost in quintessential heart's surrender
Reading another poetry anthology
Looking at the words; thinking mirrors,
Reflecting no image, capturing my spirit.
Magician savants, transporting my feelings
Across life’s terrain with eyes that feel
The heartbeat of the stones,
The breath of every tree,
And the memory of every Poet
That has ever lived.
Immersed in Verse
Natures reflection so vibrant
Stilled beauty revealing pure grace
Colored precision tis brilliant
Timeless completion, glowing face
Creates a heartbeat in the soul
Rises toward heaven to extol

Nature Verse
A beneficial mediation for the mind...
being immersed in peaceful thought,
seeing clouds drift towards sunset,
imagining places pristine and wild.
On a shining rock facing the breezy West,
I lay whispering what comes naturally...
to make a connection with the Almighty;
I praise His creations being laid down to rest.
Colors are lively images of the fading evening,
the slower the ruddy sun reaches the horizon,
the stronger the jasmines smell without repulsing...
picturesque valley, tarry much longer and glisten.
Feeling and looking happy and so serene inside,
I breathe in and out to let gladness overwhelm me...
looking in a certain direction with my glance of intensity
to connect with the spectacular planets that seem to glide.
Let this face glow without denying its deserved joy,
let my contemplation carry me to the ends of infinity
to bring back healing secrets Mankind never discovers...
see me immersed in peaceful thought among marigolds!
Our God who lives, flows in waters,
drifts in clouds and glows in snow,
flashes silver fish in shallows,
darts in darkness round the rocks,
blooms afresh as showers bring flowers,
freshens scent for bugs and bees.
Here we live together woven,
one with God in wonder held.
Our God who lives, moves with breezes,
flies in skies and travels far,
floats with owls to quarter meadows,
dives with gannets in the surf.
on the wing with birds migrating –
swallows, swifts and butterflies;
Though they fly in all directions,
God is with them in their flight.
Our God lives, alert and watching,
over newborn in the nest,
keeps them warm with fur or feather,
crouches, pounces on the hunt,
scuttles, burrows, refuge seeking –
fox and mouse, God lives in each.
On the ground we are together,
held by God in pain or joy.
Our God dies, entombed with Jesus,
from the earth he on us breathes
autumn scents from leaves decaying,
whiffs of springtime gifting life.
Grubs and worms soil over turning;
naught is wasted, all made new.
Like all creatures we are mortal,
as with Christ we die and live.
God lives anew, now arising,
swelling oceans, winds astir,
croaks to us as frogs are courting,
calls to us in curlew's song,
shines from corals colours gleaming,
rests in shade of leaves above.
Called to serve your living creatures
guide us God to tend and care.
Holy Spirit ever moving,
always leading, out ahead.
Come let's find what wisdom's showing,
lightly tread among what's spread,
gaze in wonder and amazement,
serve and share the gifts of life.
God who raises Christ in glory
lift us all to praise and sing.

A re-write of Our God Flies
oh …
imagine the hues …
the shades and shapes and colors -
the breadth of light and exquisite beauty
that blind people …
SEE …
think of the music, untranscribed and emotive,
that those without hearing spin
within their minds …
for though we feign superiority,
we ‘normal’ folk are limited by
the constricted boundaries of our senses -
imprisoned by faculties …
but those without the definitions of
actuality, are utterly free in the
scope of their incalculable curiosities …
pray, have you ever wondered what
fanciful worlds exist for those
without confines?
insights, thoughts, visions, and songs that
are created in intellects sans limits -
wondrous realms with no borders -
skies with horizons that never end
beauty with no definitions or sine qua non
and love …
oh, envision a love as pure -
truly without condition, purlieu, requirement …
or end …
there are so many astounding universes that
exist within our own -
that are seen without eyes
heard without ears
and known …
without a single thought … or touch …
this life is a teeming sea of possibility
and the only hems are the
ones we sew ourselves …
so,
the next time you reach a wall …
or a door …
or a loss … or heartbreak
close your eyes -
see that un-black ocean of light and energy
listen to the music of your imagination
reach your heartstrings out
beyond the horizon …
and wonder!
Thoughts on World Diabetes Day(14th Nov.2018):
'Immersed in the ocean of Blessing'
Immersed in the ocean of blessing,
God's mercy all times encompassing.
Even then all times Iam complaining,
Petty things I never forgetting.
At the 'have-nots' Iam never looking,
My own self, I keep on prodding.
A young man on dialysis was running,
Our water-works are really fascinating!
With a white cane a lady was walking,
Eyesight is miracle, for all who are retaining !
Whose heart is aching and failing,
What a blessing this pump entailing !
On the above three as Iam pondering,
Each insult 'diabetes' was causing.
God always Iam thanking,
For the health & right path He's showing.
Diabetes always I'll be fighting,
The suffering I'll always be guiding.
In your thoughts I have immersed and lost myself,
Without you I yearn to be immersed and lost again all by myself
Forever...lost in your thoughts,
Aimlessly wander with my thirstful wish to be silently quenched sought,
I wander aimlessly
On the brink dwell, now my lonesome life to surrender
Everyone is immersed
in corporality and wealth.
No one,no love from anyone.
What will happen tommorow?
Nobody realizes this.
Everyone is immersed
in corporality and wealth.
No one,no love from anyone.
Every human being
is incomplete today.
Regardless, everything
is right with him.
Wealth,fame,bunglow,carriage,
Do not give sleep, someone dear.
It now the whole world,
but still no one remember this.
Everyone is immersed
in corporality and wealth.
No one,no love from anyone.
Feeling the moment
Absorbed.
Involved in the minute
Engulfed.
Buried deep
Filled with tears.
Mourn and weep
Immersed.
Immersed in our role, we vent rage
Let us then doublethink
Why needless mind battles we wage
Let us repair this chink
Stupor is our illness
Stillness path to wellness
Ushering blissfulness
Love and light our goal
Immersed in our role
