Best Head Over Heels In Love Poems

Premium Member What Is Love

How do I answer, what is love;
it's part hope, part apparition.
But what love truly is kind of
defies any definition.

Have you ever felt so alive
that it was almost too extreme?
And caught up in passion's drive,
have you ever let yourself dream?

Have you ever stolen a kiss
that left you floating on a cloud?
And filled with spontaneous bliss;
have you ever shouted out loud?

Have you ever danced on the air;
or felt warm and gooey inside?
And when jealous eyes gawk and stare,
have you ever strutted with pride?

Have you ever, for once, felt whole;
falling head over heels in love?
And felt such warmth within your soul;
that it rivals heaven above?

Today I fell head-over-heels in love;
beyond happiness, I'm soaring above.

Love's gentle, and yet harbors such power,
that lingers like the scent of a flower.

I thought that I understood who I was,
till I felt the magic that true love does.

I cannot put my feelings into words,
eclipsing the sun, they outfly the birds.

As my heart opened to accept love's gift,
doubts and inhibitions were set adrift.

Love is an extraordinary feeling,
lifting me to heights that leave me reeling.

I'm afloat, on billowing clouds of bliss,
embracing a dream love blessed with a kiss.

Growing Old Together

Growing Old Together:

Looking through the photographs,
of ten thousand memories ago;
it still seems like yesterday
even though today I am old.

I still remember the first
time we met, I froze
and stood so still!
So afraid that you would turn and go.

Then you smiled and said hello.
I was so very lost for
words and completely dazzled
by the sight of you.

The years have come and gone
since our first hello, yet every
single day will pass and I'm still
head over heels in love with you.

Wrinkles and scars they appear,
but that's not what I see.
I still see that lovely girl I
fell in love with so many years ago.

Gracefully we journey and
together we will grow old, I would
not want it any other way. Loving
you always even till the day I have to go.

Personal interaction with other humans

Is extremely critical to our overall well being

Without it, we become self absorbed

The world can seem like a very lonely place

With no real reason to exist

Love, as they say, makes the world go round

There is no greater truth

Without love, we become robotic

A feeling as if something is missing

Then one day we meet that person

That special someone and immediately we know

From that day on, life will never be the same

The sun will shine brighter

The grass will seem a more intense shade of green

The air will smell so much sweeter

These are only a few of the signs

That we have fallen head over heels in love

The world becomes happier place than you've ever known

And it all comes down to love

Pure, sweet, simple, love

3. Poetry and Gymnastics are holding hands because they are head over heels in love.

Battle of the sexes

5. The battle can only be won, if either one, bonds the pieces of peace together.

Empty Heart

It was a late evening when I met you
I walked into the room and I saw you
Engrossed in what you were doing, without a care
I knew then that you were a being rare

I kept making efforts to garner your attention
Which was tough, with your demeanour and gumption
Of doing things right and doing them on time
You wouldn't be distracted without a reason or rhyme

But I finally broke through that hard external
Structure you built around, and found love I felt was eternal
Although I felt, a losing battle I was fighting
And being in your company was rarer than Comet sighting

You opened up to me, up to the threshold of your comfort
And I was head over heels in love and I made all possible effort
To keep you happy and always be with you like a useful tool
But your actions kept making me feel like a fool

My place in your life it slowly dawned
Was requirement based, and your heart you never pawned
For my happiness and you never saw us as one
My heart shattered as though shot by a gun

So I turned away with heart heavy but good wishes for you
Prayed to the lord to give you success and happiness too
My prayers were answered and you attained fame
Adulation and followers, part of the game

My mind degenerated, as for your sins I atoned
I lost my sanity and everything I owned
But even my insane mind only had thoughts of you
Despite everything I went through, my heart had love for you

Then I saw you one day as you walked past me
Your eyes looking at me, but not seeing me
You flicked coins towards me like a work of art
They filled my begging bowl, but emptied my heart

Poverty Through the Eyes of a Missionary

I was head over heels in love with certain mementos I keep,
they’re like my precious treasures unknown to everyone;
a place where I used to keep them were hidden in my room,
a kind of sanctuary, a private locus sealed with continuity.

I had those stamps collected from different countries and places,
post cards, books, key holders, rosary beads, stampitas, and photos;
they reminded me of my visits to these places where I’d been to,
living memories, collection of souvenirs with values deep within.

Significant places like my home country where my faith began to grow,
along with a diversity of cultures that truly honed and enriched me,
meeting those peoples and experiencing their individual differences,
made me a real person; vulnerable to the needs and issues of being sane.

Across the length of years that I’d spent in keeping those mementos,
some friends, relatives and family members contributed in my own,
as personal stuffs, memoirs, or proofs of having truly been in those places;
from the bottom of my heart, I thank them and indeed, a big difference.

With my constant mobility, however, as one called to serve with migrants,
there’s difficulty to keep them all, carrying them with me wherever I go,
hence, I thought it best to give them away and share with others who like them;
be a simple missionary with nothing much as Christ had told his first disciples.

It’s part of of my religious vows to put into practice what poverty means;
detachment may mean a lot and it embraces nothingness, renunciation –
of one’s will that reflects his agenda for the present and future that holds,
all gets the bottom line - ‘vow of poverty’ in the context of my religious calling.

Premium Member Love Knows Not Age

My dad fell head over heels in love with my mom during their college years. Mom was a petite, a dark haired, dark skinned little angel would could warble a song like none other, with a smile that earned her the name, Sunshine! Her real name? Angel! He was a tall, handsome, fair-skinned, bearded man from a far off land named Persia. He spoke no Arabic. She spoke no Farsi or Armenian, though her father was Armenian. The very first words she ever said to him were, “Are you alright?” when he was thrown off the maintenance truck, probably because he was staring at her and not holding on. They fell madly in love…..Only later….later did they discover that she was 10 years his senior. She looked much younger. He looked much older, and this was the Middle East where age MATTERS.

A strange twist of fate
My love not defined by years
Why should it matter?

She broke up with him and she broke her own heart in so doing. He tried to stay away. Not only was she older, she was part Arab, and his mother would NEVER approve. Armenians married Armenians. If they did not do so, the race would die out. She threatened him in a letter. “If you marry that Arab, you are no longer my son!”

Forbidden…your love
My heart in state of turmoil
Family demands

The age difference was a chasm that was impossible to cross….but he loved her. He adored her…her smile…her tender heart...her beautiful voice. He begged her to come back to him. “I cannot live without you.” She had been longing to hear those words. They married, and everyone named them….the love birds. When Mom got sick with MS, it was Dad who cared for her, who wouldn't put her in a home, who shed tears for the woman who had borne him three children and had been a support to him during his years of administrative and pastoral work in Iran. He bathed her, brushed her teeth, combed her hair, changed her soiled clothes, took her for rides…the only time she felt free! He carried her down three flights of stars on his back when he had to rush to the bomb shelter….Don’t tell me love is bound to age! NONSENSE! I've seen with my own eyes…a love that defies all odds…and remains strong…to the gates of death.

Love Me For Me - the Real Me

See me not caring anymore
see me walking out the door
you've hurt me for the last time
and I'm tired of you trying to
mess with my mind, so see me
not caring anymore, see me
see me walking out the door...
Someday somebody will find me
and fall head over heels in love
with me, somebody who will
appreciate me for me...
I thought you were the one now
I know I was wrong but oh well it
wasn't the first time, it won't be the
last time, ‘cuz I know I'm not always
a very good judge of character but
someday maybe I will find my soul
mate and live happily ever after until
then I just have to believe someday
somebody will find me and LOVE
ME FOR ME…
It's unbelievable how many times
I've been played the fool but I guess
that's how it goes when you think
everybody's has a heart of gold but
I'm tired of being used and played the
fool so you are the last one from this
moment on until I know my soul
mate finally comes along...
Yeah 'cuz I just gotta keep believing
someday, somebody will find me and
LOVE ME FOR ME, LOVE ME FOR
ME...THE REAL ME.

Miles Apart

We live together
Yet we live miles apart
The blackness of addiction
Damaging my soul’s heart.

He works during the day
I work through the night
I believe in my dreams
He believes I’ve no right.

He’s two different people
Sharing the same lies
An intoxicating nightmare
You can see in his eyes.

In the sober state
He denies what he knows
But intoxicated beyond logic
Like a volcano he blows.

Heaving cruel words
He stumbles here and there
Mindless to the pain
He induces without care.

The distance between us
Grows every day
Making me question
Why I bother to stay.

Still I remember
The man I once knew
Handsome and compassionate
He was my dream come true.

His eyes once shined
A mischievous green
And his intimate touch
Made me feel like a queen.

It’s been eight long years
Since our first blind date
But the addiction he harbors
Has sealed our fate.

We live together
Yet we live miles apart
The blackness of co-dependence
Only a victim can chart.

Note:

For 12 years I was married to a very abusive alcoholic--and finally after a miscarriage as
a result of the abuse--I left. A year later I was set up on a blind date with a man I
thought was my dream come true. Handsome, hardworking, compassionate, and downright sexy!
I fell head over heels in love with him--a divorcee like myself--and 3 years later moved
in with him on his hobby farm. He said I made him feel like a king--and I felt like his
queen--this poem tells my story......

I Am Head Over Heels In Love

I’m Head Over Heels in Love

There’s no need at all times
To have a pony tail
I love your smile, though
I have to say

There’s no need to
Always wear that yellow dress
Though it brings smile to my face
Even when I’m under stress

My love is odd, and
Believe me, it’s endless
Just one your look, my sweetie
Opens the door to heavens

Head Over Heels

I only like the young ones the beautiful and tall
brunettes or redheads, or bleach blonde Barbie doll
head over heels in love again spin into a daze
‘cause we got different ways

I only like the young ones, the beautiful and tall
if they’ve got it together, for sure I will fall
head over heels in love again always fall apart
with my broken heart

I only like the young ones the beautiful and tall
the fool never sees the writing on the wall
head over heels in love again turned all around
true love never found

You Call Me Your Crazy Man

You Call Me Your Crazy Man
By Rick Rucker

You say that I am crazy, it is true,
Head over heels in Love with you!

Look at it from my side,
You are Mister Toad’s Wild Ride!

Around each corner, a new thrill,
Far stronger than any pill!

Each time we meet, you do surprise,
I am a goner, when I look into your eyes!

My sanity departs in running shoes,
When with you, I cannot get the blues,

Some might call me manic,
But it is just, away from you, I panic!

Once back together, The fear abates,
Yet, when we depart, again it awaits!

I love you oh, so strong,
And wish to always love you, hard and long!

You may still call me crazy,
But, in Love, I am not lazy!

With you help, I make progress,
But you are essential to my Happiness!

Now, with you, I can see,
A long and crazy future for You and Me!

I'M Out of Love Again

I only like the young ones the beautiful and tall
the brunettes or the redheads, or the bleach blonde Barbie doll
head over heels in love again and I spin into a daze
but love can’t last forever, ‘cause we got too different ways

I get bored way too easy no woman loves me long
it’s incompatibility and sad to be alone
it’s just the natural way if things, these matters of the heart
and with all my insecurities it always falls apart

(chorus)
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again
back out in the cold cold night with that familiar icy wind
summer days are memories and winter’s just stormed in
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again

I only like the young ones, the beautiful and tall
If they’ve got it all together, it’s for sure I’m gonna fall
Where there’s spark there’s fire, it burns up in a blaze
But love can’t last forever, ‘cause we got too different ways

(chorus)
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again
back out in the cold cold night with that familiar icy wind
summer days are memories and winter’s just stormed in
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again

I get bored way too easy, no woman loves me long
it’s incompatibility and sad to be alone
so as I travel down this road I sing my sad love song
I’ll keep rollin’ town to town, ‘til this road finds me a home

(chorus)
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again
back out in the cold cold night with that familiar icy wind
summer days are memories and winter’s just stormed in
and tonight once more, I’m out of love again

(repeat chorus),/center>
