From glaucoma to chemotherapy
Medical marijuana has its place
But you won’t find any prescribed
In the conservative Sunshine State

Chris couldn’t eat while under treatment
Watched him lose one-hundred pounds
He had no access to an appetite stimulant
His weight was 85 when laid in the ground

Hefty Jen had lived a life of kindness
Taught spiritually uplifting courses
She suffered when chemo raced through her system
Until people said, “How beautifully slim her corpse is.”

When Dad’s glaucoma grew severe
He relied only on eye drops that made him tear
His gift of sight was taken slowly
Though THC might have helped his eyes clear

And when I first wrestled with ulcerative colitis
A college friend brought me a joint, said, “Try it”
Less than an hour later I was eating without pain
But laws are clear, Florida doctors can’t prescribe it

Research has proved there are benefits
Only medical marijuana use can provide
But those who worry about drug abuse
Say those who could benefit should be denied

Each day in the headlines we read of drunk drivers
Mostly teens who seek access through friends
And if they want marijuana, they find a way to get it
But for those who abide by laws, agony never ends

If smoking pot or ingesting a tablet of THC
Can help a person who is suffering great pain
Don’t you think the time has come
To ask prohibitionists to explain

Why people who are hurting needlessly
Cannot have access to any remedy
That soothes their aches, improves their last days
Diminishing the symptoms of their tragedy

Blessed And Highly Favored
Miracle Man

I know that I’m blessed,
and highly favored.
Because my love for Jesus,
has never wavered.

When near death,
I returned from the brink.
God gave me thoughts,
about eternity to bethink.

He took from my thoughts,
those years I had wasted.
Giving me a new vision,
of remaining years untasted.

I’ve gone through much,
yet remain feeling blessed.
I wouldn’t have my testimony,
without God giving the test.

Blasphemy--Warning: Explicit Language and Highly Offensive

(These are lyrics to a song I wrote called "Blasphemy")

Verses:
Mother Mary sat on a bench with me today
But I couldn't think of one goddamn thing to say
'Cept, "Mother, oh! Won't you please save my soul right now?
I'd gladly do it but I don't know exactly how"
Hail Mary! Bless me twice!
Judas betrayed Jesus Christ
In Revelations, prophets said
John the Baptist lost his head

Chorus:
You gotta pander to my ego
Herod was my hero
Why didn't Noah's Ark fall apart?
Genesis was...just the start

Verses:
St. Peter slammed those Pearly Gates right into my fuc*ing face
Just too much sin I can't get in; no mansion there for me awaits
The wife of Lot, she turned to salt, but it was not all her fault
She ran away and then looked back as Sodom burned, and that's a fact

Repeat Chorus...

Verses:
Well, life was Hell so Jonah sailed into the belly of a whale
Daniel in the lion's lair; Delilah chopped off Samson's hair
Cain killed Abel out of spite as the Lamb of God got sacrificed
There came the Whore of Babylon while Thomas doubted every-one

Repeat Chorus...

Highly Intelligent Gluteus Maximus

The student sits in third row last chair
His foolish words of attention are blurted everywhere
He understands not the value of listening
For he seeks laughs and howls for the teacher’s off>< pissing
Until finally the day of teacher student conflict
The teacher enquires of the student’s gimmicks
Young man confronting the joker for all to hear
Your gall for the learned compliance suitable for classroom learning
Indicates your true ability of one of extremely asinine qualities
I must admit as all the students are listening here
You are the greatest highly intelligent gluteus Maximus I ever did hear

Do you see what I see?
In the light of the new day
While birds chirp
Expectantly

Do you see the potential?
Of trying again
Doing it maybe a little
Differently

A new day,
Another chance
To try old things
Or something new

The favour and grace
Of being woken up
Can only be fathomed
When you witness
The sadness and heartbreak
Of someone who lost a loved one

The what if’s and the wish I could haves
Written on their faces

So if today you wake up sad,
Tired of life and all its challenges

Spare a thought -
You are still needed

Someone still needs you
To be their shoulder,
Someone still needs you
To share in their laughter

But most importantly
You are still here by grace

I Praise Them Highly For Their Wisdom

Most parents don't know that giving
their children everything they want:
is the easiest way to spoil them;
I grew up differently and understood
how hard they worked to ask
for anything and the only time
I got something to be thrilled about
was on Christmas and on birthdays!

Look at the other kids
who got everything:
they got drunk, stole and did
drugs; they also skipped school,
and some of them went to jail!

I'll be always grateful to my parents
not to have spoiled me, but disciplined me
and taught me how to fear and love God;
if these hands never took a thing which wasn't
mine or I was never disrespectful to others:
I praise them highly for their wisdom!

Why I love C.D’s poem “ A Highly Debated Issue”:

Carolyn Devonshire’s poems showcase the extraordinary thoughtful mind behind those lines. All of Carolyn’s poems are profound, and full of depth, but this poem especially touched me - I had the similar experience of losing a beloved one to the deadly disease, and we were not able to give him relief during the last days of intense pain. Carolyn was a strong, sensitive, generous, caring human being and a talented poetess, who loved life in her own way - she loved sand, and left her footprints on the shores of this mysterious earth.

A Highly Sensitive Nature

How hilarious is being born
with a highly sensitive nature;
this is unmanly and very rare
for someone seldom forlorn.

If transformation took place on a public stage,
I would be an enraged marionette
attached to strings that a puppeteer
would pull them up and make me act;
and sadder than a tearful boy without
a toy: I'll kick my performance into fast gear!

Would I be a tiny Pinocchio made of wood and nails?
I hate to lie, skip school and be another rascal;
Charlamane the Lion fits me better by all means:
Bill Baiter is quite funny, his jokes can crack a wall!

How silly is to assume that no great stature
is found in those with a highly sensitive nature;
hiding emotions and feelings and not burst out
into hard laughter with friends is missing out a lot!

Highly Demanded

Highly Demanded

When your yard with weeds is all full
And now you know it is time to pull
All of them up root after each root
So they won't reproduce or bare fruit.

One day myself did decide to study
Determined I was an old fuddy duddy
Like weeds found myself hard to bare
After seeing all the gray in my hair.

From gray to silver seemed to change
Someone said it sure seemed strange
Poem concerning it should write about
Not being ashamed or having to pout.

This one thought I should write for you
If ever your dream dares to come true
Let it be about Tony Curtis or Bennett
And make sure in dream I am in it.

Dream also by me was just discovered
High up in air for a while have hovered
By the time back to earth I had landed
My poems by many were highly demanded.

Feeling Blessed & Highly Favored
Written: by Miracle Man
3:30 AM 3-13-2019

Some days, I imagine myself an island,
Set in a sea of distress.
Or a soda that's lost it's fizz,
Lacking carbonation to make me bubble.

The most instinctive reaction to adversity,
Is to whine, plead, and affix blame.

I frequently remind myself, that God,
Doesn't allow trials in my life without purpose.
It's when I don't allow HIM to work through my situation,
That Satan, uses his tool of discouragement,
To stymie my witness.

Forgive me Lord when I whine,
Please forgive me when I whine.

We're wired to want everything instantly -- even God's response to prayer!

Premium Member Mary, Highly Favored

And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…” *

Favored! Highly favored! Blessed.
Often put to the test.
Often pondering things in her heart.

God didn’t leave her wondering
but turn after turn there were signs.

Her relative, Elizabeth, in her old age
had conceived and the baby in her womb
leaped for joy in the presence
of Mary’s unborn baby boy, and
Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,

“Blessed is she who has believed
that what the Lord has said to her
will be accomplished.”

How did Mary tell her intended?
She was found to be with child.
He intended to divorce her.

Joseph slept on his decision.
An angel of the Lord appeared
in his dream - how vividly -
commanded to take
Mary as his wife. . .

“Joseph, son of David…”
“Do not be afraid…”
“What is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit…”
son, Jesus, “will save his people from their sins”

After Jesus’ birth, nearby
shepherds struck in awe of
angels, proclaiming the birth.
They hurried to find the Christ child.
And once more it is said:
Mary treasured up all these things
and pondered them in her heart.

In the temple, the Holy Spirit
reveals — to righteous and devout Simeon
and the fasting, prayer warrior, worshipper Anna
— this is the One

The child’s father and mother
(Mary and Joseph)
marveled at what was said about him
(Jesus)

Magi followed a star to find the child.
These wise men bowed down and worshipped him.
They gave gifts of gold, incense and myrrh.

Joseph dreams again.
This time the family’s told to flee to Egypt,
to escape danger.

Believe!
There are signs!
Ponder!

Trump Has Been Highly Inteligent

Trump Has Been Highly Inteligent

Trump said that he is highly intelligent;
We tried to understand what he meant,
Analogy by Miller,
A  real thriller;
Sure hope someone can give us a hint.

Would like to see the results of Trump's
Miller Analogies Test, MMPI, Stanford-
Benet, Weschler Bellevue and copy of
college transcript along with income
tax returns. Also, Kavanaugh and
Prophylactic as a tactic for abortion
is also interesting. Robey Versus Wade
was definately not created by Kavanaugh.

Mayor Howard Would Be Highly Upset

Mayor Jack Howard would be,

Highly upset if he could see,

How terrible Monroe came to be.

This wasn't his dream.

He would probably scream.

This place hasn't grown.

This place is so unknown.

He wanted the city limits ,

To spread toward Buckhorn Bend,

But the city has a downsizing trend.

He wouldn't be pleased,

To know that the economy,

Is not at ease. This place,

Has a flesh eating bacteria,

Or some type of chronic disease.

Mayor Jack Howard would be,

Highly upset if he could see,

How terrible Monroe came to be.
