Moon Glow

Moon glow illumines
      opaque clouds tonight.
I see a specter there
     with long white hair
She floats down hovering
     above the ground
Her anguished face
     expresses she feels lost,
trapped between worlds
     in a place without time.
I see inside her frightful
     glowing eyes
Her fear, and now I hear
     her mournful cries
that chills my skin amidst
     the children's din.
She fades from sight
     as I stand mouth agape
as clouds part and I am
     struck by moonlight.

As I said before, when I see it's about the moon, I immediately open the window curtain. Oh, there's a ghost out there! I'd better close the curtain) Great Moon, Connie.

Hello Connie … some see a different world at Halloween, and it can be full of apparitions ghost like floating, witches, blood and a reason to hand candy to kids to save the souls - very good again Connie - Lindsay

This was really nice Connie. I loved the feel of this and the flow of the lines. There is a sadness and longing to your poem that almost cries out in this wonderful piece of writing. I think Chantelle will really like this. Best wishes my friend.
