Mayor Howard Would Be Highly Upset

Mayor Jack Howard would be,

Highly upset if he could see,

How terrible Monroe came to be.

This wasn't his dream.

He would probably scream.

This place hasn't grown.

This place is so unknown.

He wanted the city limits ,

To spread toward Buckhorn Bend,

But the city has a downsizing trend.

He wouldn't be pleased,

To know that the economy,

Is not at ease. This place,

Has a flesh eating bacteria,

Or some type of chronic disease.

Mayor Jack Howard would be,

Highly upset if he could see,

How terrible Monroe came to be.

Nicole, I haven't forgotten that poem you wrote about Monroe kicking out Delta and your mayor (probably a past mayor with high hopes) has right to be upset by the outcome. Love, Carolyn
