I didn’t answer, I didn’t need to
How did this happen,
amidst words, phrases,
stones skipped on poetic ponds
Not looking for or expecting
a touch to the heart, a caress,
yet it came
I fell, head first into a joy,
a blissful feeling
I had not felt before
You said the same,
wishes made on coins tossed
had finally come true
Holding hands without touching,
kissing over counted miles
and borderlines of snow
We sang together, harmonies,
lyrics of love from our hearts,
melodic compositions formed of dreams
Picked flowers, daisies, tulips
from the gardens of pure affection
blooming all around us
It seemed no walls,
barriers could hold us back
as we ran towards each other
Then appeared a river, wide, raging
A chasm of worry and fear
was flowing across our paths
Now a deluge of falling tears
filling, overflowing it banks
making footing uneasy, difficult
And we sit on opposite sides
staring at each other, reaching
for something that seems so far out of reach
Dark clouds roll in, threatening
but we stay, standing on the muddy shores
wondering what will become of us in this flooding
“I can’t” you weep facing
deep obstacles, a current too strong,
pulling you in different directions
A drenching downpour of emotions
saturating your decisions with doubt
as you wave goodbye
“Wait” I shout, “I will swim to you!”
But your eyes are too wet
and your heart is a breaking levee
Diving in anyway I am swept away,
pulled under, unable to breathe, choking
watching you fade as you turn away
Hope is gone, fears have overshadowed desires
drowning in what is lost,
trapped in the rapids of disappointment
When a hand grabs me, lifts me, saves me…
I open my eyes on the other side to see,
it is yours
You cradle me in your arms
and I breathe, the most wondrous breath
When suddenly clouds part and the sun
illumines your face as you whisper,
“You truly do love me, don’t you?”
I didn’t answer, I didn’t need to…you knew

Find here a poem read throughout the ages,
passed down from elders to youngsters below
A mystical rhyme with a fairy tale ending
that maybe is true but we really don’t know
Perhaps just a legend, the town folk all chuckle
as children run off through the forest each night
In hopes they will capture a glimpse of the magic
a small dancing fairy so happy and bright
~~~~~~~
A fairy named twinkle, the month of November,
when twilight comes calling in grey flannel hues
As evergreens rest with their branches a’ shimmer
and winter reflects in these cold weather views
While there in a clearing, the fairy she dances
as sparkles go flitting aloft in the air
Her wings all a flutter in snowflakes of glitter,
the woods come alive on this evening to share
The stars in the heavens all mirror her image,
like glimmering sequins in silver and gold
Orbiting gems on a black velvet skyline,
a wonderful gift for the scene to behold
When chipmunks and rabbits and deer start to gather
all wearing a smile at this beauty they see
This fairy named twinkle who spins as she offers
her November dance oh so delicately
The moon shining full sends its beams down around her,
illumines her movements, a soft evening glow
While squirrels with acorns sit up in the treetops,
the best seats they find for this magical show
Then just as it started, so soon it is over,
as footsteps are heard on a path winding through
The fairy named twinkle departs in an instant
as children approach so in hope of a view
~~~~~~
So there now you have it, the poem of Twinkle
her November dance when the evening is new
But is she for real or just imagination
I can’t really say, I’ll leave that up to you

Whispering apricot beams shine upon frilly sheers,
lazy shadows dance in daffodil dawn colors,
pirouettes of pleasured moments,
silently flowing on smooth brush stroke walls
You breathe, softly, the sweetest sonnet,
rhythmically exhaling beneath satin sheets
symphonic…bringing a grin to the sunrise,
blushing clouds hide behind a bashful horizon
Placing a gentle kiss upon rose petal shoulders,
you stir ever so slightly…eyes flutter like chiffon wings
hugging the pillow wistfully, floating within,
cascading between dreams of us
Exploring the mesmerizing curves of your body,
my lips touch warm porcelain skin,
the faintest sigh escapes, a smile appears
as your wispy fingers seek my own
Probing gentle folds, serene recesses of silken slivers
sipping the morn’s perfect elixir, ambrosia,
seeing your eyes wide open now
and falling once more deeply into their hypnotic beauty
Hands fondle my hair, wavy lengths, grasping
tickling heated embraces, melting into the warmth,
maple syrup cravings, sweetened stickiness in
pleasure flavored temptations
Sunshine illumines the room with sparkled effervescence,
writhing deep into the blue sky destinations,
azure visions of springtime promises kept
and green grass wanderings
I rise with you, fall with you…with this perfect time,
mirroring movements in reflective crescendos, rapidly,
as your voice sings my name, feathered pillow melodies,
an ending ovation in hummingbird inspired quivers
And you collapse, tethered breaths, tiny giggles
pulling the sheets tight to your chin playfully
I peer up, cinnamon eyes gleam, twinkle,
rejoicing as brand new day begins…in love

A street lamp illumines our rain soaked flag
as soft filtered shades of red white and blue
try to let sparkles of light glisten through.
Peace fills the night as a zephyr shapes rain,
yet our mourning hearts have an ache for you.
As dawn crests the mountains and paints our
twilight sky, in pink, purple, then a golden hue,
today we remember those who fought far-away,
and let us not forget all their loved ones too.
Our memories we recall in our own sacred way.
Let us give thanks for their sacrifice; Never forget,
the countless dear lives of our soldiers unknown;
and thousands whose names in stone that are set.
Let us have faith, their spirits to heaven have flown.
So today let us offer our love in a heartfelt prayer
to pray for families whose loved ones have died.
Lord please bless them all, let them know we care.
Let there be peace for all on this earth who abide.

Journey To The Unseen
Time ebbed like watermark
Life shadows the elusive dream
Eventuality ignites a spark
Reanimated beneath icy stream
Veracity illumines the dark
Burning deserts appear serene
Footprints ardently embark
A mystic journey to the unseen

FATAL ATTRACTION
-------------------------
His lucent light illumines her eyes
His face outshines the sun
His ethereal beauty unveils the skies
Her vibrant vision swiftly succumbs
Her silenced tongue, his intimate touch
His intangible hands sliding/slithering
Spiraling down with a gentle glide
Her body cold and shivering
His fiery eyes ignite a flame
Her attention he gains as she stares
Their lips entwine, his blissful rapture
Devours her heart from cares
Encapsulated, she can't escape
He clutches her in his arms
Her safe haven, her wedded love
His pearl preserved from harm
Her beating heart, a decelerate speed
Her aperture devoid of breath
His succulent waters drown her tongue
Compelling her closer to death
Solitary seclusion, her world in diffusion
Subverts her mind, subtracts her understanding
He gains her trust, thrusting utter confusion
Rest assuring her of a safe landing
She drowns herself to ceaseless sleep
In his grasp from detouring distractions
At her beauteous site, he rejoices and weeps
Absorbed in her FATAL ATTRACTION

Moon glow illumines
opaque clouds tonight.
I see a specter there
with long white hair
She floats down hovering
above the ground
Her anguished face
expresses she feels lost,
trapped between worlds
in a place without time.
I see inside her frightful
glowing eyes
Her fear, and now I hear
her mournful cries
that chills my skin amidst
the children's din.
She fades from sight
as I stand mouth agape
as clouds part and I am
struck by moonlight.

Melodious tides serenade along a foam dipped coast line,
we drift as a single composed symphony,
seduced by a pounding surf, its sensuous rhythm pulsates
flooding our hearts, aching to collide
in the tempo of a lone torrent’s embrace
Scorching tropical passions seize the moonlit sand,
palm tree shadows sway atop sultry weathered dunes
of lemongrass and saw palmetto,
on saltwater breezes moaning our names, mellifluously
from a quivering horizon
Warm dark rum skin intoxicates, I stagger,
lost in hypnotic topaz eyes, reflective pleadings
of deeper desires sought, fingertips probe sun softened locks,
nightshade tresses, mingling with a rippled surf
as stardust illumines moist swollen lips, parted
Harmonic waves wash atop entwined silhouettes
nearing a crescendo, a pinnacle of pleasure,
where secrets are revealed in half swallowed sighs
on this coastal haven when voices sing in
throaty whispers of impassioned ecstasy
Now as heated breaths hover beneath the moon’s glowing stare
we too build and recede, feeding our amorous desires
as the fading night relinquishes its hold and dawn cracks the sky
Our tide becomes one, our union remains unbroken,
our love, eternally bound by the melody of the sea

A man’s chilled hands
In the depths of darkness...
Candle is shining
She approaches him, warming him up inside by holding him close to her. She tells him, “My love for you is stronger than the winter; no frigid air will hold you down and make you weak.” He smiled at her and simply replied, “I know our love is stronger than the freezing days of winter, we can exist in a higher plane and still be warm throughout. We just need to be in close proximity to physically be warm together.” With this she held his hands and he warmed up to be at her level of fire burning inside her.
She warmed his hands
Sure melted all the ice off...

Verse
Midst Monday bouts in work arena
knocking body with fatigue angst…
God’s victory* strengthens my faith to keep pressing on.
Though Tuesday schedule seems to fail
frustrating mind against planning zest…
The Lord revives my spirit as a warrior marching forward.
When Wednesday pursuits become futile
with routine turning toward torturous ennui…
Christ rejuvenates my soul against insistent boredom.
Trying Thursday times intensified by deadline pressure
test patience succumbing to fruitlessness’ blight…
The Saviour props my commitment for life-building endeavours.
Frustrating Friday obscures sublime vision
while carnality attacks what is divine…
Light of the Sovereign illumines my heart, seeking what’s heavenly.
Sometimes, Saturday tempts with slothfulness’ convenience
bringing guilt of worthlessness’ pangs…
Forgiving Master offers help, empowering my zeal for faithful service.
Since Sunday expectations shout sincere worship
unmasking hypocrisy, reproving skepticism and doubt…
The Holy Ghost* grips my trust, hoisting it by His grace and love.
*1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(This “busy week” has made me weary; and I thank the Lord for enabling me to make it… to be able to sing “It is no Secret What God Can Do” during our ministry live broadcast.)

There is on a green hill, a winding road,
Where September golden rods are blooming,
Even the sandy path bears reflections
A line of fence posts, lavender shadows
Twining purple morning glory faces
Reaching, desiring the cool autumn sun,
Footprints follow, one little pair, no two
Questions of wonder suspending in air.
Gazing up that lovely road of new fall,
One's eyes strain to peer beyond the path's rise,
Where blue and gold mists meet the autumn sky,
With a new generation, a new school.
And an unremembered Meadow of Dreams
Illumines hidden caverns of the mind.

Sonnet
"I wandered lonely as a cloud" -- William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a life
bereft of joy by reason’s cloud
to sling invective like a scythe
from perched on high, lofty and proud.
Naught from my lips but bile and scorn,
delight extinguished, long since shorn.
Imprisoned by my intellect,
I held my neighbor in disdain,
the simpletons who genuflect,
lift voice in praise to gods inane.
Devoid of purpose, meaningless,
inflicting pain, I caused distress.
Ensconced in fog, truth thus eludes,
for nothing blinds like one’s own will,
prolongs the moral turpitude,
bolstering self yet further still.
The darkness bears an evil grin,
a putrid corpse, lest dawn breaks in.
But worlds come crashing down, of course.
A penetrating shaft of light
that sears at first, causes remorse,
illumines one’s desperate plight.
A warmth then flushes on the face
by blood reborn, restored by grace.

The second
shape of being it
exists attached close
visible or invisible.
It is construct
of frail
light rays and the shadow changes the
original shape as the creator illumines
brightly from place
to place in space
and from point
to point in the
specific span of time.
Living in distant past far
from the diffused light
the formless shadows
melting in deep time
drowns the static life.
Light of gleaming hope
from a future invisible
forms alluring shadows
lengthening with time
carved in contours
of dream float on
reality of present.
God lights from above
the shadow undefined
lasting in absolute time
is absorbed in life divine
takes shape in the present
He constructs for all of us
the destiny
