Best Humid Poems
no one is outside
it is a hot humid day
the boy stays inside
A bright sunny day
With some puffy clouds
They had images of faces
The temperature high
No birds in the sky
The squirrels were hiding
No one is outside
They were inside
With air conditioning
Having a co, drink
Just relaxing in the
cool air
Reading or answering mail
All of a sudden the sky
Is very dark the sun left
Grey color clouds appear
Getting darker even more
So dark the sky is black
The rain poured down quickly
The ground got soaked
It rained for several hours
Getting darker even more
So dark the sky is black
The rain poured down quickly
The ground got soaked
It rained for several hours
Then quickly as it began
The rain slowed down
The dark clouds cleared
In the sky sunshine appeared
The squirrels came out
Looking for food
The birds looking for worms
The grass looked brighter
Flowers taller and grass greener
hot humid summer
no solace to cicada;
calls loud to find mate

I'll always remember that humid July day when you, my best friend, almost slipped away. The shock of finding you so cold and stiff. It took four paramedics your body to lift. When I saw you on that stretcher being rushed away, all I could do was to sob and pray. I knew that you had been feeling depressed but I never could have guessed the rest. Unaware of the turmoil you felt with in, I had made morning plans to go to the gym. My inner voice which I frequently doubt made me take a different route. God chose me as a timely alarm, to halt your intentions of doing self-harm. It's now been five years since that horrible day. I'm so grateful to God for not taking you away.
On a humid night
Hot, as the heat wave strikes
Emotions that churn restlessly
Dark and fervid as the night.
Would it have been different
Could laughter show its might
But laughters are an echo
Far off......
In the distant daylight.
On a humid night
Tossing, the nightmares take flight
The clock that ticks endlessly
Dreams become a blight.
Would I have been indifferent
A shrug, an oversight
But hurts become an echo
And hits.....
Like a blistering smite.
overcast the day
humid… like per sauna fied
all bodies sweating
Sticky wisps
spider's web
Milky hands
blood of weeds
Chyrsalide empty
butterfly breathes
on a summer morning humid
Scent absorbing
plum tree sweetened
Crickets tuning
notes of the season
Bare feet green
for a very good reason
I need to feel the earth
Leaves uplit
in a sweet sun bath
Echinacea flowers
bend the garden path
Yellow finch bellies
puffed up and fat
burst the sky with color
Orange explosion
trumpet vine
Adrenaline pumping
feeling fine
Smile elaborate
this day is mine
on a summer morning humid...
When walking a dog
On a hot humid day
It is not a good idea
The pavement is too
hot
For their little paws
Walk them when it is
cooler
All dogs should be home
For they are better off
On a humid day
For our fury friends
On hot and humid days
Summer time blue funk
Can't stand all this humid stuff
I have had enough
Car's like an oven
Air-conditioner's working
But the heat is winning
Sweat just pours off me
Clothes and sand stick to bodies
Go to a nude beach
There it's no torture
To frolic in the water
And to "hang" out there...
He reassured with a kiss
And sorted out

Hot, humid summer
The harsh sun, unforgiving
Under an awning

On a hot humid summer day, a cold can of beer, goes nicely with a meal.
As humid night turned into day,
my eyes I lifted to the gray
and what I saw gave me a turn.
Emboldened blaze of rising sun!
Clouds parted, scurried fast away
and left the dawn to seek its prey.
Tree leaves ashen and green grass scorched,
as if their essence had been torched.
Running, clawing to get inside.
"Have mercy on me, please," I cried.
Seeking shelter from horrid heat,
I quickly made a fast retreat.
As I shut my welcoming door,
the A/C came to raging roar.
E-asterlies blowing,
E-vening chill is still around,
A-s it's cool dry clime.

Flora and fauna are in hiding.
No life stirs to do the day's biding.
Feisty dog days are back
in violent attack!
No sign of humid heat subsiding!
