Best Human Head Poems

Premium Member She Was Born With Cat Ears

She was born with cat ears.
So cute! Everyone lied.
Some of us felt them.
They were striped, and furry.
Odd for a human head.
Gray, pink in the middle.
“Adorable!” some of us said.
“Can they be removed?” the new grandmother asked.
Making her daughter-in-law her enemy for life.

Premium Member The Kindest Words

The Kindest Words

The kindest words are left unsaid
when by our selfish wants we’re lead
to walk away and never mention
“Thanks” for someone’s good intention.

The calmest words are left unsaid
when anger fills the human head.
‘’I’m sorry,” would erase the harm,
magic words that work a charm.

Vicious words should stay unsaid
the kind that hurtful rumors spread
“Let me tell you all that story,”
would bring a gossip no greater glory.

The cruelest words must stay unsaid
with kinder one’s placed in their stead,
like “Let me help you out. I understand.
We can make it together, hand in hand.”

The kindest words may step ahead
and all across the world be spread.
"Let's live together, under the sun
with love and peace for everyone."

As Deep Darkness Its Rabid Cloak Around Me Spread

As deep darkness its rabid cloak around me spread
Dark shadows raced to their images thus display
They that were so bleach white, those old skeletal dead
Thought to play with me and have their damnable way
Yet, my father had in fighting taught me so well
My valiant heart had strength, vigor and valor too
Yes, I had been cast into the devils unholy hell
But this amateur lad, had some fine grand tricks new.

No fighting soul can win if faith is not in its brave head.

There in seething darkness, fear's breath began to blow
Short greenish puffs that transformed into savage beasts
With wicked claws and fierce red eyes that did so glow
And their own gold table lay human head for their feast
In the distant corner lay a long gold hilted sword
In a quick flash it was mine in my eager hand
Then newest beast spoke, come on I am growing bored
Lets kill this old weak flesh and go ravage across his land.

No fighting soul can win if faith is not in its brave head.

With that I quickly lunged forward and off came its head
And its huge body collapsed into a hairy mess
Next the far lesser beasts for dear mercy each then plead
And even the smaller ones their wicked sins confess
Only beast left, a three headed snake with poison tails
And I could easily hear its deep cast dark curses said
All began with evil prayers beseeching dark lord of hell
And next came the hateful cries of the murderous dead.

No fighting soul can win if faith is not in its brave head.

I Am Not a Tribe I Am Human

Thunder strikes only but once
Trust is like virginity it is lost only but once
But how do you forgive
When a human is not trusted
When Rwanda is a story by itself
How do you slash fellow humans?
‘’See those skeletons well arranged in shelves’’
“This is a family; those are the bones of the children”
Reason is we were born of another tribe
Our blood is not theirs, they are not our people
So kill them all, let blood flow, slaughter
Politics for blood, so sad stories to tell
How do we trust our own?
Called in a church for refuge only to be roasted to death
“Burn the whole church” ‘’slash them all’’.

We lost it humans, we lost it
I remain human, I am not an African
I am not black I am no white- American
I am no Indian; I am blood and bones, Human
Break not my bones; spill not my blood fellow human
We all belong; we are one in creation and origin
The soil we came from, soil we go back
See we are same here, I am no Luo see
Just human, head shoulder, knees and toes, like any other human.

Before the white wash we were with us
The white butterflies came and gave a language
We defined tribalism using the white ink
We lost our own link
We were given stereotype-boundaries to divide us
We had a happy introduction, we never anticipated any tragedy
We killed our own, we orphaned and widowed
Raped and maimed, Robbed of what is human in us.

Refreshing, rebuilding, recharging, Reconnect, Wake up!
Reconstruct the genetic make up, Human
Remember always I am you, you are me and we one.
No tribe, No white, No African, No black, just human
I am not made up of stereotypes
I am born by blood built by bones
Just like you I cry and laugh, I feel, I feel pain.
I am Human not a tribe

Premium Member Thought Begins In a Spider Web

What if our minds were like spider webs,
Spreading to the invisible realm?
Beyond the brain seems blissfully insane
Like a transcendental spell.

While science is keen to explain our dreams
And thoughts in pure chemical terms,
I’ve often considered education is littered
With professors who’ve never quite learned.

Sometimes science needs a leap of faith
To move past dogmatic ground –
There’s more than enough evidence
Proving the existence of the Inexplicably Profound.

It’s the nature of the universe
From the immeasurable small to unfathomable wide
Connecting every sub-particle
From stardust to what’s inside.

Your head and mine were made sublime
By a miracle beyond comprehension -
While I have no doubt these thoughts I hold
Exist in many dimensions.

Michelangelo seemed to think so
As did Mozart, Beethoven and Jung –
But not even the tip of the iceberg
Of those who climbed the rungs.

Of the ladder towards the gateway
That leads to higher realms
Where thoughts pour forth like running gold
From a river all around.

As atheists deny, agnostics decry
And others follow suit -
While I take a stand and raise my hand
To the universe in salute.

Of every thought I’ve ever had
And memories bad and sweet -
Knowing someday I’ll prove the teachers wrong
And laugh myself to sleep.

While watching fish that school and twist
Tens of thousands by the count –
Simultaneous turns together
In one instant - turnabout.

Or birds of a feather sailing together
In a sudden course correction -
Instantly banking to and fro
In singular - unified perfection.

And mothers sensing peril
Of their young ones out of sight -
Phone calls made confirming
The feeling was quite right.

Something strange is in the air
Here and there and all around –
Permeating space and time
Through our minds and solid ground.

These thoughts I swear must come from nowhere
Inside this human head –
And I still believe and always will
Thought begins in a spider-web.

A Head On the Highway

Two wheeled commuters with heads booted with helmets, dotted the highway;
The four wheeled rich hooted at pedestrians daring to cross their path,
While rental three wheelers heated them all, filling even places like foot path;
Traffic winked red, green, and yellow to jam, trim, and brim the highway.

Like water discharged from flooded reservoir, humanity flowed on the highway,
Down to their destined ends, discharging spray and smoke, littering its path
With fed up lives, held up to the grave; lawmakers floated on the crest of the path.
Only the hapless found themselves fighting for space in the helpless highway.

On this highway, at the peak hour, popped up a human head as if cropped
From the ripe body as a yield to the reapers blooding the streets with sickles;
The highway halted; heads craned above wheeled carriers; questions hurried

Everywhere with worries and wonders; “Hyderabad has a head chopped;
Is it for ‘Biriyani’?” Some quickly tweeted like men of booze oozing for pickles;
Cops looking for the lost head, severed by train, at last sighed, with heads retrieved.

[Cops in Hyderabad, India retrieved a severed head from a railway track, put the torso and head in a sack and took it to hospital for postmortem. But on the way, the head slipped down from the sack and caused a commotion]

                          Evolution went on natural selection

Male version Merman and female Mermaid came.
Not at all Mythical, but actually Ancestral.
                      Ages were passing.
                        Evolution ran through ages
                          Tail was transformed to legs
First male child born to Merman-Mermaid couple.

                                   called as 'Eve'.
                        Children swam at sea.
Both walked and played on sea shore.
First Man and Woman Adam- Eve: Couple
left sea and settled on land.
They set up beautiful Eden Garden set.
Once Eve plucked one apple and ate half.
                      She hid behind tree.
                Adam took rest half.
                        Both attained wisdom.
Eve started wearing leaf string with clams and pearls.
                            Adam put a twig.

Lice Attack

They prepared a squad to ambush
On hairy forests of a human head.
Things were well planned to push
The army on the murky skin-bed.

Army of Lice marched on warily
Towards the places assigned to all.
They had to peep everywhere slyly
Lest they are knocked by Fingernail.

The Larger ones are the commanders
Of this momentous Guerrilla attack.
Smalls will follow forgetting Slanders
And battle with guts, work in Pack.

They furrow the skin to make Trench
So that they can fight and stay secure.
Some would plunge in them to drench
Themselves in the blood for adventure.

These Lice have a Mission to fulfill.
They make slices of nice hair with
Their teeth of Vice like stinging Eel
Or Mice, with ruthless urge beneath.

They have attacked on the Two-footed,
Some would hide and ambush at once,
Some hang by hair until it’s uprooted.
All they do is sip, sting, cling, flounce.

			Insanity
			Is the new infection
		An epidemic
	Of self annihilation
	  To cleanse
Our souls in our own bloodshed
      A syndrome
	   Of the weakening human head
	Out with the civilized silence
     In with the barbaric violence
		We’ve lost all guidance
So let's carry our torches and tridents
		And kill…

…The Earth is lathered in a murderous flame
            Scorch black
The crimson rivers drain; we’ve anesthetized the mind-melting pain
            Let the bodies stack.
                   That’s it
We die in a sea of S.P.I.T.

Celluloid Fright

"Help me," shrieked THE FLY with the human head
Eight-legged death was approaching
as he struggled, trapped in a spider web

There's horrors all round,
there's horrors everywhere
Close your eyes if you must,
if you do easily scare

No one can hear you scream in space as an ALIEN attack
A face-hugger with acid for blood
will cocoon you for a birthing snack

There's horrors within and without,
there's horrors lurking about
Bite your lip if you must,
to keep from screaming out

Be prepared daily when it's the THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
With flesh eating zombies on the prowl,
your undead sister will try to eat your bowels

There's horrors near and far,
there's horrors above and below
Clasp your chest if you must,
to help your heart beat slow

Of unknown origin is THE THING with no name
It can imitate any life form it absorbs,
if it gets you alone, it will imitate yours

There's horrors ancient and fresh,
there's horrors old and new
Hold your nose if you must,
if the smell of fear sickens you

Don't attempt to befriend a real monster FRANKENSTEIN
Your noble effort may result in your demise
There's horrors among us,
everywhere in this world
Believe me, there's more than enough to suffice

Limerick Ii Barber Sweeney

A barber called Sweeney and Mrs Lovett
Both catch human heads inside her bucket
Cooking human head pies
With blood and eyeball fries
Each bite so tough that folks need to suck it

Lovetts life ends when Sweeney shoves her in
Grasping her hair she swigs her final gin
Heating her precisely
In bisque hot and spicy
Juice as he eats seeps over Sweeney’s chin
